Triple Black Leather Hits This Nike Footwear Collection Inspired By One Of The Greatest Female Athletes Ever

Nike Sportswear is honoring legendary runner Joan Benoit Samuelson through their upcoming Nike Beautiful X Powerful Collection through four premium women’s exclusive releases on Thursday, October 6th. The collection embodies the fierce competitive spirit of Samuelson, the first-ever winner of the Women’s Olympic Marathon when the competition was introduced at the 1984 Los Angeles Games.

The Nike Beautiful X Powerful Collection utilizes the ever-popular “Triple Black” aesthetic through premium constructions on the Nike Classic Cortez, the Nike Air Max Thea, the Nike Air Presto, and the Nike Air Huarache Ultra. Each pair dons a subtle cracked cement print reminiscent of Tinker Hatfield’s iconic elephant printed aesthetic for a subtle, yet premium twist to each exclusive pair. The insoles read “There is no finish line” in an effort to bring Samuelson’s legendary achievements to the forefront.

Be sure to check out detailed preview images of each “Triple Black” Nike Beautiful X Powerful Collection offering below and let us know which pair is your favorite by taking your thoughts to the comments section.

Nike SB Dunk Low Orange Box Releases Next Week

nike-sb-dunk-low-orange-box-release-date-info

Nike Skateboarding is referencing the history of the shoebox with the next week’s release of the Nike SB Dunk Low “Orange Box” on October 6th. The orange shoebox is forever recognized as an integral part of Nike SB’s early years, as it housed some of the most iconic Nike SB Dunk offerings during the early 2000s.

The Nike SB Dunk Low Orange Box comes equipped with a premium construction of beige and orange leather throughout to mirror the original cardboard boxing, but that’s not all. This special Nike SB Dunk also features an actual shoebox embossed on the heel for an added nod to the unspoken language of hunting down the perfect pair while the insole features a unique graphic of stacked shoeboxes showcasing the history of different colors and aesthetics over the years. Nike SB boxes ranging from pink, blue, grey, orange, and black are all drawn on the footbed in cartoonish simplicity for a nice hidden homage to the imprint’s growth over the past decade and a half.

What do you think of next Thursday’s release of the Nike SB Dunk Low Orange Box? Check out more detailed photos below and stay tuned for more release date updates right here on Sneaker News.

Author’s Take

Like our EIC has shared, I still don?t get how this colorway correlates with the character. It?s a nice simple variation overall so I don?t dislike it.

Nike SB Koston 3 Hyperfeel 1 Nike SB Koston 3 Hyperfeel 2 Nike SB Koston 3 Hyperfeel 3 Nike SB Koston 3 Hyperfeel 4

The Nike SB Koston 3 Hyperfeel just dropped a brand new colorway. Opting to keep things pretty simple, the shoe rocks a clean Black and Grey color scheme. Let’s take a closer look at the shoe.

The Nike SB Koston 3 Hyperfeel appears to have the same construction as the seamless upper is done in a clean Black colorway. Even more Black is placed on the ankle, sole, laces and eyestay. Creating nice contrast is the Grey noted on the heel branding and Nike Swoosh. Minimal color is also placed on the shoe as Orange and Turquoise can be seen on the inner lining of the shoe. Out now, is this a cop or drop?

via: HB

Author’s Take

I was used to seeing the large SB branding on the ankle/sock, but the shoe actually looks good like this as well.

Author’s Take

Nike has so many Flyknit sneakers that it gets pretty tough to keep up with all of them. I usually like my Flyknit sneakers to be low-tops but I can make an exception for this Mercurial Flyknit.

The Nike Air Zoom Cabos Infrared 23 Is Available Now

Nike Air Zoom Cabos 1 Nike Air Zoom Cabos 2

A couple months ago, Nike dropped a remixed version of the Nike Glove, also known as the Nike Air Zoom Cabos. Coming with an upper covered in cords and webbing, the shoe managed to garner lots of attention. Ever since its debut, Nike stopped releasing new colorways, until now. Up next is the Nike Air Zoom Cabos Infrared 23.

Said to use a similar closure system as the Nike Glove, the shoe comes dressed in a White mesh upper that is then wrapped up by a handful of cables done in an Infrared 23 and Black colorway. Also worth noting is that the cables come with reflective hits that I’m sure is quite a sight to see in the light. A White midsole and Infrared 23 outsole round out the main features on the shoe.  Out now, pick up your very own pair today for the retail price of $135.

via: Nike

Author’s Take

I’ve yet to see these in person, but I really like what I see in the pictures. The matching outsole is also a nice touch.

The Nike Air Presto Greedy Will Release This Weekend

NIKE AIR PRESTO 1 NIKE AIR PRESTO 2 NIKE AIR PRESTO 3

Just yesterday we gave you a first look at the shoe you see above which was thought to be a Beams x Nike Air Presto collaboration. Apparently, that’s not the case. As a matter of fact, the shoe is not a collaboration at all. Let’s try this again. Here is the Nike Air Presto Greedy.

The Nike Air Presto Greedy is sort of meant to be a “What The” rendition of the model. Sort of how like how Nike did with the Air Max 95 Greedy a year ago. The Presto comes dressed in an array of colors said to be used on the model on previous releases. The left and right shoe use completely different colors to help give the pair even more of a unique look. Said to be dropping on October 1st, let us know what you think of the Nike Air Presto Greedy.

via: SN

Author’s Take

I like it. All those colors used are pretty dope, I wouldn’t mind if it was a bit bolder though. Regardless, this is a dope shoe to pick up and bring it out for some fun next Summer.

The Nike Air Trainer Cruz Gets A Classy Pair Of New Colorways (Video)

Signature trainers for NFL players are such a rarity in this day and age that when a brand does try to release one it is always a momentous event. Nike did just that with the release of the Nike Air Trainer Cruz that tapped New York Giants wideout Victor Cruz to be the guy late last year. His journey from famous sneakerhead to Nike signature athlete was fascinating to witness and it culminated with a trainer that was very well-received when they first dropped. After a handful of colorways have released (including one infamous cancellation) the Air Trainer Cruz is back for the season with a pair of new colorways that are sure to please fans who want a more sedated look.

Expected to drop later this year are two new Nike Air Trainer Cruz colorways in Cream White and Black and White. These are a far cry from Haystack and Rush Blue colorways that dropped during the initial Cruz run so it will be interesting to see how these resonate with sneakerheads.

Nike Air Force 1 High Flax Returns For Women

‘Tis the season for Nike Sportswear’s Timberland-inspired “Flax” regime to arrive at retail shelves. While the past two autumns we’ve seen a number of Nike’s best retros don the outdoorsman aesthetic, this year any announcement on a return to form has been noticeably absent from the release slate, until now. Today we get a look at the Nike Air Force 1 High “Flax” which released in November 2015 exclusively in a men’s size run. Now NSW will be bringing back the head-turning take on Bruce Kilgore’s iconic basketball high-top for a women’s size run only this October.

The Nike Air Force 1 High Flax features a subtle Flax suede tooling while a classic gum outsole unit adds to the lifestyle appeal. These were a huge hit last year and the previous year when the Nike Air Force 1 Mid “Flax” debuted, but do you think this Nike Air Force 1 High will have the same hype this Fall 2016 season? Check out more detailed shots below and stay tuned for a stateside release date right here on Sneaker News. If you can’t wait, international spots like Titolo have your size right now.

Nike Air Presto Greedy

The Nike Air Presto began its journey as being one of the most colorful shoes out in the market. Soon enough, Presto lovers will be able to enjoy all those classics at once.

Previously billed as a BEAMS collaboration, this Nike Air Presto is not affiliated with the shop and is instead an energy release from within Nike Sportswear that takes on the “What The” approach that has become much more common over the years. It mashes up some familiar Air Presto colorways from the past, and much like the Air Max 95 that carried the same moniker a year ago, the Nike Air Presto “Greedy” is a homage to…itself. Nike confirms that these are releasing on October 1st globally.
