SOLEFLY Teases Upcoming Jordan Brand Collaboration With Footage From 1997 World Series
By SoleInsider
Playoff baseball is almost here, and it looks like Miami sneaker shop SoleFly is ready to celebrate with an Air Jordan collab celebrating their local World Series history. Following up their recent Jordan Eclipse collab, today the shop sent out a teaser clip on their Twitter account, featuring some footage from shortly after the Florida Marlins (now the Miami Marlins) won their first MLB championship in 1997. No word yet on what Jordan model will be utilized for what we assume will be a Marlins black and teal colorway, so stay tuned for further details.
Have you had the chance to take a look at the brand new upcoming Jordan Future Boot creation. Inspired by the Jordan Future lifestyle shoe that dropped a while back, Jordan Brand creates a boot version of the lifestyle model. Dropping this Fall/Winter season, here’s our latest look at the boot.
Coming with an upper constructed to weather resistant, the boot comes in Black or Burgundy. The woven-like construction also comes with 3M reflective hits placed on the boot laces. Below you will find an Air Jordan 11 inspired sole unit to help give it some of that lifestyle flare. Does this have potential to be a dope release, or is this a complete flop?

If this is Jordan Brand’s response to the Yeezy Boot, they failed, and this is coming from someone who isn’t a fan of the Yeezy Boost. Come on Jordan Brand, are you for real?

By SoleInsider
The Air Jordan 4 receives the look of luxury once again this weekend with the release of the Premium Obsidian colorway.

A white sole unit wraps things up on this lifestyle inclined pair of 4s.
Look for this Air Jordan 4 at select Jordan Brand retailers on September 17th for $400.

Can you believe that Chris Paul already has 9 signature shoes with Jordan Brand?! Time flies, huh? Chris Paul has been in the NBA since 2005 and this upcoming 2017 season he will be wearing signature shoe #10. Today we get our first unofficial look at the Jordan CP3 X.
The first thing I notice on the shoe’s design is the swirl embossed print placed on the lateral sides of the shoe. Right in front of the said design is a large Jumpman used as the only source of (visible) branding. The design on the overlay is made out of a ribbed synthetic overlay which also extends down to the midsole. The speckling breaks up the tonal look, while Dynamic Flywire cables are also used for added stability. The rest of the shoe appears to be made out of a Jacquard woven construction to give the model a lightweight feel. Stay tuned to find out when the Jordan CP3 X get an official release date.
Official Images Of The Air Jordan 1 High Grove Green
By SoleInsider
Are you in the mood to pick up an Air Jordan 1 High with patent leather upper? We’ve got just the pair for you. Here are the official images of the upcoming Air Jordan 1 High Grove Green.
Constructed out of both patent leather and crackling leather, the shoe boasts a clean Green and Black motif. Jumpman branding appears on the heel and tongue, while Wings branding can be seen on the collar and surprisingly, “ANTIGRAVITY MACHINES” can be spotted inside the tongue. A White midsole and Green outsole complete the look. No word on when these will drop, but expect them to do so in the near future.

The shoe looks flashy and trendy due to the patent leather hits. Not opposed to the construction, but I’d rather see it done in another colorway.
Melo Gives Us An On-Feet Look At The Air Jordan 1 High Shattered Backboard Alternate
By SoleInsider
Although it’s still unclear whether or not the Air Jordan 1 High Shattered Backboard Alternate will be releasing to the public, we do know that actual pairs exist and that Carmelo Anthony has his very own.
Carmelo Anthony recently attended a rag and bone event at New York Fashion Week. He was sitting front row wearing an Orange shirt that matched perfectly with the Air Jordan 1 High Shattered Backboard Alternate that was the talk of discussion when it made its debut online last week. This version of the Jordan 1 also rocks the Shattered Backboard color scheme, the only difference is that it comes with more of a dominant Orange upper when comparing it to the original pair. The leather construction and quality also appears to be very similar to the original pair, but we can’t really confirm that since we’ve yet to see a detailed look at the shoe. If the shoe does end up releasing, there are rumors saying that it could do so as early as next month. Is this a cop or drop? Let us know in the comments below.

Seeing them on-feet really makes me reconsider picking up a pair. I was okay with passing on these (if they release), but I may have to think twice now that I’ve gotten a better look at them.

The Fine Print: How Michael Jordans Autograph Changed Through The Years
By SoleInsider
It’s the most desirable basketball autograph dead or alive. Sure, you could make the argument that the creator of the sport of basketball Dr. James Naismith might be worth a pretty penny (and it is) or legends that are no longer with us like Wilt Chamberlain might command a slight premium (and it does) simply because the supply isn’t there, but make no mistake about it, Michael Jordan is still the signature to have and probably always will be.
One could make the argument that autographs don’t mean as much as they used to in this day and age when getting selfies with a celebrity is probably more meaningful (and provide a “receipt” that yes, you did place your phone up in the air to snap an awkward photo with a famous person), but having that piece of history is still pretty cool especially if you can hang it up on a wall to display in your house. God knows I’m not printing and framing my picture with Zach Randolph where we both give the thumbs up inside the JW Marriott at LA Live. Yes, that actually happened and I think it was Kosta Koufus took the picture…
Anyways, getting that elusive Michael Jordan autograph, whether it’s on a trading card or a sneaker or a basketball, is the holy grail of basketball memorabilia collectors. Even though Jordan has signed his name millions of times at this point, the public still can’t get enough of his “M” followed by a few squiggly lines then a “J” followed by even more squiggly lines.
Nike
With the upcoming release of the Air Jordan XXX1 Fine Print celebrating MJ’s beginnings with Nike and the “Love Of The Game” clause on his contract, here’s a look at how Jordan’s signature has evolved through the years.
Middle School (aka Keep It Simple)
High School
Young MJ apparently wrote this long note to a high school friend named Todd Parker and he was in MJ’s words, “the toughest white boy in the state.” Yeah, MJ was already talking that smack at an early age.
College
You would think that it would be harder to sign on a basketball than on a program, but Jordan’s signature is way more readable on the ball. He also used to write “Best Wishes” on a lot of his older signatures, probably before he got hounded by kids and opportunistic resellers who wanted a piece of him.
Rookie Year
The Famous Signed Nike Air Ship
Signed Check From 1989
Not sure if I could cash a check from MJ that’s worth less than a thousand dollars and even then that would be tough…
The 1990s MJ Signature
When Upper Deck started including signed trading cards of Jordan in their products, it changed the memorabilia game and it changed how MJ signed his stuff BECAUSE THERE WAS SO MANY TO SIGN.

The Modern MJ Signature
From “M” and “J” with squiggly lines to “M” and “J” and a line after each letter…
First Look At The Chris Pauls 10th Jordan Shoe, The Jordan CP3 X
By SoleInsider
Chris Paul has his fingerprints all over a game when he’s running the point guard position. He’s one of the few true and through point guards left in the NBA, but will it be enough to get the Clippers past the second round this season? Jordan Brand has been working with CP3 on his latest and greatest signature model, the big number 10 – a feat that’s only been accomplished by Carmelo Anthony in the Jumpman lineup. Today we get our first look at the Jordan CP3.X, a strange experimental design that’s sure to leave a polarizing effect on many.
For starters, the Jordan CP3 X features a crazy swirling overlay that also serves as the shoe’s midsole unit. The ribbed synthetic overlay is marbled with speckles and Jumpman branding while Dynamic Flywire cables link it to the lacing system. What looks to be a Jacquard woven upper adds a lightweight, breathable ride to the CP3 10. You can start the “Knicks” rumors now too, as dreams of Team Banana Boat in the coming years comprised of Carmelo Anthony, LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Paul is triggered through a royal upper, black overlay, and orange branding accents.
What do you think of Chris Paul’s 10th model with Jordan Brand? Catch more of the Jordan CP3 X after the break and stay tuned for more updates right here on Sneaker News.
God willing, I want all of my future children to attend the University of Oregon. I hope my godson rewrites the record books for the school’s golf program. If I had any say in the matter, my nephews and niece that are killing it in Ateneo (Philippines) right now would be in Eugene playing basketball and tennis/badminton respectively. Not only would they be treated to world class facilities and training programs that are co-signed by Nike, but they would also benefit from a wonderful campus environment that stresses excellence both on the field and in the classroom.
Also, they have these Tinker Hatfield-designed Air Jordan exclusives that are hot fire. I’m a size 11, kids, don’t forget your ninong…
To kick off the new school year, Nike thought it would be a great idea to get everybody drooling by giving us an up close look at the various exclusive kicks that Tinker and his team have whipped up for the various Oregon Ducks sports programs through the years. Starting in 2011 with the Air Jordan 9, the kicks were a special way for the legendary designer to give back to his alma matter and to build excitement for Oregon, Jordan Brand and Nike all at the same time. Made exclusively for Oregon athletes and select “friends and family,” the Oregon Air Jordans are some of the most desirable kicks in the world. Considering how much the occasional pair that has managed to make it to the secondary market will go for, there are old ‘heads out there lowkey hoping their star athlete kids are considering Oregon when recruiting time comes.
My chance to own a pair of these Air Jordans by means of being a student or athlete passed me by because I was in college years before Tinker enacted this program, so my only hope is random chance (I know somebody willing to sell them, Tinker gifts me a pair for being a poor thirsty shmuck, etc.) or my kids somehow making the grade someday to attend Oregon. So until then, here is my wishlist of Oregon Air Jordans ranked so they will always know what I want.
Imagine this guy is your Professor (Nike)
Air Jordan 5 Duckman (2014)
Nike
Without the Oregon branding, they’re a weird pair of Air Jordans that would probably sit in stores because I don’t like the way they look. With the Oregon branding, they’re a weird pair of Air Jordans that will sit in a consignment shop forever because I don’t like the way they look.
Air Jordan 14 (2016)
Nike
Football and basketball seem to get all the fun, but this special pair of the 14s was designed for other programs such as volleyball and tennis. Now I need to know if there’s a “Golf” version of these kicks.
Air Jordan 9 (2011)
Nike
The first Oregon-branded Air Jordan is eerily reminiscent of the Air Jordan 9 cleats that Michael Jordan was wearing when he quit basketball to play baseball for a summer, not to mention this colorway sans the Oregon branding released last year as the Anthracite 9. It takes away some of the exclusivity luster, but it’s still a solid pair of 9s nonetheless. I would just turn everything black and switch the number on the heel from “23” to “45” just because.
Jordan Melo M10 (2014)
Nike
Yes, this is not an Air Jordan proper, but it does have the unique distinction of being the only “Team Jordan” to get the Oregon PE treatment. The Melo M10 also has a special place in Jordan Brand’s history because it was designed by Tinker himself. With the Puddles and special graphics on the tongue complimented by a silver and volt finish, this is a sneaker even a Syracuse grad would be proud of.
Air Jordan 14 (2015)
Nike
Just like the green colorway only better because the grey is such a perfect compliement to the shoe’s accents.
Air Jordan 4 Duckman (2013)
Nike
Duckman > Jumpman. Yeah, I said it…
Air Jordan XX9 (2014)
Nike
This would have been so much better if it had the Duckman instead of Jumpman logos, but we’ll settle for MJ in this case. The Flyweave upper truly stands out here with the outsized Jumpman and the Wings that fade in and out as if they were iridescent. Seeing these in person at Oregon’s facility was a sight to see.
Air Jordan 5 (2014)
Nike
Fake. That’s the word that comes out of people’s mouths when they first see this shoe. Tinker himself could be wearing them and there would still be a jackass out there that sincerely believes that Nike would never produce such a obnoxious and audacious pair of retro Jordans. But it’s a real thing and Tinker knew it would get quite the reaction because of how it stood out from other Oregon PEs before and since.
Air Jordan 4 (2013)
Nike
This touching tribute to Tinker’s friend Doug McClain was a testament to how the man always incorporated pieces of his life onto his creations. It’s an Oregon shoe, no doubt, but it was truly meant for one man who meant the world to Tinker. Nothing more really needs to be said.
Air Jordan 3 Pit Crew (2012)
Nike
The Pit Crew refers to the loud student section found during Oregon home games and just like every other student section in the country, they are loud and proud of their school. Of course, no other school can claim one of the most valuable and coolest Air Jordan ever made as their own, so I think The Pit Crew has the slight advantage over well, everybody else. Even Cal Poly… Go Broncos…
Air Jordan 3 (2012)
Nike
The Air Jordan 3 is as close to perfection as it gets. Yeah, it might not be the most “able” shoe in today’s sneaker landscape especially now we’re so used to things like knitted sneakers and walking on soft pillowy soles, but for my money, the Air Jordan 3 can still get the job done from a performance (maybe slip in said Lunar sole) and aesthetic standpoint.
The best colorway of the Air Jordan 3 is White Cement and all they really did for the Oregon PE was switch out the Jumpmans and added the Oregon logo and Puddle’s feet and change the colors up to a subtle Forest Green. In other words, they didn’t have to do much, but on a personal level, the change from red to green made me love the shoe even more because now the color scheme reminds me of a favorite sneaker of mine, the Nike Air Max Uptempo 97 in the Forest Green colorway.
The Air Jordan 4 Premium Obsidian Arrives In A Few Days
By SoleInsider
This obsidian-colored Air Jordan 4 Premium will be the latest luxurious iteration of the silhouette, and it?s set to make its debut this weekend.
Depicted in a new editorial, the sneaker is comprised of varying quilted leather throughout. Evoking lifestyle appeal, luxe detailing is evident with copper accents implemented on the eyelets, studded detailing on the heel and special jumpman hangtag. A clean white rubber sole unit finishes off the design to cap off the simplistic colorway.
Priced at $400, you can purchase this standout pair at select JB and Nike stockists beginning Saturday, September 17 in adult sizes only.
Click and bookmark our official Air Jordan 4 Premium Obsidian launch page now for more images, info and release details.
I like this pair a bit more than the recent release with pony hair due to the model?s overall makeup and colorway. I just like the utilization of various leather detailing and its tonal finish. Like everyone else, I?m just against that price tag.
The Air Jordan 11-Inspired Winter Boot Appears In More Colorways
By SoleInsider
Jordan Brand fans know how intricate a part of the Jumpman history the Air Jordan 11 serves, as it’s plenty of people’s favorite model given the patent leather style, unique colorways, and awesome storyline behind the model. Even Michael Jordan couldn’t wait to lace up a pair, going against Tinker Hatfield’s wishes and wearing a sample during the 1995 NBA Playoffs. The model has been a blueprint for a number of lifestyle offerings from the Jordan Future, to this upcoming Jordan Future Boot for Fall/Winter 2016.
Two new colorways are arriving at retailer in the near future, with a bolstered weather resistant upper shining in a monochromatic burgundy or black. 3M reflective speckles hit the rope laces for an interesting twist while the Air Jordan 11-inspired midsole blends in with a matching shade of either burgundy or black depending on the colorway. What do you think of the latest Jordan Future Boot? Check out a full look below and stay tuned for a release date in the near future.

The design is completed by MJ?s signature, which can be seen through the translucent outsole.

Look For The Air Jordan Dub Zero To Return In November
By SoleInsider
A couple of days ago we let you know that the Air Jordan Dub Zero would be returning in 2016. Well today we have more developments to report on the Jordan Brand mash-up sneaker that will be returning real soon.
The Air Jordan Dub Zero will be making its way back to retailers this Fall in the colorway that you see above. This Dub Zero features a Black and White upper with Grey and Volt accents that provide a nice pop to the shoe. White dominates the upper of the shoe including the stitched pattern on the overlay, while Black lands on the tongue, inner liner, midsole, and heel. Grey and Volt then work as accents as they’re seen on the branding, midsole, heel tab, speckling, and the outsole.
Look for this Air Jordan Dub Zero to release on November 9th for a retail price of $160.
Jordan Brand has been pushing the ‘Anti-Gravity Machines’ tagline throughout the initial Air Jordan 31 release slate with new ads featuring both Russell Westbrook and Kawhi Leonard. The old mantra rings especially true for this upcoming Air Jordan 1 “Grove Green”pair previewed not too far back, as today we get a look at the inner tongue tag which sports the slogan.
There’s still no release date info for the Air Jordan 1 Grove Green featuring a return to an all patent leather construction, but we’re excited to see more pairs featuring this style. The Grove Green shade features a pre-aged vintage cracked aesthetic underneath the patent leather for a unique twist to the sleek design while accents of black help tie the pair together. Embossed Jumpman branding hits the heels while the high Jordan 1 Grove Green ditches the ‘Nike Air’ branding for a matching Jumpman on the tongue. What do you think of Jordan Brand’s latest Anti-Gravity Machine? Check out more detailed shots below and stay tuned for a release date in the near future.
