Off-White Redesigned The Nike Blazer

Virgil Abloh’s Off-White is in cahoots with Nike as more updates continue to surface piece by piece. Today’s update arrives as a first look at a Nike Blazer; right off the bat you’ll notice the Off-White branding on the upper done in similar style to the Air Force 1s that appeared during Miami Art Basel last December, but the real story is the uniquely re-tooled upper with an enlarged Swoosh and reworked heel construction. Release information is a complete mystery at this point, so stay tuned for sudden updates.

Kyrie Leads Cavs To Overtime Victory Over Wizards In New Nike Kyrie 3 PE

Kyrie Irving had a difficult go of it last night, but he hit the shots when it mattered, leading a LeBron-less Cavaliers team to victory in overtime against the Wizards in a game with playoff pace and a number of crazy performances. LeBron fouled out at the beginning of extra time after hitting that ridiculous turn-around three to send the game into extra minutes, and Irving sealed the game from there. Kyrie opted for a brand new Nike Kyrie 3 PE with a swirling graphic array throughout. The blue and yellow array had a premium near-Versace esque vibe to it while a lighter shade of royal hit the Kyrie 3‘s lining. We’ll have to wait and see if this option hits retailers or is available on NIKEiD in the future, but in the meantime check out Kyrie’s latest on-court selection below and stay tuned for more of the latest Nike Basketball Release Dates right here on Sneaker News.

COMME des GAR?ONS x NikeLab Dunk Hi Inspired By Invisible Clothing

Clear shoes? This see-through pair of Nike Dunks, designed by Rei Kawakubo of COMME des GARÇONS, is inspired by an old fairy tale by Hans Christian Anderson in which an emperor is tricked into wearing invisible clothing, exposing himself completely. The see-through upper of the shoes interprets the story’s underlying contradiction of invisibility as transparency, which in today’s day and age is a commentary on information overload and over-sharing of the social media age.

The COMME des GARÇONS x NikeLab Dunk Hi will release tomorrow, February 8th, exclusively at COMME des GARÇONS NYC. A limited quantity of COMME des GARÇONS x Nike VaporMax is said to release as well.

Is This Nike Air Max 1 The Start Of The 30th Anniversary Celebration

A lot has changed in the 30 years since the visible air wielding Nike Air Max 1 burst onto the scene in 1987, but the silhouette remains to be one of the most legendary creations from Tinker Hatfield and Nike, and for good reason. The model was inspired by Tinker’s trip to France to visit the Centre Georges Pompidou, a controversial building that showcases the inner-workings of a massive structure from the outside in and houses a public information library and the largest museum of modern art in Europe. It’s designed by Renzo Piano, Richard Rogers, and Gianfranco Franchini and inspired Tinker to show off that visible air bubble and more.

2017 marks the 30th anniversary of the Nike Air Max 1. We already know that two classic colorways in the Nike Air Max 1 “Sport Red” and “Sport Royal” will be arriving in March (read more about that here) but is this Dynamic Berry/Vivid Sulfur option meant to kick off the celebration a bit earlier than expected? Based on the special colorway, the unique ‘1987’ insole, and premium vintage-inspired suede used throughout, we’d have to guess so. The tongue even features a uniquely vibrant gradient of colorways landing on the classic ‘Air Max’ branded Swoosh. What do you think of this pair?

Select shops like Politics are stocking this Nike Air Max 1 Premium today for $130 USD. Check out more detailed photos below and stay tuned for more Air Max 1 30th Anniversary updates right here on Sneaker News.

Kobe Bryants Autographed Nike Shoes And Other Memorabilia Stolen From Lower Merion HS

lower-merion-kobe-theft

Kobe Bryant grew up overseas as his father played basketball internationally in Italy, but when it came time to become a hoops prodigy in his teens, Bryant relocated to Philadelphia’s Lower Merion High School where he would wow crowds en route to skipping college and going straight to the pros. Lower Merion obviously has a display case full of Kobe memorabilia, but it was recently missing a number of items including autographed Nike shoes in Lower Merion PE colorways complete with the Black Mamba’s signature, a replica of his game-worn high school jersey, and more. Kobe has since promised to restore the shrine and then some in the coming days, but Lower Merion police are also reviewing surveillance video and asked anyone with information to call police at 610-649-1000.

“While the items from the case are not of substantial monetary value, they do have a great deal of sentimental importance,” Lower Merion High School administrators said. “They represent a wonderful time of accomplishment, unity and pride for our school community — the 1996 state championship.” Watch the full video courtesy of NBC Philadelphia below and stay tuned for more updates regarding the theft right here on Sneaker News.

Previously offered back in 2015, the Nike Flyknit Racer Cookies & Cream, aka Oreo 2.0, will be restocking once again this weekend, as it’s clearly one of the silhouette’s popular colorways.

Admired for its versatile palette and sleek profile, the silhouette is draped in a monochromatic hue across its intricately knitted upper, with grey, black and white tones essentially intertwined across entire composition. This component also ensures maximum breathability and comfort.

More tonal white accents are applied on the Swoosh branding and tongue, as it’s all adhered atop a full-length sole unit in its respective palette.

Priced at $150, you can purchase this stylish pair at select Nike retailers starting Friday, February 10th.

The Latest Nike Air Max 1 Premium Celebrates Its 30th Anniversary

The newest colorway of the Nike Air Max 1 Premium is suited for the warm months ahead, as it’s treated in a vibrant combination of dynamic berry and vivid sulfur.

Unlike it’s traditional mesh/leather construction, this particular pair dons smooth suede across its entirety instead, which is essentially dipped in the defining pinkish tone. Further pronouncing the profile are vivid sulfur accents gracing the inner lining, swooshes and heel panel, while it’s topped off with a crisp white rubber sole unit and black outsole.

A standout detail is also focalized on its insoles, which bears a custom “1987” graphic — the year the silhouette was first introduced.

Priced at $130, you can purchase this standout variation at select Nike retailers nationwide, as well as online now.
