Heres An Official List Of The 2016 Nike Mag Winners
By SoleInsider
The winners of the 2016 auto lacing Nike Mag were announced in mid-October and if you entered the raffle you were probably glued to your phone for a couple of hours that day awaiting that notification on the Nike+ app. But unfortunately very few people received good news as there were only 89 pairs made available. Three pairs were auctioned off to charity, so that means that there was supposed to be 86 pairs won through the raffle system.
The company that ran the raffle through Nike’s The Draw is required to make the list of winners public and we have the names of the winners here for you. The strange thing is that there’s only 81 names, so there’s five pairs that are unaccounted for. Here is the official list of winners.

This year Nike ACG introduces one of their most advanced and beefiest boots ever, the Zoom Tallac Flyknit. Since it’s inspired by the original Zoom Tallac Lite, it looks like they’ve decided to bring the OG model back, as well. Originally released in 2008, the once popular ACG model that’s faded into obscurity a bit gets a whole new life this winter with the return of the OG as well as the impressive new Flyknit version.
The Zoom Tallac Lite OG in Pure Platinum, with black and blue accents is available now at select Nike Sportswear retailers and Nike.com.
One of the first ever Nike runners just released in a brand new colorway today. We’re talking about the Nike Cortez.
The vintage runner just dropped in a new “Nai Ke” colorway in both men’s and women’s sizes. For its latest look, the Classic Cortez celebrates footwear culture in China with a “Nai ke” theme. A classic, white, royal and varsity red outfits the design, coupled with special branding at the heel.
Grab your pair now (for men and women) at select Nike retailers for $90.

By SoleInsider
Kyrie Irving and the Cleveland Cavaliers have a lot to celebrate. Not only did they end the city of Cleveland’s title drought, but Kyrie has a new signature sneaker on the way with the Kyrie 3. We’ve already seen brief previews of the silhouette in multiple colorways, but today we have word that the Nike Kyrie 3 Team Red will be ushering in the New Year with a December 31st release.
The shoe features a deep red shade to match the Cavaliers’ wine and gold jerseys throughout while vibrant accents of Total Crimson and Pink Blast create a hypnotizing effect on the Swoosh branding. We’re still waiting on all the tech-specs for the Nike Kyrie 3, but expect a full press release and Nike unveil in the near future. What do you think of the early looks at the Kyrie 3 thus far? Check out the first look at the Nike Kyrie 3 “Team Red” below and stay tuned for more updates via our release dates page.
Kyrie Irving did not have a “What The” colorway for his first signature shoe, the Nike Kyrie 1. But with him winning his first NBA Championship this past Summer as well as an Olympic Gold Medal, Nike knew they had to do right by Kyrie with this time around.
Up above we take a look at the latest images of the Nike Kyrie 2 What The which features a a full Green Glow upper with a colorful graphic inner lining. A new Kyrie logo has then been added on the lateral ankle along with speckling on the midsole.
Not much information is available yet when it comes to the colors or theme of the Kyrie 2 What The, but more details should be unveiled as we near the December 12th release date. What are your early thoughts on the Nike Kyrie 2 What The? Let us know below and stay tuned for updates.
Classics Unboxed: Parras Nike Air Max 1 Amsterdam Paid Homage To The Citys Infamous Underbelly
By SoleInsider
Dutch artist Parra’s Nike Air Max 1 “Amsterdam” collaboration remains one of the most sought after collaborative renditions of Tinker Hatfield’s iconic 1987 visible air runner. Sure, the Parra x Patta x Air Max 1 may be a league above Parra’s individual pair, but this Burgundy, Pink, and Turquoise Blue banger displays Parra’s unique sensibilities and remains to be a true classic.
Initially, this pair was supposed to be inspired by Amsterdam supermarket chain Albert Heijn, until a simple rebrand forced the Dutch self-taught illustrator to ditch that theme for a more vague homage to the city’s infamous nightlife scene and the Red Light District.
Every Thursday we’ll be bringing you new Classics Unboxed heat to bring back some of our favorite collaborations, unearth untold stories about some of the craziest campouts before the days of online launches, and focus on the never before seen details of your holy grails.
Check out our latest installment featuring the Parra’s Nike Air Max 1 “Amsterdam” from 2005 and stay up to date on the latest and greatest right here on Sneaker News.

Usually considered a summer shoe due to its tennis roots and traditionally colorful looks, Nike Sportswear is here to challenge your idea of the Air Tech Challenge II with its new winter-ready makeover. Reinforced with a rubberized mudguard, durable leather, and ripstop nylon, you’ve already previewed the Air Tech Challenge II SE in “Triple Black”, and now it arrives in another seasonally appropriate look in ‘Hasta’ green and Anthracite in a “half and half” color block completed with reflective striped laces. Arriving now at overseas Nike Sportswear retailers, you’ll see these hit the shelves in the US soon.
Tokyo?s new NikeLab MA5 store opened its doors for the first time today. This was Nike’s seventh NikeLab flagship location. As of right now, it’s the newest Nike premium sub-branch that offers the latest product innovations and collaborative collections, but it won’t be for long since a NikeLab in Chicago is also in the works.
Set to be the 8th location since NikeLab launched back in June 2014, it is being reported that the grand opening will actually be tomorrow, Friday, December 2nd. Just like all the other NikeLab stores, it will be home to all things NikeLab. Details are currently kept at a minimum, but we suggest you tune in to Nike Chicago?s Twitter feed for more info on the stores grand opening.
#KoFBestOf2016: Sign Me Up For The Nike Hyperadapt 2.0
By SoleInsider
It’s December and that means it’s time for our annual #KoFBestOf2016 features, where we look back on the year that was in sneakers. Today is the launch of the Nike Hyperadapt 1.0 and while we are excited for the potential of the shoe and how it change the lives of people, we’re not handing over our $700 quite yet.
If there’s one thing technology has taught me through years is that being an early adopter is kind of a foolish endeavor. My closet is filled with gadgets that constantly make me wonder what was I thinking at the time. I have multiple Xbox 360s that gave me the red ring of death, a $350 paperweight called the Nintendo Wii U (until Super Mario Maker showed up) and a “smartphone” that looked cooler than it functioned in the Motorola Q. This also at times extends to sneakers because few things suck more than buying kicks at full price on Day 1 and then watching that number drop precipitously in a few weeks. I have gotten better at not buying impulsively; I did not have an iPhone until the 4S, I just got a MacBook Pro last year, I still don’t have an Apple Watch, and the Playstation VR with my name on it is a big price drop and a home remodeling away from invading my living room. So don’t expect me fork over $700 for a Nike Hyperadapt just yet. At least until they upgrade the hardware…
Ever since it was revealed earlier this year I have sung the praises of the Nike Hyperadapt 1.0 and its potential benefits to not just athletes of the regular kind but those who are disabled and cannot take care of themselves and assistance from time to time. The Nike co-sign gives that movement a legitimacy that it did not have before. To see a billion corporation take this step into creating product that everybody can use is a heartwarming thing that really gave me the feels and hope that other brands will step forward with their own take on the Hyperadapt, pushing and driving Nike to refresh their shoe, getting better each time.
It is amazing how far we have come ever since the famous Matthew Walzer letter that was a catalyst in the creation of the Nike LeBron Soldier 8 Flyease (our pick for 2015 Sneaker Of The Year). While the Hyperadapt was born from the future (aka the Nike Mag), it’s hard not to see the connection between that and Nike’s efforts to helping the disabled. I welcome a future when people are able to wear shoes that use the Hyperadapt’s technology with the same ease that Marty McFly was able to put on the Mags in Back To The Future.
However, when I put on my geek glasses, I see a past and a present that is littered many first editions of new and exciting products pushed out to the market that are basically beta tests and consumers are paying for it. I hesitate to put my money down on the Hyperadapt at the moment because I know something better is coming down the line.
Some people who can afford the $700 for the Hyperadapt are passing because they’re not hype or fire enough for their fit. That’s fine, but that’s not me at all; despite having a dad shoe vibe, I would buy a Hyperadapt right now if I thought the tech was there, or if waiting years just meant diminishing returns when I did finally get it. My concern is with durability, sustainability, and Nike’s willingness to support the Hyperadapt and future iterations once it is out on the market. The reason I say that is because I have no less than four Nike+ wristbands that tells me the swoosh will cut bait and go in a different direction if it’s in their best interest to do so.
While I don’t think Nike will ever abandon building on the Hyperadapt, I don’t think it’s wise to spend the $700 on the first edition when you know that the second and the third and the fourth editions will be cheaper, more efficient and sleeker than the first. See Kobe Bryant and his dogged insistence on making the perfect low-cut basketball shoe. To someone on the outside looking in, you might not see a big aesthetic difference from the Nike Zoom Kobe 4 to the Nike Kobe 8, but anybody who plays basketball knows it was a fine-tuned machine that got better and better with each passing year. I can see the Hyperadapt following in those footsteps when we get the 2.0 and the 3.0 and so on…
“A lot of these technologies are still in their infancy and we need to let them develop.”
It’s 2016 and true to Tinker Hatfield’s promise, we now live in a world where power-lacing shoes are a reality. Now we just need to refine and create to adapt – pun intended – the Hyperadapt to our reality and not Marty McFly’s and we will be on our way. Hopefully that future includes a hoverboard that’s actually hoverboard and not this garbage.
New details have emerged regarding the upcoming LeBron 14. According to ESPN’s own Dave McMenamin, LeBron broke out his upcoming signature silhouette during a Cavalier’s shootaround early today before their matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers on TNT. The all-black pair is said to feature a strap construction, but James wisened up and took them off before reporters could start snapping photos for social media. Per ESPN’s Dave McMenamin:
LeBron James wore an all black pair of the yet-to-be-released Nike LeBron 14 to shootaround Thursday but took them off before talking to the press so reporters couldn’t snap photos of them. They don’t look like the images that leaked in August at all. James let ESPN.com inspect them, as long as we promised not to take a photo, and they are very sharp. One clue to what to expect when they drop in January: strap.

Gold Leaf Highlights This Nike Air Berwuda Premium
By SoleInsider
The classic Nike Air Berwuda had been revived in premium iterations earlier this Spring/Summer, and the latest iteration of the track-inspired silhouette is rendered in a seasonal appropriate finish.
Highlighted by vibrant gold leaf covering the frontal and rear portion of the low-top sneaker, the model’s sleek and modernized profile is comprised of canvas, suede and mesh for superb comfort. Light bone is utilized for its laces, medial panels and midsole unit, while bluecap-colored swooshes solidify its eye-catching palette overall.
All adhered atop a contrasting black rubber waffle outsole for traction and durability, you can purchase this pair at select Nike retailers overseas first.
