Comparing Tinker Hatfields Original Olympic Jordan 7 Design With The Alternate

By now you’re familiar with the new “Olympic Alternate” Air Jordan 7 releasing on August 6th and of course you know the original version of the Dream Team sneaker worn by Michael Jordan, but until now you probably haven’t seen a side-by-side comparison of the two. Now you can decide once and for all you like better: the tried and true original, or the new “alternate” edition. The new version is obviously a bit flashier than the original, with the speckled midsole, mismatched blue and red accents on each shoe, and the stars and stripes added to the #9 patch on each heel, but is it actually better than the colorway MJ made historic? You be the judge, and if the new version is a must-have either way, pick up your pair this Saturday at select Jordan Brand retailers.

This is a great twist on the classic Olympic colorway, but personally I wouldn?t buy a pair. I?m not too big on Olympic/patriotic sneakers.

Michael Jordan Would Want Blake Griffin To Star In Space Jam 2

So we already know that Space Jam 2 is in the works and LeBron James will be taking over Michael Jordan’s role as the lead character/actor in the highly anticipated sequel.

But what does Michael Jordan think about LeBron being his successor? He was recently asked who he would have liked to see in the main role for Space Jam 2. His answer? Blake Griffin. Does this possibly have something to do with Blake being part of Jordan Brand??? Check out the video below. Who do you think should have replaced MJ in Space Jam 2?

Jimmy Butler Wears A New Olympic Colorway Of The Air Jordan 31

Jimmy Butler and the USA Men’s Basketball Team played in their final exhibition game against Nigeria last night and once again had their dominance in full display. They are now ready to head to Rio where the Olympic will kicks off this weekend.

The only players on Team USA that will be representing for the Jumpman are Jimmy Butler and Carmelo Anthony. We can expect both stars to be wearing a few different colorways of the all-new Air Jordan 31. Recently Jimmy Butler was spotted wearing a new Olympic colorway of the sneaker that we see pictured above. The shoe features a white to blue gradient effect on the Flyweave upper with red accents. We’ll probably be seeing Jimmy and Melo both wear this pair or at least something every similar in Rio as they try to capture gold for Team USA.

Also don’t forget that the Air Jordan 31 USA will be releasing next week.

I’m not into high-cut silhouettes much, but, these offerings are pretty solid. The build and inner bootie construction looks great, and the colorways are versatile overall.

I never really liked the silhouette much before, but, I think it?s growing on me since I?ve also grown older, haha. This colorway is appealing and classic. It should get the attention it deserves.

Release Details For The Air Jordan 14 Indiglo

The Jordan 14 Indiglo is almost here. Jordan Brand surprised plenty of fans when they announced that they’d be bringing back two of the more peculiar colorways from the Air Jordan 14‘s original 1999 run. We’re speaking of the Oxidized Green and Indiglo colorways, of course.

The new-aged colorways each features simple tumbled leather uppers while bold accents showcased their vibrancy on the Ferrari-inspired Jumpman insignia. The Air Jordan 14 Indiglo tread toward the more ominous side of the two retro selections, with an all black upper camouflaging the aggressive midsole’s ‘teeth’ with a matching suede toecap. That lime green ‘Indiglo’ aesthetic touches the heel and Jordan branding throughout to liven things up.

The Air Jordan 14 Indiglo will arrive at retailers on August 13th for $190 USD. Check out a detailed look below and we’ll keep you updated on more Jordan release dates right here on Sneaker News.

Detailed Look At The Air Jordan 1 Retro High Ultra

The Air Jordan 1 is making an unexpected comeback in the latter half of 2016 as the “Bred” and “Black-toe” are both confirmed for a release (with rumors of the Royal pair swirling around as well). There’s more to be seen from the Air Jordan 1, like this updated “Ultra” build that removes any leather-like materials and replaces them with lighter, more breathable options as the Ultra designation suggests. What makes these updated AJ1 stand out the most is, of course, the inner ankle bootie and should give these a feel similar to the Mercurial Superfly or the Footscape Magista. Your thoughts on the Air Jordan 1 getting this unique transformation? Stay tuned for a release soon and catch a detailed look right ahead.

AIR JORDAN 3 1 AIR JORDAN 3 2 AIR JORDAN 3 3 AIR JORDAN 3 4 AIR JORDAN 3 5 AIR JORDAN 3 6 AIR JORDAN 3 7 AIR JORDAN 3 8

We’re now less than four months away from the release of the Air Jordan 3 OG 88 True Blue. Jordan Brand has decided to bring the Air Jordan 3 out of the vault by re-releasing the OG True Blue colorway with the classic Nike Air branding on the heel.

This Jordan Brand release coincides with their recent trend of bringing back classic Nike Air branded models such as the Metallic Sivler 5s that released a couple of weeks ago. You may already be familiar with this colorway of the Air Jordan 3, but you can bet that many people will be going after a pair because it has been quite some time since we’ve seen it drop with Nike Air on the heel.

Take a look at the latest early images and let us know if you plan on buying a pair when it releases on Black Friday, November 25th. Retail price is expected to be $220. Click and bookmark our official Air Jordan 3 OG 88 True Blue (Black Friday 2016) launch page now for more images, info and release details.

Author’s Take

I would have pulled the trigger on these if they were the White Cement or Black Cement colorways, but I just don?t feel the need to spend $220 on the True Blue colorway.

This Year Will Bring Us The Return Of The Air Jordan 1 Black Toe

AIR JORDAN 1 1 AIR JORDAN 1 2 AIR JORDAN 1 3 AIR JORDAN 1 4 AIR JORDAN 1 5 AIR JORDAN 1 6

It hasn’t been confirmed by Jordan Brand just yet, but it’s pretty much official that the Air Jordan 1 Black Toe will be returning in 2016.

Last released in 2013, this OG colorway of the Air Jordan 1 will now be added to Jordan Brand’s remastered movement and will (hopefully) feature better quality materials than the 2013 release. This Air Jordan 1 utilizes the familiar Chicago Bulls color scheme by placing black on the ankle, eyestay, Swoosh, and toe. White is then seen on the toebox, tongue, side panels, and midsole. Lastly we see red on the heel/ankle, and the outsole. Nike Air branding has been added on the tongue for the OG look.

There is no exact release date yet for the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Black Toe (2016) but it is expected to release some time in November of this year. Stay tuned to Kicks On Fire for updates.

The woven look on the Jordan Eclipse gives it an entirely look and it’s pretty dope. I like the tan pair, it reminds me of the Air Jordan Future.
