The Air Jordan Spike 40 didn’t do as well as Jordan Brand expected when the new Spike Lee silhouette made its debut last year. They even tried switching things up and created a low-top version to appeal to the masses, but even that didn’t work.

Now Spike and the Jumpman will be trying something else as we take a look at this grade school colorway that you see above. Utilizing the low-top version in an all-black upper, a checkerboard print and a polka dot print can be seen covering the upper along with contrasting red and white accents.

Summer 2016 is sure to be a hot one in terms of both the weather and sneaker releases.

With the hottest time of the year growing closer and closer it’s the ideal time to release low-top sneakers. One of those low-top shoes that will be releasing in a couple of different colorwas is the Air Jordan 11. Today we take a closer look at the Navy/Gum colorway that will be dropping Summer Sixteen (shout out to Drake). Covered in Navy on the entire upper including the nylon mesh and the patent leather mudguard, this Summer colorway of the Air Jordan 11 Low is complemented by a White midsole and classic gum outsole.

The more I see this Air Jordan 11 the more I like it. The combination of the Navy upper and the gum outsole is just a clean look that you don’t see very often. They remind me of the Air Jordan 4 Dunk From Above.

If you still weren’t impressed with all the OG Air Jordan re-issues coming your way this year, feast your eyes on the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Banned” aka “Bred”. This devilish black/red colorway was rumored for a Fall release, and this first look at an early pair may seal the deal that the Bred 1s will indeed come back despite hitting stores in December of 2013. Certainly an essential an any Air Jordan rotation, the original high-tops bearing the Jumpman Wings logo will be a must-have if it drops later this year. We’re now just three days away from the release of the first Air Jordan 1 High OG of 2016.

Taking inspiration from Michael Jordan’s appearance on The late Show With David Letterman back in the late 1980’s, this Air Jordan 1 comes dressed in a Light Crimson leather upper with Midnight Navy and University Blue detailing. Midnight Navy lands on the tongue, ankle, inner liner, outsole and the Wings logo by the ankle. Capping things off is University Blue detailing on the Nike Air branding on the tongue and a White midsole.

Essentially a tribute to the Big Apple, the model flaunts a stealthy build with an all-black upper. A portion of the component is detailed with a burnished finish to provide more character, while notable contrasting elements are provided by the striped heel tabs and embroidery on the collar section.

While we all patiently wait for official images of the Air Jordan 11 Space Jam dropping at the end of the year commemorating the 20th anniversary of the movie, today we get our latest look of what is said to be a sample of the upcoming Jordan 11 release. As you can see, there are a few things that we’re sure will please the masses.

Right off the bat, the first thing you notice is that the heel tab comes with an embroidered ’45’ on it instead of the customary ’23’. Another different feature on the shoe is the Concord (purple) colored Jumpman placed on the heel/collar of the shoe. What are your thoughts on these new features on the shoe?
