Jordan Brand 1 Jordan Brand Jordan Brand 2 Jordan Brand 3 Jordan Brand 4 Jordan Brand 5 Jordan Brand 6 Jordan Brand 7 Jordan Brand 8 Jordan Brand 9 Jordan Brand 10

Those of you who don’t follow Jordan Brand on Snapchat missed out on this unveiling, as the label showed off a lineup of exclusive sneakers that its athletes will be wearing throughout the Playoffs.

Featuring the Air Jordan 30, CP3.9, and the Ultra.Fly silhouettes, Oklahoma City Thunder’s Russell Westbrook and the Charlotte Hornets have the best offering so far with new exclusive variations of the XXX.

Look for the rest to be seen on the court during the Playoffs and unfortunately, the collection won’t be available to the public.

Author’s Take

Yeah, the AJ30 is the best out of the group. I like the colorways overall, especially the all-white and Hornets version.

Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Metallic Navy

Release Date: June 4, 2016

Another OG colorway of the Air Jordan 1 is on the way. For the first time ever, the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Metallic Navy gets the retro treatment. The shoe comes dressed in a white leather upper. The all-white sneaker is nicely contrasted by the Metallic Navy hits placed ankle collar and Nike Swoosh. Additional navy is found on the tongue branding, lining, Wings branding and outsole. A set of white laces, a white midsole and a white tongue round out the main features on the shoe. Although it may be fairly simple in color scheme, there is no denying that this is a highly underrated colorway of the Air Jordan 1 High. It’s a classic.

Our First Look At The Jordan Franchise GS

Jordan Brand will introduce a brand new silhouette that will go by the name of the Jordan Franchise. Today we get a first look at the shoe that is not scheduled to drop until Spring of 2017. Said to still be in the sampling stages, the shoe is said to be made in GS sizes only. Our first look at the shoe shows us that it’s constructed out of a leather upper done up in a Anthracite/ Cool Grey color scheme. Notable features on the shoe include the Jordan 8-esque branding on the tongue, and the similar Air Jordan 8 midsole placed on the shoe. Thoughts on the first look of the shoe? Would you like to see this release in adult sizes? let us know down in the comments below.

After the release date for the Air Jordan 10 NYC was pushed back from April 23rd to April 28th last week, today we have learned that the release date has been changed yet again.

It’s being reported by reputable sneaker release date source @Baltsneakershow that the all-black Air Jordan 10 that pays homage to The Big Apple will now be releasing on April 27th, which is a Wednesday. Pretty unusual to see a Jordan retro release in the middle of the week, but I guess we can expect the unexpected these days.

Make sure you check in with our Air Jordan 10 NYC launch page to stay up-to-date with the latest updates on this release. Do you plan on picking up a pair next week?

In addition the Chicago Flag, NYC and Rio variations, the Air Jordan 10 will also be offered in a Charlotte finish, which is essentially part of the standout city pack.

Taking inspiration from the Hornets’ signature team colors, and essentially the NBA team that MJ currently owns, the model flaunts a clean white leather upper, while the defining hues of light purple and teal are prominently displayed on the tongue, laces, eye stays, inner lining and outsole. The outsole also bears a few of MJ’s notable accomplishments as well.

Further detailed with ‘CHA’embroidered on the collar as a respective nod to the city, which replaces the traditional “23” or “45” numbering, the model is finished off with matching pull tabs to allow easier accessibility. Other notable accents include subtle embossed branding on the tongue and the Jumpman logo on the rear.

Retailing for $190, fans can start purchasing the pair at select JB and Nike accounts on June 18th.

Slightly copper accents evidenced on the eyelets pronounces its subdued makeup, while also complementing the overall palette perfectly. The model is finished off with a clean white rubber sole unit that’s equipped with the signature air bubble component in the heel to cap off the simple two-tone color scheme, as well as offering enhanced cushioning.

Other notable details include embossed Jumpman branding on the tongue tab and heel.

With suggested retail price at $400, stay tuned in to our Air Jordan 4 Premium Obsidian launch page for additional information.

Author’s Take

I like this pair a bit more than the recent release with pony hair due to the model?s overall makeup and colorway. I just like the utilization of various leather detailing and its tonal finish. Like everyone else, I?m just against that price tag.

Interview: Matt Forte Talks Call of Duty, Life After The Bears, Favorite Jordan Retro

As long as Matt Forte is able to maintain his 1:1 kill-to-death ratio and maybe get a little bit above it, he’s ok with his Call of Duty skills. It’s not like he has the time to go pro on the CoD circuit or anything like that, considering he is one of the best all-purpose running backs in the NFL and will be starting for a new team this coming season. But it doesn’t mean he takes his gaming for granted, however. He was invited by Activision and Treyarch after all to try out the new Eclipse Map Pack DLC that drops today for the Playstation 4 and compete with Todd Gurley of the St. Louis Los Angeles Rams.

After Forte and Gurley got their Call of Duty fix before everybody else, we spoke with the Pro Bowl running back about a variety of things, including what life is like now that he’s a member of the Giants Jets (that’s an inside joke), his fascination with CoD and of course, his relationship with Nike, a brand he’s worn since his college days.

Randy Shropshire/Getty Images for Activision
Randy Shropshire/Getty Images for Activision

The transition from Chicago to New York:

The transition hasn’t been too hard, but it wasn’t not difficult. When you’ve been with a team for almost a decade, you get attached to it and I lived there anyway, I’ve already had my head wrapped around the next part of my career. A lot of people have changed teams and have been successful especially running backs. You look at Marcus Allen who has changed teams before or Marshall Faulk. It wasn’t because of their level of play, it was just because things didn’t work out between the team and they were able to be successful on a different team. I’m looking forward to being in New York and with the Jets and building off what they achieved last year.

His love for Call of Duty:

I’ve been playing Call of Duty since I got into the league eight years ago. One of my teammates was like, “you need to play online.” And it wasn’t something I was familiar with. I’ve been a fan of first-person shooters, but when I got into Call of Duty, I saw that they were a step above everybody else. And being able to try the new map packs was awesome. It was difficult playing against the professionals we had to go up against, but it was having a lot of fun playing this game.

His relationship with the swoosh, from his college days to the pros:

Brad Rempel/USA TODAY Sports
Brad Rempel/USA TODAY Sports

It’s been great. I’ve been endorsed by Nike and being able to wear their cleats in football (is great). Yeah, I’ve tried other cleats from other brands too but the Nike cleats is very much like Call of Duty, they’re above the rest of the (cleat game) and the shoe game as well. I also appreciate that they give us an allotment to get the shoes that you want on the website. So I’m able to get Jordans whenever they release them and other Nike shoes that I couldn’t get when I was younger.

About the elusive Nike site that only athletes and other top level Nike people have access to:

Yeah, you have your login and passcode that you put in and whatever shoes they have on there, sometimes they might have your size, it’s pages and pages of shoes (that aren’t easy to get) on their all right there.

If he wanted to share that login with me:

(laughs) Yeah, I give people shoes all the time and they would ask me what size I wear and if I can help out, I can.

His sneaker style off the field:

@mforte22
@mforte22

I like retros and how they can come back in different colors, but recently I’ve gotten into Air Max of all kinds. They are very comfortable and they go with pretty much anything you wear. I like the florescent ones, highlighter style, they pop, man.

His favorite retros:

Matt Forte 5

The ones you got on (note: I was wearing the PSNY x Air Jordan 12) and the 9s because they take me back to when I was younger and they have a comfort and style that goes well with my feet.

His all-time favorite pair:

The Space Jam Jordans. I can probably get you a size 13 when they come out (note: I wear size 11s so the struggle continues), just wear double or triple socks (laughs).

A Closer Look At Jordan Spieths Under Armour Drive One

Under Armour Drive One 7 Under Armour Drive One 2 Under Armour Drive One 4 Under Armour Drive One 6 Under Armour Drive One 9 Under Armour Drive One 10 Under Armour Drive One 12 Under Armour Drive One 14 Under Armour Drive One 13

To say that Jordan Spieth had a rough Masters Sunday would be like saying Greg Norman had a shaky Masters Sunday in 1996. Somewhere Under Armour probably had a full marketing blitz ready to go – which included the recent wide availability of Spieth’s UA Drive One – after seeing him rise above the pack for the first three days in Augusta. After dominating the field for the entire week and looking well on his way to picking up his second consecutive green jacket, Spieth’s coronation as the best undisputed best golfer in the world was rudely interrupted by the harsh realities of the sport.

A par 3 so dangerous that Jack Nicklaus actually devised a strategy to avoid it altogether, Spieth would knock two balls into Rae’s Creek on the 12th hole, finishing with a quadruple bogey 7. Despite the setback and the loss of his seemingly insurmountable lead, Spieth showed the trademark mental toughness that put him in contention to possibly win all four majors (he ended up with two) last year and fought his way back up the leaderboard. While the comeback came up short in the end, Spieth’s grace and class shined through the disappointment and that’s something Under Armour can be proud of.

It’s a testament to Spieth and Under Armour that the boo birds didn’t come out in force like they would in basketball when someone who isn’t a Nike athlete fail. But in golf, everybody understands how hard and cruel the sport can be; it’s not just about the shoes and nobody was pointing the finger at Under Armour. And they shouldn’t, because the UA Drive One is pretty awesome in an old school way.

Under Armour Drive One 1

The Drive One features a soft perforated ArmourVent upper with OutDry technology that keeps you cool yet dry. It feels more like a traditional golf shoe, and if you have gotten used to more fabric-based uppers like the ones found on the Nike TW ’15 or the Nike Flyknit Chukka Golf, it’s a new feeling. Well, it’s a new old feeling is probably the more apt way to describe slipping these on. You won’t be mistaking these for kicks to wear off the course after a round that’s for sure.

Under Armour Drive One 11

Speaking of slipping, you shouldn’t have any problem with that thanks to the carbon fiber heel counter. The blue and grey provide a nice design and pairs up quite well with the UA logo. Unlike other shoes that might have your ankle moving around on the follow-through, the counter keeps it in place so you can focus on your shot. It doesn’t feel overwhelmingly tight that it feels constricting like other shoes with a similar feature have done in the past, so it strikes a good balance.

Under Armour Drive One 3As if the soft upper wasn’t enough, the Micro G cushioning, which I have raved about in the best with Under Armour trainers, feels great to walk in. The molded, dual-density sock liner “molds” to your foot and as somebody with a wider size than most, it has enough give where you don’t feel like the shoe is choking you. Kind of important when you’re walking for a few hours on a warm summer day.

Under Armour Drive One 16

Sadly, I was going to do a live unboxing of the shoe so everybody can see it from opening to trying them on for the first time on the range, but unfortunately I decided to go on the windiest day of the year in Southern California so far and as I was getting ready to record, the wind took my box for a trip down the putting green and into the lake. It made for a fun snap though…

Under Armour Drive One 15

After trying on the Drive One, I can see why Jordan has kept on wearing them for over a year now. It continues Under Armour’s great run of performance footwear in all sports and as a golf shoe, it straddles the line being a modern golf shoe without having that sneaker look very well.
