Digi Camo Returns On The Nike Flyknit Racer Blue Tint

Nike is already planning for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics by creating an Indigo-dyed Nike Flyknit Racer to showcase Japan’s love of selvedge denim (you can check out more of the pair here) but just in case you can’t wait for that pair to release in the future, this upcoming Nike Flyknit Racer “Blue Tint” should hold you over once it releases on November 11th.

Nike Sportswear has been revitalizing the instant running classic in a number of ways lately, as this particular pair adds a dash of Digi-Camo to the heel tab for a unique twist that adds a lifestyle flare. The appeal in this “Blue Tint” colorway comes in the form of a high-contrast color blocking with a predominantly white upper turned on its head on the medial side for a darker twist. A dark navy midsole adds a simple finish to an otherwise head-turning release that should benefit those of you that thought the recently released Nike Flyknit Racer “Pure Platinum” was a little too subdued for your tastes.

What do you think of the Nike Flyknit Racer “Blue Tint”? Check out more detailed shots below and know that this pair will arrive at select Nike retailers on November 11th for $160 USD.

The Nike Air Max 90 Seattle Releases Tomorrow

Nike Air Max 90 Nike Air Max 90 1 Nike Air Max 90 2

A premium edition of the Nike Air Max 90 is set to debut this weekend, as it’s officially dubbed, “Seattle.”

Flaunting a pristine white finish, the sneaker’s aesthetic is defined by laser engraved icons on the toe which reflect the northwestern city’s notable attractions — fishing industry, Space Needle and Bigfoot. Iridescent detailing is evident on the eyelets and branded heel badge to further pronounce its profile, while it’s topped off with an icy translucent outsole.

You can purchase this standout pair exclusively at the Nordstrom x Nike Sneaker Boutique in downtown Seattle, starting tomorrow, October 15th.

Nike made a great decision in bringing back the Nike Air Unlimited. An even bolder decision was to bring back the model in brand new modern colorways. Above you will find brand new looks consisting of a Noble Red and Purple Smoke offering.

Done in monochromatic/tonal fashion both new colorways rock its respective hue all over the unique looking upper, this includes the straps, branding, laces, sock like bootie and entire leather construction. Giving contrast to both pairs is the Sail colored sole note below. No word on when these will drop, but as soon as we know, we will be sure to let you know.

Author’s Take

To be quite honest, I wasn’t too familiar with this model when it dropped back in the ’90s, but seeing in in this light, in 2016, in this colorway, I can definitely see myself messing with these. Both colorways are pretty dope.

Nike Air Force 1 Mid University Blue

The Nike Air Force 1 Mid goes collegiate for this scholarly “University Blue” colorway. The shade of light blue with a name that seems to not-so-coincidentally reference the University of North Carolina hits this version of the mid-top Air Force 1 hard for a classic two-tone color block in suede and canvas with white accents. Whether you’re a Tarheel or not, this is going to be a hard colorway to pass up for Air Force 1 fans. Grab ’em while they last at select Nike Sportswear retailers like Kith.

Chelsea Ends Partnership With adidas, Signs Contract With Nike For Over $1 Billion

Chelsea has announced a new 15-year £900 million sponsorship with Nike to start during the 2017-2018 season, thus ending their current deal with adidas. This will be the largest kit partnership in the history of English football clubs, as the sponsorship will come in at roughly £60 million per season (still behind the yearly total of Manchester United’s 10-year £75 million contract with adidas).

Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia had this to say about the new partnership between the Blues and the Swoosh: ?This is an incredibly exciting and important deal for the club. Like Chelsea, Nike is known around the world for its excellence and innovation and we look forward to working together in what is sure to be a successful partnership. We believe Nike will be able to support our growth into new markets as well as helping us maintain our place among the world?s elite football clubs.?

Trevor Edwards, President of Nike Brand also chimed in: ?Chelsea is a world-class club with a rich tradition and passionate fans across the globe. The partnership with Chelsea reinforces our leadership position in football. We are excited to help grow the club?s global reach, serving players and supporters with Nike innovation and design.”

What do you think about Chelsea’s switch from the three stripes to the Swoosh? Stay tuned for more updates right here on Sneaker News.

Kyrie Irving and the Cleveland Cavaliers are still riding high off the momentum from last season’s incredible NBA Finals win, but with the upcoming season only a few weeks away, there’s still plenty to figure out as the dust settles before the Cavs hang their first banner in the rafters. But now we have word from Kyrie himself courtesy of WFNY’s Scott Sargent confirming that the Kyrie 3 will release on January 21st, 2017. According to Irving:

?I think we release on January 21st but I definitely will be wearing a pair of 3s for Christmas and going forward for any other holidays,? Kyrie said following the Cavalier’s Thursday shootaround. ?January 21st is what we?re looking to aim at. I?m excited. I?m excited to put the product out to you guys and the stories behind the shoes and the creative behind it. I get really juiced up about it. I get to put my artistic mind to the test.?

Nike Air Foamposite One Night Maroon Releases Next Week

2017 will be a banner year for the Nike Air Foamposite One, as Nike Basketball and Nike Sportswear will honor Eric Avar’s legendary albeit polarizing basketball model’s 20th anniversary with a number of new colorways, OG retros, and more. Until then, the Swoosh is still creating awesome new offerings for this upcoming Fall/Winter 2016 season like the Nike Foamposite Night Maroon slated to release on October 20th for $230 USD.

Classic gum bottoms on the Nike Air Foamposite One are by no means a traditional offering for the famed basketball retro, but it is a feature that Nike started to utilize a few years ago. By adding the gum outsole, a jarring contrast occurs between the bottom and the unique, still-somehow futuristic Foamposite upper. The Nike Foamposite Night Maroon features a pearlescent dose of deep maroon throughout the Foamposite construction while a traditional black lining keeps things simple. Expect this pair to appear somewhere on the Cleveland Cavaliers’ bench rotation before the All-Star break.

The Nike Air Foamposite One “Night Maroon” releases at select retailers like Rock City Kicks next Thursday. Check out our best view of the latest Foamposite offering below and be sure to stay updated on the latest release dates right here on Sneaker News.

Black accents have then been placed on the Swoosh, laces, and inner liner, while a white midsole and gum outsole wrap up the look on this Air Force 1 Low. As you can see in the last image above, the entire upper of the shoe reflects when hit by the light.

Author’s Take

The camo graphic on the upper is a good look and the fact they’re reflective is also pretty cool. Solid colorway for a reasonable price.

Nike’s latest Air Max flagship model is introduced today as we get our first official look at the Nike Air Max 2017.

Boasting a full engineered mesh upper, the Air Max 2017 features a wave pattern/design on the mesh side panels while a large Swoosh has also been added on both the lateral and medial sides. One big difference between the 2017 in comparison to the past couple Air Max models is the fact that Nike decided to remove the Dynamic Flywire that was put in place to lock down the foot. Other details include reflective 3M hits on the upper as well as an Air Max unit sole.

Take a look at two colorways above (blue and black) and look for the Nike Air Max 2017 to debut on November 7, 2016. Stay tuned to Kicks On Fire for updates.

Author’s Take

The design looks decent, but I think Nike should have kept the Dynamic Flywire. It gave the shoe more lifestyle appeal in my opinion. I’m curious to see these in person and try on a pair.

The women’s Nike Air Max 1 Ultra receives a premium update this Fall 2016, as it’s treated in an autumnal finish of mahogany/night maroon.

With the defining tones essentially blended across the entire upper in metallic fashion, the result is a bold, yet eye-catching profile overall which emits shimmering flair and hues in various lightning conditions. In addition, the component is detailed with embossed perforations throughout for a more distinctive look.

All offset against a crisp white midsole unit and matching maroon outsole, you can purchase this pair at select Nike retailers now for $130.

Author’s Take

The silhouette is a classic and in this colorway, it’s an appealing option for the season. Minus the embossed perforations and this pair looks a lot better in a cleaner profile.

The Nike Air Unlimited is regarded as one of Nike Basketball’s most avant-garde designs, and with NBA legend David Robinson wearing them on court, the recipe for success was rather simple.
