ACRONYM and NikeLab Releasing Third Collaboration Today

ACRONYM has been on the minds of nearly every sneakerhead for quite some time now. While their lauded Nike Presto collaboration is still going for insane prices in the resale market and helped push Nike Sportswear’s current aesthetic for the Spring 2017 season into a more avante-garde feel to appeal to the premium menswear nature of the sneaker world, that wasn’t always the case. Co-founder Errolson Hugh’s designs have always been polarizing: plenty of people outright hated the debut ACRONYM Lunar Force 1 collaboration until the bold look stood apart from the pack based on just how different the construction was. The same can probably be said about the coming ACRONYM x NikeLab Air Force 1 Downtown, available in three colorways exclusively at NikeLab 21 Mercer tonight at 6PM EST.

The boundary-pushing formula continues on the ACRONYM Nike Air Force 1 Downtown. Hugh’s design features technical devotion in the form of an extra-high extended ankle collar that utilizes a German mil-spec fastener for lockdown support. Additional brass zippers hit the medial side while pleated paneling for a futuristic lifestyle form with contrast stitching throughout. Which colorway is your favorite? Check out more detailed photos below and we’ll keep you updated on a more widespread release in the coming weeks right here on Sneaker News.

Rochambeau x Nike Air Force 1 High Tech Craft

Nike is going all out for NYFW, as they’ve enlisted a who’s who of top designers to reinvent Bruce Kilgore’s iconic basketball silhouette and forever lifestyle staple, the Air Force 1. From VLONE to ACRONYM and back again, today we get a look at yet another luxurious takeover in the form of the Rochambeau x Nike Air Force 1 High Tech Craft.

The New York City menswear label is the first to introduce the new Nike Air Force 1 tooling, as the NikeLab helmed creation was first revealed during their recent runway show. Known officially as the NikeLab AF1 Tech Craft CMFT, the focus here is on the premium materials, as a smooth leather comes in Black for men’s sizes and a simple off-white Sail shade for women’s. Two different Jacquard-like woven toolings appear on the respective toeboxes, as a herringbone aesthetic adorns the white women’s option and a bolstered Kevlar-esque woven material hits the men’s. The ankle straps are noticeably thinner too, while new ventilated perforations land on the side panels. A deconstructed ankle collar hides a more supportive inner-bootie.

According to Highsnobiety, both Rochambeau x Nike Air Force 1 High Tech Craft pairs are slated to release as soon as February 16th at select retailers. Check out more detailed shots below and head over to our always updated Release Dates page for more.

Kyrie Irving Wore This Detailed And Luxe Looking Nike Kyrie 3 PE Last Night

Somehow, someway the Cleveland Cavaliers squeaked out a win over the Washington Wizards last night. The final moments of the game remind me why I’m such a big fan of the game. If you did not happen to catch the game, you missed! You also missed out in seeing Kyrie Irving wearing one of the best Nike Kyrie 3 colorways we’ve seen thus far.

Said to be a player exclusive, the Nike Kyrie 3 PE comes in a Blue, Yellow and White color scheme, but that’s not what makes the shoe stand out. For the first time ever, the model uses a luxe looking print/design on the upper consisting of a swirling graphic that for some reason reminds me of royalty. No word yet if this new graphic will arrive in a future Kyrie 3 release or maybe even be available at NIKEiD. Get a good look at the Nike Kyrie 3 PE and let us know if you’d like to see something like this release in the near future.
