Detailed Look At The Nike Lunarepic Flyknit Shield

Nike Running changed the way we think about Lunarlon technology with the Nike LunarEpic Flyknit. The revamped cushion system worked wonders for cross-training, distance running, and was stylish enough to wear even casually. Now the Swoosh is back with a minor change that makes a major difference in the aesthetic deapartment with the Nike LunarEpic Flyknit Shield.

The LunarEpic Flyknit Shield takes the Flyknit woven upper and adds a protective shield overlay in a head-turning reflective Metallic Silver. The overall debut colorway is rather reminiscient of the Oregon Ducks’ always changing football uniforms given the black woven base and hints of Volt on the Dynamic Flywire and Lunarlon bottom. This particular pair will a women’s exclusive but we’re sure other renditions will follow throughout Fall/Winter 2016.

Continue onward for a better look at the latest Nike running model and know that this women’s exclusive colorway will be available from select international retailers like Solebox on October 1st.

Introducing the Nike SB Roshe Mid

The Nike Roshe Two finally hit retail shelves before the end of Summer 2016, giving Dylan Raasch’s instant-classic Nike Roshe Run a sequel worthy of the original Zen-inspired lifestyle creation. But now that the Nike Roshe Two is out and doing its thing, you can expect a number of variants and offshoots to come to fruition like Nike Skateboarding’s own take on the silhouette, the Nike SB Roshe Mid.

That’s right, Nike SB has finally used the Roshe Run as inspiration. There were other silhouettes that came to fruition like the Nike SB Trainerendor that had certain Roshe elements to it, but this high-arching Nike SB Roshe Mid is one of the strangest cross-brand incorporation of the Roshe’s DNA that we’ve seen yet. The upcoming model is slated to release on October 1st in grade school sizes to start, but we hope to see more of this Roshe Mid on the horizon throughout Fall 2016.

The Nike SB Roshe Mid features a neoprene sock-like fit extended around the ankle for dynamic support while an oversized midfoot strap connects the heel in a cage-esque overlay. Even the toecap gets added dimension thanks to Tape technology to match the rugged outsole unit. What do you think of the latest take on the Roshe? Stay tuned for more updates right here on Sneaker News and grab your pair on Saturday, October 1st.

The Nike Air Max 97 will soon be celebrating its 20th anniversary. The shoe hasn’t been in stores since 2012, so you know Nike is planning on doing something to celebrate this Air Max’s 20 years of existence. What you see above is the Nike Air Max 97 Silver Bullet. There is good news and bad news about this shoe. The good news: It’s releasing! The bad news: It’s releasing only in Italy.

The Nike Air Max 97 was a special model because it was the first Nike shoe to feature a full-length Air unit on the sole. The Silver Bullet colorway was designed by Christian Tresser and it was an instant hit in Italy, for that reason, Nike has decided to make this retro an Italy exclusive to help celebrate the models 20th anniversary. Italy’s colors appear on the tongue and heel to help give the shoe a nice little touch. Said to be dropping on October 5th, you will be able to find them at select retailers such as Slam Jam, NikeLab ST18, Excelsior and One Block Down in Milan, Holypop in Rome and LuisaViaRoma in Florence.

I used to have an Air Max 97 when I was in middle/high school. My mom picked them up for me at a second-hand store. I wasn’t sure what they were back then, but I thought they looked dope. Dope to see the model make a return, I hope other colorways arrive stateside.
