The Season Of Giving: David Price Gifts Air Jordans To His Red Sox Teammates

Apparently, Christmas came early for the entire Boston Red Sox team since David Price was in a giving mood and decided to hook up the entire squad with brand new pairs of Air Jordans.

What you see above are two pallets filled with Air Jordans. Price captioned the photo: “I got love for me teammates…tone of Jordan’s for the squad”.

I wonder what’s in the box? Given that Price is a Jordan Brand athlete, I wouldn’t be surprised if he hooked up the team with some fire! Stay tuned.

The Air Jordan 5 Bronze Will Be Releasing Soon

Air Jordan 5 2 Air Jordan 5 3 Air Jordan 5 Air Jordan 5 1

Even more imagery of the forthcoming Air Jordan 5 Bronze is featured, as the sneaker is scheduled to make its official debut this coming weekend.

As suggested, this model simply caps off the celebration of the Summer 2016 Olympics in Rio, with the utilization of third place medals as its defining theme. Bronze is implemented on the tongue and distinctive shark teeth component across its midsole unit, while obsidian comprises its leather and synthetic construction to complement its theme overall. Finally, a white midsole unit and translucent icy blue outsole finishes off the design.

Retailing for $190, you can buy a pair at select JB and Nike retailers starting next Saturday, September 24th.

Full family sizing will be offered as well, with GS, PS and TD sizes listed at $140, $80 and $60 respectively.

I?m a fan of the silhouette in general and I think this colorway is pretty solid. The tones work well together and I guess I?m just biased.

The Air Jordan 5 Bronze Tongue Releases This Saturday

Following the release of the two “Gold Medal” Air Jordans in August, which included the Air Jordan 5 and Air Jordan 11 Low, Jordan Brand is set to drop another release that loosely commemorates the 2016 Summer Olympic games – although given the release date being a month after the Games, its likely that this drop doesn’t have much to do with the Rio festivities. The Air Jordan 5 “Bronze Tongue” is set to release next Saturday; the sneakers present an obsidian blue upper body with a metallic bronze tongue that resembles the bronze medal awarded to Olympic athletes. They also include bronze accents throughout the sneakers while on top of a white midsole and a icy blue outsole. The Air Jordan 5 “Bronze” will be available at your local sneaker store at a price of $190; get a look at the official images here.

Decent colorway of the Air Jordan 5 but I don’t see myself wearing these very much. These are a pass for me.

Jordan Brand debuted their latest trainer, the Jordan Trainer 1, earlier this year and the silhouette has released in a couple of different colorways such as the Neymar and Banned colorways.

While both of those colorways were of the Jordan Trainer 1 Low, we now take a look at a new colorway that has surfaced of the higher cut pair. This Jordan Trainer 1 features a Gym Red Flyweave upper in Gym Red with an elephant print placed all throughout. The shoe also has an extended collar, black Flywire cables for a lockdown fit and a Nike Zoom Air unit in the heel for support and comfort.

Author’s Take

I like the colorway, but I’m not too sure about the extended collar. Since this IS a trainer it probably helps. But these probably can’t be worn casually.

Jordan Brand released a couple of retros today including the Air Jordan 4 Premium Obsidian and the Air Jordan 5 GS Raptors.

Unfortunately for many, this colorway of the Air Jordan 5 only released in grade school sizes (extended sizes though) so if you wear bigger than a size 9.5 you weren’t able to fit into this sneaker. Said to be inspired by the Toronto Raptors’ retro uniforms, this colorway of the Air Jordan 5 utilizes black on the upper with red and purple accents to give it that 90’s look.

Retailing for $140 and available at select retailers now, did you pick up a pair? Let us know in the comments below.

Air Jordan 12 Cleats Are Arriving Too

Air Jordan 12 Air Jordan 12 1

Jordan Brand just introduced the AJ 9 in cleat form, exclusively for its NFL athletes, and now, the Air Jordan 12 is slated to receive the makeover next.

This time intended for the MLB, the silhouette essentially retains its recognizable profile intact, with the upper also tweaked with a hint of modern flair. The black-based component bears a blend of carbon fiber and leather throughout, as it’s all adhered atop options of metal or molded cleats.

An official release date has yet to be announced, but, stay tuned to KicksOnFire for more updates.

Author’s Take

I would definitely purchase this pair if I was playing baseball back in school. I’ll never forget the custom AJ 11’s that Derek Jeter wore during his career. Overall, these are great looking cleats.

The Air Jordan 4 Premium Ginger Debuts Next Month

Air Jordan 4 Air Jordan 4 1 Air Jordan 4 2 Air Jordan 4 3

With the Air Jordan 4 Premium Obsidian available today, the next luxe take of the silhouette will be arriving next month in the form of this wheat/ginger colorway.

Essentially draped in a tonal finish across its upper, this variation is reportedly a tribute to the iconic Timberland work boot. Composed of premium leather with matching laces, the model is further detailed with notable Jumpman branding located on the tongue, heel and outsole. In addition, quilted insoles are applied for a more premium feel, as it all rests atop a complementary gum outsole.

Retailing for $400, you can expect to find this pair at select JB and Nike stockists starting October 29th.

Author’s Take

I think it’s a good looking pair. I’m all for tonal iterations and this colorway just looks great on the silhouette.

Did you ever think that a basketball sneaker like the Air Jordan 4 would take a luxurious approach and be priced at $400? Most of us probably didn’t but the sneaker game is always evolving and basketball sneakers are now worn off the court more than they are on it.

Tomorrow we’ll be seeing the Air Jordan 4 get another luxurious drop to add the the Black Pony Hair and Snakeskin pairs that dropped earlier this year. This time around the iconic sneaker gets outfitted with a quilted leather all throughout the upper in Obsidian with rose gold detailing on the eyelets, and the studs on the heel. A contrasting white sole unit wraps up the look on this Air Jordan 4 that releases tomorrow (September 17th) for a retail price of $400. Will you cop?

Is The Air Jordan 5 Raptors The Best GS Retro Release Of 2016

air jordan 5 1 air jordan 5 2 air jordan 5 3

Basketball fans up North (way up North) are surely excited to get their hands on this colorway of the Air Jordan 5 that hits retailers tomorrow.

Releasing exclusively in extended GS sizes, this Air Jordan 5 unofficially takes inspiration from the Toronto Raptors. Looking at the shoe we see that a Black nubuck covers the majority of the sneaker while hits of purple and red, an homage to the retro Raptors uniforms from the 90’s, can be seen on the midsole, inner liner, and the branding.

If you can fit up to a 9.5Y (same as a men’s 9.5) then you can purchase this pair of Jordan 5s at select retailers tomorrow (September 17th) for $140.

The Countdown For The Air Jordan 4 Premium Obsidian Begins

jordan 4 1 jordan 4 2 jordan 4 3 jordan 4 4

You already seen plenty of pictures of the Air Jordan 4 Premium Obsidian. The general consensus is that the majority of us love the look and feel of the shoe, we’re just whether we want to drop a car note on it. The $400 price tag is what really makes this a tough impulse decision for most of us. Had these been priced at $400, I can assure you that that would sell out instantly. Does the premium quilted leather construction on the upper and inside of the shoe warrant the $400 price tag? The copper hits, embossed branding and leather laces all help give the shoe even more of a luxury look. With less than 24 hours before the shoes release, are you pulling the trigger and picking up a pair? Let us know in the comments below.

Still need more convincing? Make sure you visit our official Air Jordan 4 Premium Obsidian launch page now for more images, info and release details.

Author’s Take

It’s really hard to pass on these because they’re beautiful. With that being said, I pray to the sneaker gods that these get slept on so that I can pick them up further down the line for under $300. For those of you who wanted quality on their Jordan, here they are!

The Air Jordan 12 Will Release As Baseball Cleats

The cleat game is suddenly getting much more competitive now that adidas dropped the Yeezy Cleats yesterday. What’s next – NMD cleats? Ray Allens Championship Run With The Celtics Inspires This Custom Air Jordan 5

Next week we’ll be seeing the release of the Air Jordan 5 Bronze which appears to be a pair dedicated to the Olympics even though they’re long and gone. About a month ago we saw the release of the Air Jordan 5 Gold Medal which featured a vibrant gold tongue with a white leather upper. As soon as this shoe released, customizers were already putting their own twist on the shoe.

Today we take a look at one of the best customs that uses this colorway of the Air Jordan 5 and it comes from Mache Customs. Mache decided to create a pair of 5s inspired by Ray Allen and his time with the Celtics. Dubbed the Air Jordan 5 Ray Allen Alternate Championship PE, Mache added hits of green on this Air Jordan 5 as well as Allen’s signature by the heel.

Do you like this pair better than the original Gold Medal? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

via: mache275

Author’s Take

Not much was done to this custom by Mache, but it’s crazy to see how much a shoe can change with such a small alteration. I’m sure Ray Allen would have loved to wear this pair.
