Triple Black Flyknit Hits The Nike Hyperdunk 2016 Elite

The Nike Hyperdunk series has always been prone to innovation and has long-since served as a training ground for Nike Basketball’s next signature athletes. Guys like Kyrie Irving, Paul George, DeMarcus Cousins, and more have all helped grow the Hyperdunk line in the past, but this year, the Swoosh went out of their way to give us a premium stand-alone model like never before. We’re talking of the Nike Hyperdunk 2016 Elite of course, a luxurious Flyknit creation that takes the timely sock-like woven construction to the next level thanks to bolstered ankle support, Dynamic Flywire cables, a Flyknit base, and full-length Zoom.

The Nike Hyperdunk 2016 Elite represents the game of basketball today – guards and forwards alike can wear the model as its lightweight yet supportive enough to have crossover appeal for any playing style. Multi-directional traction patterns allow quick cuts while the new midsole unit and heel construction provide enough support for a lockdown fit. Today we get a look at the Hyperdunk 2016 Elite in a new “Triple Black” colorway that throws in hints of silver on the Swoosh branding and the perfect icy bottom to cap things off. This pair will launch globally this Saturday, October 1st so check out more detailed shots below and stay tuned for more Nike Basketball release dates right here on Sneaker News.

Nike KD 9 Triple Black Drops Early This October

Kevin Durant got his first taste of the media hysteria surrounding his move to the Golden State Warriors during his new squad’s NBA Media Day festivities yesterday. Seeing Durant in a Warriors jersey is still a bit surreal for some, but Nike Basketball is going to capitalize and then some on KD’s relocation to the Bay Area. We’ve already seen a number of villainous Nike KD 9 colorways utilizing predominantly black Flyknit constructions, but if those weren’t enough for you, then try the KD 9 Triple Black once it releases on October 4th.

Not only did Nike finally introduce Kevin Durant’s signature series to the wonders of Flyknit, but they also lowered the price point to $150 USD and have been churning out enticing color options all summer long. The KD 9 Triple Black offers up a matte black finish that nearly hides the Swoosh branding on the side panels, while the Zoom Air on the entirety of the footbed should provide enough explosive return of energy to last you a year of hooping. What do you thin of this Nike KD 9 Triple Black look? Check out more detailed shots below and head over to our release dates page for more of the latest updates.

NIKE SB ZOOM STEFAN JANOSKI 1 NIKE SB ZOOM STEFAN JANOSKI 2 NIKE SB ZOOM STEFAN JANOSKI 3 NIKE SB ZOOM STEFAN JANOSKI 4

When we think of Fall we typically think of darker colored sneakers like this Hazelnut SB Stefan Janoski that is ideal for the new season. But that’s not always the case, sometimes we get all-white colorways at this point of the year too.

A perfect example is this new colorway of the popular Janoski which does not only feature a basic all-white leather look, but the shoe has instead been given a touch of luxury as a full Ivory ostrich leather can be seen throughout the majority of the upper. Hazelnut detailing has then been added on the tongue branding as well as on the ankle/inner liner.

You can purchase the Nike SB Stefan Janoski Ivory Ostrich at select Nike SB accounts now.

Author’s Take

The ostrich leather upper is a nice touch but I would prefer this shoe in a different colorway. I think black, navy, or even burgundy would all look better.

I like the waterproof features on the boot, makes it more “boot” appropriate. Wouldn’t cop but it’s dope for what it is.

The Nike Air Foamposite Pro Dr. Doom Returns This Black Friday (Video)

One of the most controversial sneakers of all-time returns this Black Friday in the form of the Nike Air Foamposite Pro Dr. Doom. Originally released as a supplement to the Nike Sportswear Fantastic Four Pack, the Dr. Doom name really doesn’t make sense at first, second, third or fifteenth glance at the shoe. The predominantly black shoe with white accents has never been a color scheme Victor Von Doom has used in the comics, video games or in the many bad films he’s been involved in and yet the name stuck has  been accepted by the sneaker community. Despite our best efforts to change the tide, not to mention Marvel Comics handing over the reigns of Iron Man to Doom (and he’s still not black and white), the nickname will probably stick and confused comic book fans will have to wonder why these sneakerheads call their Foams Doom for eternity.

For more information on this release, be sure to bookmark our Nike Air Foamposite Pro Dr. Doom launch page for all the latest news, images, videos and links to buy on release day.
