North Carolina’s own Black Sheep skateshop has taken the theme of a wolf in sheep’s clothing to an entirely new level with their latest Nike SB Dunk collaboration slated to release this Saturday, January 7th. The Black Sheep x Nike SB Dunk High “Wolf In Sheep’s Clothing” features actual scratch-off Swoosh branding on the side panel to commemorate the fable.

The Black Sheep Nike SB Dunk High utilizes a Summit White upper in a premium texturized suede for a vintage aesthetic meant to reference sheep’s wool. The simple construction sits upon a jet black midsole that’s in direct contrast with the tonal upper while a head-turning accent of red hits the midsole stitching and outsole unit for a dash of something a bit more sinister.

Customized insoles feature a wolf a snarling wolf graphic with red eyes (you can even see the reflection of a Nike Swoosh in the predator’s pupils) and sharp fangs to match the custom set of blood-speckled laces and lace lock set to release only at Black Sheep’s North Carolina location this Saturday.

After giving us a teaser via a YouTube video last week, Black Sheep skate shop out of North Carolina has now officially unveiled their upcoming collaboration with Nike SB.

Utilizing the Nike SB Dunk High, this collab is known as the Wolf In Sheep’s Clothing and takes inspiration from the same idiom. The sneaker comes dressed in a Summit White textured suede upper that is meant to mimic the sheep’s wool. White is also seen on the tongue, inner liner and laces to keep things tonal up top. Down below we see some contrast with a black midsole with red stitching and a red outsole. Additional details of this collaborative SB Dunk include a white ?scratch off? Swoosh that is designed to rub away with skating or wear to reveal a hidden graphic of menacing wolf fangs, and graphic insoles of a snarling wolf with bloody fangs and red eyes.

There will also be a special “Wolf Pack Deluxe Edition” packaging that will only be given out by Black Sheep, including: printed, woven dust bag; assorted custom Nike SB icon stickers with graphic fill; keychain; Fully Laced x Black Sheep silver fang ?dubrae? lace locks and matching ?Blood Bag? Silver Tip Laces 3-Pack.

No matter how many times we continue to see animal print on sneakers, the fact of the matter is that people will never be able to get enough of it.

The latest silhouette to get covered in animal print is the iconic Nike Air Max 90. This women’s colorway of the Air Max 90 features a full leopard-printed upper done in a textured pony hair for that exotic look and feel. Black detailing has then been added on the tongue, laces, eyestay, branding, midsole, and heel. A Sail midsole/outsole wraps things up on this Air Max 90 which does all of it’s talking with the leopard upper.

Over the past few years, we’ve seen a shift from must-have current signature models in the basketball category to a lifestyle focus on retro installments from Nike Sportswear and Jordan Brand, and the crossover comfort of performance running silhouettes. The result of this shift is less-than-stellar numbers for the once-dominant Basketball category. That being said, Nike is making a push to have their latest signature offerings in the Nike Kyrie 3 and Nike LeBron 14 be more readily accessible both on and off the court with price drops, uniquely minimalist designs, and a focus on creative colorways that will attract a younger audience – especially with Kyrie Irving’s third model.

Nike Sportswear has been dangling one of their most iconic Air Max models outside of the holy trinity of the Air Max 1, Air Max 90, and Air Max 95 ever since the middle of November. We’re talking about the Nike Air Max 97 of course, as Italy’s favorite colorway known as the “Silver Bullet” has been landing at select retail locations for quite some time, but is yet to see a widespread release. If the plan was to build hype around the 20th anniversary of the model, then it’s working because photo sets of the Nike Air Max 97 “Silver Bullet” look better by the day.

Today we have some good news for those of you who will be in the Netherlands in the near future, as Solebox Amsterdam has the exclusive on the Nike Air Max 97 Silver Bullet on January 14th. Does this mean other stores will follow suit? We’re still unsure. Solebox did do us the solid of showcasing this Air Max 97 original colorway in full details, as the Metallic Silver upper is accented by sleek side panel waves and Varsity Red branding throughout.

The Nike Air Force 1 Ultra Force Mid will not “officially” release until January 5th, but select Nike retailers already have the new women’s AF1 silhouette in stock. Today we get another look at the Jet Black colorway of the model.

As mentioned in the past, this version of the Air Force 1 is more of modern iteration of the silhouette. It’s constructed out of premium leather on the toe, Nike Swoosh, eyestay and heel, while mesh is placed on the side panels to add some comfort and added flexibility. The most distinct feature of the shoe is the slip-on construction that helps in giving it even more of a lifestyle appeal. This particular colorway has the model come in a Jet Black upper sitting on top of a White Ultra sole unit. This colorway of the Nike W SPRDN comes in a clean Wolf Grey upper with notable features such as the 3M reflective Swoosh on the sides, the two smaller Nike Swoosh hits on the toe and tongue and of course the Ultra sole placed below to give you a lighter and more comfy ride.
