With Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah departing Chicago this year he’s ready to make the Bulls his team (unless D Wade has something to say about that). Jimmy Buckets is starring in a new commercial/short film for Jordan Brand where he recalls all of the obstacles and adversity that he has had to overcome throughout his NBA career such as getting drafted #30 overall in 2011 and not being offered any scholarships coming out of high school.

The clip above is reminiscent of Michael Jordan’s Air Jordan “Failure” commercial where he mentions how many times he has come up short despite his superstar status.

This colorway of the Air Jordan 14 originally debuted in 1999, and finally, after seventeen years, the model will be reintroduced starting this weekend.

Simply staying true to its OG makeup, the Ferrari 550M-inspired basketball silhouette incorporates a smooth/tumbled white leather upper with contrasting black accents solidifying its build on the tongue, midsole unit, laces and inner lining for a clean two-tone palette.

The sneaker is further pronounced with accents of legend blue and green implemented throughout its entirety. Furthermore, seven Jumpman symbols are placed across the model, which is located on the shield, two metal-tip laces, sole, heel, toe box, and insoles to cap off its overall aesthetic.

Colored in the Los Angeles Lakers’s signature tones, white leather is utilized for its upper, while bold purple is implemented on the distinct patent leather overlays that encompasses the midsole unit, throughout the rear and flows along its collar section.

Kori Carter isn’t the only US track & field star wearing Jordan Brand track spikes. High Jump specialist Erik Kynard was also reppin’ for the Jumpman in the Olympic qualifiers.

In the images above Kynard can be seen at the USATF Olympic Trials in Eugene, Oregon yesterday as he was competing to earn a spot to go to Rio. Just like Carter, he’s also wearing an exclusive Jordan Brand track spike that comes dressed in black and white with elephant print. Kynard ended up qualifying for Rio with a jump of 7’6″.

I guess wearing Jordan Brand actually helped Kynard jump higher.

Earlier this year we saw Jordan Brand create the Air Jordan Kobe Pack which features the Air Jordan 3 and Air Jordan 8 in Laker colorways. While we thought that there might have been a possibility that they would release to the masses its now very unlikely as more and more time passes by.

Serving as somewhat of a consolation prize is the Air Jordan 9 that you see above which is expected to release later this year. This Kobe Bryant PE colorway of the Air Jordan 9 features a white leather upper with purple patent leather on the mudguard and heel. Yellow accents have then been added on the branding on the tongue, midsole, and heel. The only difference between this pair and the one that Kobe wore back in 2002 is that this pair has Michael Jordans “23” on the heel instead of Kobe’s number 8.

Joining the Air Jordan 2, Nike Kobe 11, and Air Force 1 Ultra Flyknit Low, we have now found out that the Jordan Reveal will also be part of this year’s Quai 54 Collection.

The Quai 54 colorway of the Jordan Reveal features a black mesh upper with an iridescent snakeskin placed on the heel along with the Quai 54 “Q” logo placed right above it. A gradient black/white midsole and white outsole complete the look on this limited edition Jordan Reveal that will is currently scheduled to release on July 16. The Air Jordan 9 Kobe Bryant PE is one of the latest Jordan models that pay their respects to the recently retired Black Mamba. The Jordan is dressed in the Los Angeles Lakers team colors. The shoe starts off with a White leather upper. Additional White can be seen on the laces, lining outsole and part of the midsole. Adding a bold motif and some contrast to the White sneaker are the Concord patent leather overlays and the Tour Yellow used to take care of the branding hits. Addition pop is given to the shoe by way of the Chrome eyelets. The heel comes with “23” hits on them to round out the look of the shoe.

The Air Jordan 1 Low No Swoosh made its debut back in May of 2016. It did so by releasing 3 tonal colorways of brand new model. We’re now in July and an all-White version is getting ready to release.

The Air Jordan 1 Low No Swoosh White is done in a all-White color scheme (sole unit included). The upper is constructed out of a tumbled leather. The new textured leather and the removal of the Nike Swoosh we’re used to seeing on the side panels end up giving the model more of a premium/lifestyle/luxurious look to it. Add in the tonal waxed laces and you’ve got yourself a very versatile looking shoe. The beloved Nike Air is still placed on the tongue, while the Wings logo is noted on the heel.

Juan Carrillo, News: I’ve been on the fence about this model since the moment I saw it. I was close to picking up the Green colorway, but decided to pass up on them. It’s a nice change on the model. I may just end up picking up a pair later on this year, I doubt it will be in the high maintenance all-White colorway though.
