Russell Westbrook Decided To Break Out The Air Jordan XX8 Last Night

The Oklahoma City Thunder evened up their playoff series against the San Antonio Spurs last night as they defeated them at home 111-97.

Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook lead the charge in the 4th quarter to help the Thunder capture the victory. While we’ve seen Russell wearing the Air Jordan XXX religiously since it released earlier this year, last night he decided to bring back the Air Jordan XX8. As you can see above, Westbrook wore the ‘Why Not?” orange and blue PE colorway of the Jordan XX8.

Are you a fan of the XX8 and this colorway in particular? Let us know down in the comments below.

Best Look Yet Of The Air Jordan 8 Cigar And Champagne

Jordan Brand still has four more championships to celebrate in their Cigar & Champagne series and next up is Michael Jordan’s final win during his first three-peat against the Phoenix Suns in 1993. Michael Jordan wore the Air Jordan 8 despite suffering from a lingering foot injury. The shoe that represented the early to mid-90s obsession with bulky straps, chunky outsoles and When Nike offered a replacement shoe, Jordan declined knowing it would be bad for his brand. If it weren’t for that decision we might not have seen the Air Jordan 8 “Cigar” and Air Jordan 8 “Champagne”. The two pairs will be available on June 25th for $250 USD. The Champagne portion is represented through the use of a clean Light Bone and Metallic Gold combination while the Cigar pair features an ominous black upper accented by celebratory confetti speckles. Dont Call This Upcoming Air Jordan 12 The Reverse Cherry

“we’ve been seeing this nickname float around and let’s just put a stop to it now”
the og white/red pair was nicknamed the “Cherry 12s”

Jordan Brand’s summer release slate is almost set, highlighted by a number of awesome upcoming colorways that feature Olympic references, oft-forgotten OG installments, and the latest City Pack interpretation. But before we start drooling over this upcoming Air Jordan 12 “Gym Red” – releasing July 2nd for $190 – with its premium tumbled leather and Metallic Red accents, let’s dead the “Reverse Cherry” nickname now. Back when the Air Jordan 12 hit retailers in the traditional White/Varsity Red colorway in 1997, the shoe was inspired by Japan’s rising sun flag, but for some reason, the Cherry 12 moniker stuck. It’s not like the name was rooted in Jordan lore like the Flu Games, which referenced that iconic playoff performance against the Utah Jazz. Here a Chicago vibe is reimagined through the use Gym Red as the dominant color choice while the asymmetrical mudguard swipes across the bottom in white. Black accents land on the heel branding and lining. Stick with us after the break for a better view of this upcoming Jordan 12 release and let us know if you plan on grabbing a pair once it hits retailers on July 2nd.

I really want to like this Championship pack, but I’m just not a big fan of the Air Jordan 8 to begin with. The theme is creative, the execution is just okay.

Wild Is One Word I Can Use To Describe This Air Jordan 1 Royal Boost Custom

Air Jordan 1 Boost 1 Air Jordan 1 Boost 2

So what is exactly is a Air Jordan 1 Royal Boost Custom? It’s exactly what you think it is, a mash-up between the Air Jordan 1 and the adidas Ultra Boost. How so? Well, let’s take a look.

Designed by John Geiger and created/constructed by The Shoe Surgeon, the Air Jordan 1 Royal Boost utilizes the Air Jordan 1 Royal upper and sole-swaps it to pair it up with the Boost sole of the the adidas Ultra Boost. One quick look at social media, and you already know the shoe is receiving mixed reactions. “How could you do this to an iconic sneaker?!”. “Why?”, and other comments of similar fashion appear on my timeline. Sure the shoe is not going to please everybody, but let’s keep it real, the Air Jordan 1 High is one of the least comfortable retros. Giving it a Boost sole unit automatically makes it the most comfortable retro of all-time! The shoe’s new look may not be considered “classic” or “OG”, but if it means that my feet are going to more comfortable, I’m all for it. I can dig it. Thoughts? Sound off in the comment below.
