Is The OG Black/White Air Jordan 1 Releasing Next Year

Another day, another Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG planned to return to store shelves in the near future. We’ve been treated to the Banned 1s, have the Royal 1s on the horizon, and know that Jordan Brand continues to make the Air Jordan 1 a staple of every seasonal collection from here on out. It’s a shoe that’s as timeless as any retro basketball offering out there, and the last thing we’d want to see is for the Jumpman to put Mike’s original model back in the vault. But is the Air Jordan 1 Black White, a colorway that was released as recently as November 2014, coming back for Spring 2017?

The iconic original Air Jordan 1 Black White colorway’s imminent return was hinted at by Jordan Brand through their latest commercial featuring Kawhi Leonard. Now Twitter user soleheatonfeet has claimed that three rather similar color combinations are all planned for a February 2017 release including what could be the OG Black White colorway. Are you excited about the potential release? Stay tuned for more Jordan release dates right here on Sneaker News.

Patent Leather Returns To The Air Jordan 1 High

We’ve been treated to a number of must-have Air Jordan 1s throughout 2016, but perhaps the most surprising release is the return of the metallic patent leather style found here on this Air Jordan 1 High “Grove Green”. For those of you who don’t remember, the patent leather style of the Air Jordan 1 was a polarizing addition to Mike’s iconic first signature silhouette back in the early aughts with the stand out being the Black/Metallic Gold rendition.

This “Grove Green” pair takes an Oregon-like approach thanks to the combination of a black base and dark Grove Green accents on the Swoosh branding, heel, and toe panels. More interesting is the underlying cracked pattern throughout the green portions for a vintage effect. The traditional ‘Wings’ branding returns on the ankle support while the tongue skips over the classic ‘Nike Air’ for a crisp white Jumpman branding. What do you think of the look? Check out more detailed shots below and grab your pair today from international spots like Size?.

Tinker Hatfield Looks Back On The Entire History Of Air Jordan Oregon PEs

It’s only right that the greatest player in the history of basketball would also have the G.O.A.T. sneaker designer in his camp. So has been the history for Jordan Brand under the tutelage of Tinker Hatfield who designed some of the most iconic Air Jordan signature models. Tinker holds two things near and dear to his heart – Jordan Brand and the University of Oregon. Today Jordan Brand and Tinker look back at the Air Jordan Oregon PE history and talk about some of the most outstanding colorways and the process of combining UO and JB. It all started back in 2011 when Tinker was helping the Ducks think up new ways to outfit their athletes when traveling to their games. What resulted was some of the most sought after exclusive Jordans ever.

“I felt like there was something missing,” Tinker explained about the track suits and travel gear for Oregon athletes. “It wasn?t really that exciting and no one was talking about it. And I felt like there could be this excitement driven by leveraging the history of the Jordan Brand, even though we aren?t talking about a Jordan school, but just the history of the brand and Michael Jordan himself.”

Check out more of these Jordan Oregon PE pairs below and be sure to let us know which exclusive is your favorite by taking your thoughts to the comments section. For more of this story and Tinker’s unique view of the history of the “Oregon” Jordan PE, be sure to head over to Nike SNKRS.

I like this pair a bit more than the recent release with pony hair due to the model?s overall makeup and colorway. I just like the utilization of various leather detailing and its tonal finish. Like everyone else, I?m just against that price tag.

I love the look of the shoe, but I can’t justify paying $400 for them. $250? Yes. $400? No?

Gennady Golovkin Beats Kell Brook Wearing Kazakhstan Jordan Boxing Boots

This past April, boxer Gennady Golovkin signed with Jordan Brand joining Andre Ward and Roy Jones Jr.

Last night Golovkin took on Kell Brook in a fight that ended in the fifth round as Brook’s corner threw in the towel to save him from any more punishment from GGG. Golovkin wore special Jordan Brand shorts and boxing boots with the colors of Kazakhstan. The shoes come in a combination of teal with yellow and features his “GGG” logo as well as the Jumpman logo.

I have a feeling this Air Jordan won’t retail for $190. I like the suede used on the upper and the gold hits as well.

Official Images Of The Air Jordan 5 GS Raptors

Air Jordan 5 1 Air Jordan 5 2 Air Jordan 5 3 Air Jordan 5 4 Air Jordan 5 5 Air Jordan 5 6

I’m not really sure why the Air Jordan 5 GS Raptors isn’t getting much shine. Several reasons I can think on include: They were recently unveiled and they’re already releasing next week. They’re a GS exclusive. People are still trying to get a they’re hands on a pair of Jordan 1 Breds. Whatever the case may be, for those of you sleeping on the pair, wake up (assuming you an fit on a pair of GS)!

Rocking the old school colors of the Toronto Raptors, the shoe comes dressed in a synthetic upper done in Black, while the Purple and Red accents on the branding, lining and sole unit provide the Raptors theme. Although there is no official linkage between the shoe and the team, it looks like the streets have already decided on giving the shoe its rightful nickname. Releasing next Saturday (September 17th) in GS sizes only, how many of you who can fit in a pair are going after one.

People are sleeping on them. They’re pretty cool. If I was a Raptor fan, I’d be all up on them!

Author’s Take

I like the colorway and the use of quilted leather, but that $400 price tag is just too much. I’d consider buying these for half the price. That’ll probably happen to I’ll be OK missing out on these.

Dez Bryan recently posted a picture on social media of some of his latest Air Jordan deliveries and there was one pair that caught everyone’s attention. It was an Air Jordan 1 Low which featured a metallic silver upper.

It turns out that this is actually another Pinnacle Air Jordan 1, but of the low top variety. This Air Jordan 1 Low OG Pinnacle comes dressed in a Metallic Silver upper with White accents on the inner liner and sole unit. Other details include 3M detailing, grey waxed laces, and a Nike Air patch on the tongue. The shoes also come with a new gold 3D Jumpman hangtag, and a special box with a gold foiled paper that reads “Limits, Like Fears, Are Often Just An Illusion – Michael Jordan”

There is no release date at the moment for this Metallic Silver Air Jordan 1 Low OG Pinnacle, but stay tuned to Kicks On Fire for more.

This colorway is too flashy for me. The only things I like are the Jumpman hangtag and the wrapping paper. Haha.

More Colorways Of The Air Jordan Dub Zero Are Coming

JORDAN DUB ZERO 1 JORDAN DUB ZERO 2

Last year we saw the return of the Air Jordan Dub Zero to celebrate Jordan Brand’s 30th anniversary. While most of the colorways quickly went on sale pretty quick, it appears that wasn’t enough discouragement for Jordan Brand to put the silhouette in the vault for good.

Judging from these early looks above, the Air Jordan Dub Zero will once again be receiving the retro treatment in 2016. The two color options include a black/grey pair and a white/grey/green pair. No release date has been announced yet, but stay tuned to Kicks On Fire for more.

What are your thoughts on Jordan Brand releasing more colorways of the Dub Zero? Good or bad idea?

via: US11

Author’s Take

I’m not gonna lie, I don’t think the Dub Zero is that bad. I had a pair back when I was about 18 and I liked it. I would consider maybe buying another pair, but not in either of these colorways.
