Air Jordan 6 Chameleon Releasing During 2017 All-Star Weekend

Introducing the Air Jordan 6 “Chameleon”, Jordan Brand’s latest special edition colorway slated to release during this upcoming February’s All-Star Weekend 2017 festivities. Jordan Brand always brings the heat for All-Star Weekend, and this year in New Orleans will only further that cause thanks to an all iridescent Air Jordan 6 that changes colors on the premium leather upper from black to a full-color spectrum of shiny teal and more.

The Air Jordan 6 Chameleon showcases Jordan Brand’s dedication to new and exciting ideas while slightly twisting traditionalism on its head with the icy outsole. Not only is the icy blue bottom altered, but now it displays a distinct marble-like quality for added depth. We don’t have any further information on the Air Jordan 6 Chameleon, but stay tuned for more updates. In the meantime, check out the best look we have yet below and let us know what you think of this pair by taking your thoughts to the comments section.

Detailed Look At The Air Jordan 1 Top Three

Jordan Brand is always searching for new and old inspirations alike to tie into their storied retro release slate which is why we’re so excited about the Air Jordan 1 “Top Three”, slated to release on November 28th for $160 USD. The “What The” combination of the Air Jordan 1 “Banned”, Air Jordan 1 “Royal”, and Air Jordan 1 “Chicago” come together to create a mismatched installment sure to be a big hit for this coming Holiday 2016 season.

Today we get the best look yet at the Air Jordan 1 Top Three, as the smooth leather panels reference three of the most iconic colorways of Mike’s first signature model through the use of asymmetrical color blocking throughout. While a “Chicago” inspired white mid-section keeps the outside clean, the medial side gets a dose of black for a “Royal” and “Banned” like aesthetic while mismatched ‘Nike Air’ branding and either red or royal outsoles keep the “What The” theme alive and well. What do you think of the latest Air Jordan 1 colorway?

Author’s Take

I?m biased towards the silhouette and even though it?s pretty basic, the colorway is a classic either way. I?m not really into it that much, but, I?ll still probably purchase since it?s a simple and clean offering.

Another Preview Of The Air Jordan 6 Chameleon

Air Jordan 6 1 Air Jordan 6 Air Jordan 6 2

Another look at the upcoming Air Jordan 6 Chameleon is provided, as the silhouette is scheduled to make its debut in 2017.

As the moniker suggests, the basketball sneaker’s stealthy leather upper is defined by an iridescent finish which shifts colors and also suggests to be rubbed off that is similarly found on the Air Jordan 12 Wings. Additional details include 3M reflective accents, iridescent lace tips and a clear translucent outsole.

You can expect to find this pair at select Nike and JB stockists starting February 2017.

Stay tuned to KicksOnFire for further updates.

Author’s Take

I like the iridescent upper and this blacked-out profile is a crowd pleaser. If the upper does rub off, it’ll be interesting what it reveals. Nonetheless, this should garner a lot of attention.

The Air Jordan 1 continues its hot streak with another new patent leather colorway that we see above.

This time around Jordan Brand decided to black out the iconic silhouette to give it a sleek and stylish look. Black patent leather dominates the entire upper with lighter shades of black landing on the overlays for a hit of contrast. Other details include a white midsole, Anthracite branding on the Jumpman on the tongue as well as on the “Anti-Gravity Machines” writing on the inside of the tongue, and a black rubber outsole.

At the moment this Air Jordan 1 High in black patent leather is expected to arrive at retailers on November 1st with a box price of $150.

Author’s Take

So far I’d have to say that this is my favorite patent leather Air Jordan 1 to release this year. I hope these go on sale after they release and I can grab them for well below retail.

I’m not even sure if the women will like this colorway. Jordan Brand should have never made these.

The Jordan Jasmine Returns In Metallic Gold

JORDAN JASMINE 1 JORDAN JASMINE 2 JORDAN JASMINE 3 JORDAN JASMINE 4 JORDAN JASMINE 5 JORDAN JASMINE 6 JORDAN JASMINE 7

We haven’t seen too much of the Jordan Jasmine since it made its debut earlier this year, but today the women’s silhouette returns with a bold new colorway.

The high top lifestyle sneaker makes its return in a Metallic Gold colorway that comes with a textured upper that resembles snake or croc. The wings branding by the ankle has also been done in gold with the only contrast coming on the white midsole/outsole unit.

Any ladies out there fans of the Jordan Jasmine? What are your thoughts on this gold colorway?

via: eBay

Author’s Take

I think the Jordan Jasmine has potential. Jordan Brand just need to tinker with the colors and materials to make it better.

Another Look At The Air Jordan 6 Chameleon

AIR JORDAN 6 AIR JORDAN 6 2 AIR JORDAN 6 3 AIR JORDAN 6 4 AIR JORDAN 6 5 AIR JORDAN 6 6 AIR JORDAN 6 7

First previewed last month, we are now treated to more images of the upcoming Air Jordan 6 Chameleon.

This new colorway of the Air Jordan 6 features a black leather upper that possesses iridescent qualities much like a chameleon does. It’s being said that the upper rubs off in similar fashion as the Air Jordan 12 Wings that released earlier this year. Additional details include iridescent detailing on the aglets and midsole, a translucent outsole, and 3M hits on the perforations on the upper.

No release date has been announced yet but stay tuned to Kicks On Fire for updates. February of 2017 has been mentioned as a possible release date.

Author’s Take

Looks kind of similar to the Black Cat colorway that is going to release later this year. Unless that upper looks amazing when rubbed off, I don’t plan on picking these up.

Chris Paul Laces Up Air Jordan 11 Clippers PE In Royal Blue

There was a brief moment in last year’s Western Conference Playoffs when it seemed like everything had finally broke in the Los Angeles Clippers’ favor. Steph Curry went down with an injury against the Houston Rockets, and Chris Paul and Blake Griffin were finally healthy together and up 2-0 on the Portland Trailblazers. Then we were reminded of the curse of that franchise when both stars went out for the season by the end of that series. The Los Angeles Clippers are hoping things go a bit differently this coming post-season, but we have a full 82 games to see if they’ll get there. In the meantime, Jordan Brand is sending Chris Paul some awesome Air Jordan 11 exclusives like this latest white and royal Jordan 11 Clippers PE worn against the Utah Jazz last night.

The Jordan 11 Clippers PE features a full mid-top construction complete with a traditional white Cordura mesh base and icy outsole. Where this pair stands out though is that shiny patent leather mudguard, as a royal blue shade mesmerizes. What do you think of the look? Check out a full on-feet preview below and stay tuned for more player exclusive updates as the NBA season begins right here on Sneaker News.

Air Jordan 6 Hare Releasing In March 2017

A couple of years ago when customizing went through its notorious boom, plenty of people were outfitting their Jordan retros with custom colorways from past and future models. The mash-ups were usually well received too, so why wouldn’t Jordan Brand start translating some of their more iconic colorways onto different silhouettes? Today we get a first look at that thought process with March 2017’s Air Jordan 6 Hare.

The Air Jordan 6 “Hare” takes the recognizable colorway from the Bugs Bunny-inspired Air Jordan 7 “Hare” with a clean White/Pure Platinum base accented by Gym Red throughout. Unfortunately, there’s no carrot inspired zig-zagging pattern on the tongue like the Air Jordan 7 counterpart, but the Jordan 6 Hare still manages to be an interesting offering. Some may say this is a bit too close to the Air Jordan 6 “Maroon” release given the similar shades throughout, but what do you think?

Be sure to check out a full view of the upcoming Jordan 6 Hare below and stay tuned for more of the latest Jordan release dates right here on Sneaker News.

NBA 2K17 Kicks: The Air Jordan 1 Shattered Backboard Alternate Concept

In June of 2015, Jordan Brand released maybe the most popular and important new retro colorway of the past several years, the Air Jordan 1 Shattered Backboard. It proved that not everything has to be an OG colorway to be a hit; the sneaker community just needs a solid color scheme, quality materials and a story that expands upon the mythology of Michael Jordan.

16 months later, we were treated to a sequel in the form of the Air Jordan 1 Reverse Shattered Backboard. It featured the same orange, black and white color palette but in a style that brought to mind the iconic OG Chicago colorway. Interestingly enough, the “Reverse” in the name seems to be a sneakerhead creation as Nike officially calls them Shattered Backboard Away. Not surprisingly, these sold out rather briskly as well.

So what can we expect in another 16 months? Well, if Nike is to be believed and the second Shattered Backboard was the “Away” colorway, that probably means that the first one was the “Home” colorway. What about an “Alternate” colorway?

You can see where we’re going with this. Jordan Brand this year released an “Alternate” collection that imagined Air Jordan player exclusives that MJ would have worn during the days of the Air Jordan 2, the Air Jordan 4, the Air Jordan 5 Low and even the Air Jordan 12. Following in those footsteps, we created what we hope will eventually become the next step in the Shattered Backboard “franchise” with what we’re calling the Shattered Backboard Alternate. Our canvas was provided of course by NBA 2K17.

NBA 2K17 - Air Jordan 1 Shattered Backboard Alternate 3

NBA 2K17 - Air Jordan 1 Shattered Backboard Alternate 1

NBA 2K17 - Air Jordan 1 Shattered Backboard Alternate 2 NBA 2K17 - Air Jordan 1 Shattered Backboard Alternate 4 NBA 2K17 - Air Jordan 1 Shattered Backboard Alternate 5 NBA 2K17 - Air Jordan 1 Shattered Backboard Alternate 6 NBA 2K17 - Air Jordan 1 Shattered Backboard Alternate 7 NBA 2K17 - Air Jordan 1 Shattered Backboard Alternate 8 NBA 2K17 - Air Jordan 1 Shattered Backboard Alternate 10 Since the first Shattered Backboard borrowed heavily from style of the Air Jordan 1 Black Toe with a hint of Royal and the sequel was a Chicago homage, it’s only fitting that the Alternate take from another classic, the recently re-released Air Jordan 1 Banned. Is this a sneaker you would like to see in the future from the Jordan Brand or has the theme run its course?
