Tinker Hatfields Alternate Design For The Air Jordan 7 Olympic Releases Soon

It’s been almost 25 years since NBA players first stepped foot into international competition with the legendary USA Dream Team at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. Instead of releasing the iconic “Olympic” Air Jordan 7, a pair that has seen a retro release three times plus the nearly identical “For The Love Of The Game” colorway in 2010, Jordan brand is going an alternate route this year. The Air Jordan 7 “Olympic Alternate” will hit retail shelves for the first time ever, as the Jumpman is unearthing an unused patriotic Olympic-themed Tinker Hatfield design dating back to 1992. The bold pair features an American flag stamped on the heel with Jordan’s Olympic number 9. A red gradient midsole stands out while Deep Royal Blue and White alternate throughout the upper. Premium accents of metallic gold hit throughout in honor of the Dream Team’s perfect record and Gold Medal accomplishment. Be sure to check out more of the latest Olympic Jordan release below and know that you can grab your pair on August 6th for $190 USD.

Heres Proof That People Are Still Paying Ridiculous Money On The UNDFTD Jordan 4

The Air Jordan 4 Undefeated just sold at Stadium Goods for $18,500 proving that for those with enough cash, nothing will stand in the way of a sneakerhead and one of his or her grails. Created in 2005, the militaristic collaboration was limited to only 72 pairs given out to friends and family and never actually released at retail. So it shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise that this incredibly limited Air Jordan 4 demands some hefty prices on the resale market. Undefeated’s iconic creation was Stadium Good’s most expensive sneaker when the store opened its doors in Manhattan not too long ago, demanding $24,500 for the olive green and orange offering, but some lucky soul walked away with a steal by paying only $18,500 USD. Being one of the handful of people that can boast actually owning the Undefeated x Air Jordan 4: priceless.

Author’s Take

I?m not that really into the silhouette in a low-cut profile aside from the recent varsity red and navy/gum colorways, but, I like this style even more in this finish. I also like how leather is applied on the upper.

The Air Jordan Spizike Wheat Has Surfaced

For the most part, hybrid Jordans are looked down upon from the majority of the sneaker community. Not really sure why, but most of us would rather keep it OG and only mess with retros. Although that is fine and all, there is no denying that the Air Jordan Spizike is seen as one of the most “acceptable” hybrids that Jordan Brand ever created. Meshing features from Jordans such as the 3, 4, 5, 6 and 20, the Spizike manages to utilize all these traits and create a look if its own. Although Jordan Brand has not released many colorway over the last couple of years, it looks like a Wheat colorway could be in the works.

The Wheat colorway has the shoe come in a Tan suede upper accompanied by the Brown placed on the paneling on the vamp. More Tan is noted on the plastic wings, eyelets and pull tab. Elephant print also makes an appearance as it comes in a darker shade of Tan. Rounding out the look of the shoe are the Brown laces, Jumpman on the tongue, the Silver and Black lace lock, the Brown midsole and the specking on the toe. Are you excited to the Spizike make a return? Stay tuned to find out when these get a release date.

Author’s Take

I don’t mess with Spizikes. If I want a Tan suede sneaker for the Fall, there are far better options out there than a Spizike.

Jordan Brand Retooled The Air Jordan 1 With Ankle Collars

The Air Jordan 1 has been a trendsetter since ’85. Now, the roles are reversed and this iconic silhouette is the one adapting current trends. Seen here in a white/black and black/white colorway is the Air Jordan 1 with what appears to be an ankle collar sleeve embedded into the interior of the shoes. Not that Nike didn’t achieve the ankle-collar look decades ago, but this is certainly a first for the original Jordan model. In addition to the sportier ankle collar is an upper built with canvas-like uppers and embroidered Swoosh/Wings logos. Release information is coming soon, so get a first look ahead and we’ll bring you the new when it surfaces.

Ankle Collars Are Used On The Air Jordan 1

air jordan 1 slip on 2 air jordan 1 slip on

Nowadays, seeing sneakers with ankle collars is nothing out of the ordinary, but when that sneaker is the iconic Air Jordan 1, you can bet that people are going to be paying attention. Jordan Brand has decided to utilize the ankle collar construction on the beloved Air Jordan 1, and just like you’d expect, people either love it or hate it.

What you see above are two tonal versions of the Air Jordan 1. Although we are still unsure as to what materials is used for the base construction of the shoe, it kind of looks like a canvas/ripstop material. What we do know is that the Jordan 1 comes equipped with an ankle collar that further heightens the look of the shoe. Thoughts? Hot or flop? Let us know in the comments below.

via: ractvshift

Author’s Take

For the most part, I’m not that big of a fan of the ankle collar look. I can do bootie construction like on the Huaraches and 7s, but ankle collar is not for me. With that being said, the Jordan 1 does NOT look bad with this new feature. I’d just rather see it with a different base construction.

Dont You Wish You Had Anthony Hamiltons Exclusive Air Jordans (Video)

When you’re a “friend of the program”, life tends to throw things your way that us on the outside looking are not usually entitled to. It might be a favor here or there or it could be a perk that makes things just a little bit easier for you. In the case of Jordan Brand, being a friend of their program means being #blessed with exclusive Air Jordans. And I don’t mean the kind that you can buy in stores or even the ones that top athletes like Russell Westbrook or Chris Paul. Nope, I’m talking about one-of-a-kind pairs made just for you, as is the case with singer Anthony Hamilton, who showed off his Chocolate/Gum retros lately to the chagrin and envy of sneakerheads everywhere.

He has shown off the Air Jordan 1, Air Jordan 3 and Air Jordan 5 in a unique colorway that seems better suited for his line of work than on the court. Are these kicks something you would like to release someday?

Another preview of the forthcoming Air Jordan 6 Black Cat continue to surface online, as the model is suggested to bar part of JB?s standout Holiday 2016 collection.

As suggested, the basketball sneaker is simply defined by its stealthy blacked-out leather upper with perforations throughout to enable sufficient ventilation. Treated in all-black like the previous AJ 3 and AJ 4 renditions, this particular pair, however, inherits subtle pops of contrast with white gracing the midsole unit, underlays and Jumpman branding, while 3M reflective detailing throughout further pronounces its makeup.

Retailing for a price tag of $190, the model is suggested to make its debut at select Nike and JB stockists on New Year?s Eve, December 31st, 2016.

A new Air Jordan 6 Pinnacle is suggested to be offered this Holiday 2016 season, as this particular pair is reminiscent of Spike Lee?s Oscars.

Noted as a premium lifestyle iteration of the basketball sneaker, the model is essentially defined by its perforated leather upper which has been dipped with a midas touch for a gleaming finish. Complemented with beige-colored laces, the overall makeup is solidified with pristine white gracing the heel tab, tongue and midsole unit. Celebrate The Upcoming Olympics With The Air jordan 1 Retro High Silver Medal

AIR JORDAN 1 1 AIR JORDAN 1 2 AIR JORDAN 1 3 AIR JORDAN 1 4 AIR JORDAN 1 5 AIR JORDAN 1 6

Jordan Brand has just added two new Olympic releases to their 2016 Collection. Taking the spotlight this time are two new colorways of the Air Jordan 1 Retro High.

The first pair that we see pictured above takes inspiration from the silver medal and features a White leather upper with Gym Red overlays as well as additional Gym Red accents on the tongue, inner liner, and laces. The connection to the silver medal name comes with the Metallic Silver hits that have been placed on the Swoosh and Wings branding on the side panels. A White sole unit wraps things up on this Air Jordan 1 that hits retailers on August 1st for $140. Will you cop or drop?

via: Nike

Author’s Take

If this is indeed an Olympic colorway I think more could have been done/added to the shoe to give it an Olympic feel. It looks like we’ve already seen this colorway or at least something very similar hit retailers.

Completing the duo of Olympic-themed Air Jordan 1s is this gold medal pair. While the silver medal colorway featured a combination of white, red and silver, this pair takes on a different look.

Looking at this Air Jordan 1 we can see that it comes dressed in a full leather upper in a combination of Deep Royal Blue and White. Providing some contrast and living up to the name are hits of Metallic Gold on the Swoosh and Wings Jordan branding. An orange Jumpman on the tongue, white midsole and blue outsole wrap up the Air Jordan 1 Retro High Gold Medal that is scheduled to hit retailers on August 1st for $140.

Author’s Take

I like this pair better than the red Silver Medal colorway, but I still feel that more could have been done to give it that Olympic feel/look.
