One Of The Best Michael Jordan Pictures Ever Has Been Turned Into A Tattoo

Where do you draw the line in terms of being a fan of someone and being obsessed? Many of us buy shoes that belong to a certain player, that’s completely normal. Even jerseys or posters are the norm. But what level of dedication/fandom would warrant someone to get a tattoo of another person? Would you call that crossing the line?

That’s completely up to you to decide, but some fan recently got a tattoo of Michael Jordan, and it’s epic! Pictured above, the tattoo is of MJ’s free-throw line dunk from the 1988 NBA Slam Dunk Contest that is perhaps his most popular picture of all time. The work was done by tattoo artist Steve Butcher. You can even tell that MJ is wearing this same shoe in the tattoo that he did in the actual picture, the White Cement Air Jordan 3s.

What do you think? Would you get this permanently inked on your skin?

Jordan Brand Brings Back The Air Jordan 2 Low With A Bang

Jordan Brand is bringing back the Air Jordan 2 Low in a big way thanks to this weekend’s all-red colorway. The lifestyle aesthetic of all-red sneakers has been a go-to for quite some time now, and by adding a splash of Gym Red atop one of their lesser-known and revered retro models, the Jumpman has updated the Jordan 2 Low to be a relevant offering worthy of your attention heading into the weekend. If you can remember Justin Timberlake and Jay-Z’s “Legend of the Summer” exclusive from a few years back, then this Air Jodan 2 Low “Gym Red” should bring back memories of those exclusive PEs thanks to the shade and premium scale-like leather upper. All that’s missing is a touch of suede. Check out additional photos below and know that you can always find your pair early on eBay.

Still On Top: Michael Jordan Is The Richest Athlete In The World

Even though His Airness retired for good way back in 2003, Michael Jordan is still as powerful and influential as ever. Oh yeah and he’s also filthy rich!

According to a new report by Forbes, Michael Jordan is the richest athlete in the world. In 2015 Michael Jordan made $110 million and in 2016 he’s expected to make “at least $30 million more than any other athlete in the world, active or retired.” Forbes also reported that Jordan right now is the most marketable person in the U.S. ahead of Oprah Winfrey, Tom Hanks, Bill Gates and every other celebrity you can name.

?Michael Jordan is defined by what he did in basketball and his NBA performance is the benchmark to which other great players are measured,? says Repucom executive Peter Laatz. ?He has stayed relevant and in the news more than a decade after retirement through other things like the Jordan brand, his ownership of the Charlotte Hornets and the viral ?Crying Jordan? meme.?

The majority of his earning comes from Jordan Brand which hit $3 billion in sales last year in the U.S. with a market share of 64% in basketball as well as being the majority owner of the Charlotte Hornets NBA franchise.

Heres An Up-Close Look At The Air Jordan 5 Low Neymar

Later this Summer we’ll be seeing another new colorway of the Air Jordan 5 Low arrive at retailers. After seeing the blue and orange pair inspired by the Cavaliers release this past Monday, this next colorway takes inspiration from a whole different sport.

This colorway of the Air Jordan 5 is inspired by one of the youngest and best soccer players in the world at the moment, Neymar. The Brazilian soccer star is only 24 years old and is already one of the most recognizable faces in the sport. His colorway of the Air Jordan 5 consists of a grey cement upper that features black speckling all throughout. As you can see in the images the entire upper of the shoe is also 3M. In addition to the flashy 3M upper we also see Infrared detailing on the outsole, the inside of the tongue, and the ?10? and ?23? branding on each of the ankles that represent Neymar and Michael Jordan?s numbers respectively. The rest of the shoe including the tongue, laces, inner liner, eyelets, midsole and side panel mesh netting are all done in black. Capping things off is an icy blue translucent outsole.

There is no exact release date yet but this Air Jordan 5 is expected to release in June 2016. Stay updated with this release by bookmarking our Air Jordan 5 Low Neymar launch page for the latest images and news.

Author’s Take

The only pretty cool thing about this colorway is the full 3M upper. Other than that I don?t expect this colorway to sell very well.

Take A Look At This True Blue Sample Colorway Of The Air Jordan 3LAB5

Air Jordan 3LAB5 Sample 1 Air Jordan 3LAB5 Sample 2 Air Jordan 3LAB5 Sample 3 Air Jordan 3LAB5 Sample 4 Air Jordan 3LAB5 Sample 5

Back in 2013 we saw the release of the Air Jordan 3LAB5. Part of the Elements series, this new hybrid sneaker takes components from the Air Jordan 3 (elephant print) and the Air Jordan 5 (the silhouette) and fuses them together. Even though the shoe released in a handful of different colorways it receive mixed reviews from sneakerheads.

Today we show you a sample colorway of the mash-up silhouette that never made it to retailers. This colorway features a True Blue upper with Black elephant print all throughout the upper and Cement Grey on the midsole, inner liner and the Jumpman on the tongue. The final touch of color comes courtesy of Fire Red on the lace lock and the Jumpman on the translucent outsole.

What are your thoughts on this colorway of the Air Jordan 3LAB5? Do you like it better than some of the colorways that did release at retail? Let us know down below and if you’re interested in this pair it’s a size 9 and can be purchased from Index Portland for $3,500.

Author’s Take

There’s such thing as too much blue or maybe just the wrong shade of blue. If this looked more like the royal blue from the Air Jordan 5 Low that released this week they would have been better. Regardless I don’t think I would have bought a pair.

The Jordan Galaxy Rocks The All-White Look

Jordan Galaxy 1 Jordan Galaxy 2 Jordan Galaxy 3 Jordan Galaxy 4 Jordan Galaxy 5 Jordan Galaxy 6 Jordan Galaxy 7 Jordan Galaxy 8 Jordan Galaxy 9 Jordan Galaxy 10

A new Jordan Galaxy has been spotted, and this pair appears to be the complete opposite of the pair we went over yesterday. Opting to go with an all-white upper made out of two different materials, let’s take a look at this readily available colorway from Jordan Brand‘s latest lifestyle offering.

The shoe comes constructed out of an upper made out of white full-grain leather used on the lateral side and white nylon mesh used on the medial side. Adding to the tonal look of the shoe are the rope laces, heel pull tab and the embossed Jumpman logo on the heel. A small gum colored Jumpman is placed on the tag attached to the collar, while the gum bottom outsole give the clean looking shoe a classic look. Available now, pick up your very own pair for $135.

Author’s Take

This one is cool too, but there’s no doubt that I’m liking the black/gum pair better.

Air Jordan 7 Olympic 1 Air Jordan 7 Olympic 2

Another amazing piece of Michael Jordan/Jordan Brand history will be auctioned off in the near future. This time it’s the original Air Jordan 7 Olympics that Michael Jordan actually wore during the games in Barcelona back in 1992.

According to ESPN’s Darren Rovell, the highly coveted pair of shoes will be auctioned off by Goldin Auctions. There has been no date set for when the auction will be taking place but with the Rio Olympics right around the corner it should be happening soon.

How much would you pay for these Michael Jordan game-worn pair of Olympic 7s? Do you remember how dominant that team was? Geesh!

The Jordan Westbrook 0 Gets The Low-Top Look For The Summer

Jordan Westbrook 0 1 Jordan Westbrook 0 2 Jordan Westbrook 0 3 Jordan Westbrook 0 4 Jordan Westbrook 0 5 Jordan Westbrook 0 6

Last year we saw the debut of the Jordan Westbrook 0 which is a brand new lifestyle silhouette that was created by Jordan Brand for NBA superstar and fashionista Russell Westbrook. The shoe released in a handful of different colorways that also featured different materials.

Jordan Brand has now switched things up in 2016 by creating a low-top version of the shoe known as the Jordan Westbrook 0 Low. The first colorway that you can see above has already hit nike.com and features a the classic all-white look for the Summer with gold detailing landing on the lace dubraes that read “Why” and “Not” and the branding on the insoles.

If you’re a fan of this new low-top version of the Jordan Westbrook 0 then you can purchase a pair now at select retailers for $110.

Author’s Take

There was only a couple o colorways of the Westbrook 0 that I considered buying since i didn’t really like it. Now that the shoe has been transformed into a low top it kind of has a Vans look to me. I don’t see myself buying a a certain colorway makes me change my mind.

More Images Of the Upcoming Air Jordan 11 Low Varsity Red

Air Jordan 11 Low Varsity Red 1 Air Jordan 11 Low Varsity Red 2 Air Jordan 11 Low Varsity Red 3 Air Jordan 11 Low Varsity Red 4 Air Jordan 11 Low Varsity Red 5

Back in the beginning of March we let you know what the Air Jordan 11 Low Varsity Red could possibly be getting the retro treatment sometime this year. These new images of the shoe gives us more reason to believe that the shoe could be returning this Summer.

The shoe initially released 15 years ago (2001), so it just about time that Jordan blesses us with a fresh new pair. This classic colorway has the shoe come in a white nylon mesh upper accompanied by the beloved patent leather mudguard coming in the Varsity Red colorway. A white midsole and a translucent outsole is placed under the base, while white laced, a lack “23” on the heel, a red Jumpman on the heel and red branding on the tongue complete the minimal look of the shoe. Slated for a Summer release, is this considered a must cop in your opinion?

via: us11hustla

Author’s Take

It’s cool, but I’d much rather prefer the Air Jordan 11 Low Navy Blue set to release in the near future. The one above may be considered a classic colorway, but I’m just more of a Navy Blue kind of guy.

Jordan Brand Honors Michael Jordans 30,000th Career Point Against Bulls

As Jordan Brand enters into the Retro era of the later, post-Bulls models, expect some inspirations from some jaw-dropping career milestones that were established later in his career. Take this Air Jordan 17+ for example; the silhouette is a familiar “Bulls” composition, but the real story behind this release is that Michael wore the Air Jordan 17 while scoring his 30,000th career point, joining the exclusive ranks that also include Kareem, Malone, and Wilt. The Jordan 17 “30,000 Points” aka “Bulls” will hit retailers on May 29th for $250 USD. Are you a fan of the look? If you’re one of those people that wants to buy them for that reason then here are the latest official images that show the shoes in their original state without any parts of the upper being rubbed off yet. Author?s Take

I knew that $190 price tag was too good to be true. For such a limited shoe with special features to retail for the same price as a general release just didn?t sound right. Now the $225 price tag makes more sense. I was gonna try to buy a pair but now I?m not so sure.
