Let’s tell it like it is, the Air Jordan 5 Low is not doing as well as Jordan Brand anticipated. Most of the colorways that have released end up getting a price cut withing a week of the release date. Even the Air Jordan 5 Low Fire Red that released not too long ago did not do that well considering it was an OG colorway. Up next is the Air Jordan 5 Low Knicks. Does this colorway have what it takes the give the Air Jordan 5 Low some good recognition.
Dubbed the “Knicks” due to similarity in colors between the shoes and the professional NBA team, the shoe comes dressed in a Deep Royal Blue nubuck upper nicely contrasted by the hits of Orange placed on the inside of the tongue, Jumpman on the tongue, shark teeth on the midsole, lace lock and Jumpman on the heel. In addition, a white sole unit and reflective tongue gives the shoe more of a Knicks feel. Lastly, clear netting on the side panels and tongue and the icy translucent outsole complete the look of the shoe. What do you think of the shoe? Priced at $175 and releasing on March 28th (Monday), does this shoe have what it takes to be considered a success?

Author’s Take
The more I see it, the less I dislike it. That doesn’t mean I like the model, it just means that I can tolerate this colorway. All in all I rate it a 6 out of 10.
