The Air Jordan 16 Midnight Navy Release Date Has Been Pushed Back

AIR JORDAN 16 1 AIR JORDAN 16 2 AIR JORDAN 16 3 AIR JORDAN 16 4 AIR JORDAN 16 5 AIR JORDAN 16 6

For those of you patiently waiting for the Air Jordan 16 Midnight Navy to drop, you’re going to have to wait a bit long as Jordan Brand just changed the date and pushed back to the end of the year. The new release date is now December 22nd, placing it right in the middle of Jordan Brand’s Holiday 2016 lineup. We’re assuming the date was changed not only to strengthen the holiday releases but perhaps to also counter any releases adidas/Yeezy may have in the works. Priced at $250, is this a release you have your eyes on or do you think it’s too much for an Air Jordan retro release?

Be sure to visit our Air Jordan 16 Midnight Navy hub page for all the latest images and info regarding this upcoming release.

Winter-Ready Air Jordan 1 Mids Are Back

Jordan Brand continues to revamp and remix the Air Jordan 1 these days, whether it be through the Pinnacle Collection, new colorways like the Reverse Shattered Backboard 1s, or this new Air Jordan 1 Mid Winter that ditches the classic ‘Wings’ branding on the ankle collar for an anonymous Black/Dark Grey colorway.

The Air Jordan 1 Mid Winter benefits from black leather panels, a fleece tongue and lining, and a patent leather Swoosh that differentiates this Jordan 1 Mid from past releases. The Jumpman branding is nearly camouflaged on the heel thanks to matching black stitching while pops of Gym Red highlight the tongue. What do you think of this look?

Grab your pair today from select shops like Rock City Kicks for $120 USD.

Air Jordan 12 Flint Grey

Release Date: November, 2016
Price: $190

2016 has definitely been the year of the 12s. If you thought Jordan Brand was done with bringing back classic colorways of Jordan’s 12th signature sneaker, think again . Also coming back this year is the Air Jordan 12 Flint Grey.

The last time we saw this shoe get a release was back in 2004 when they retailed for $135! More than 12 years later, the shoe appears to be making a return. Simple in color scheme, the shoe dons a White leather upper offset by the Flint Grey placed on the mudguard region of the shoe. Even more of the same Grey takes care of the majority of the sole unit. Minimal hits of Red can be spotted on the heel region, most noticeably on the “23” branding. The Metal eyelets and branding on the tongue and heel complete the subtle look of the shoe. No exact release date or confirmation of release for that matter, but stay tuned as more info will soon drop regarding this breaking news.

Air Jordan 13 Low Brave Blue

Release Date: April, 2017
Price: $175

Aside from the Air Jordan 13 Low in the Chutney, Jordan Brand also has plans of bringing back the Air Jordan 13 Low Brave Blue in 2017. Previously known as the Air Jordan 13 Low Navy, Jordan Brand has decided to re-brand the name of the shoe to make it even more attractive. As far as the colorway goes, it still looks very similar to what we saw when it made its initial debut back in 1998. The upper consists of a Carolina Blue sitting on top of a Black base. Although it has yet to be confirmed, ] it appears as if mesh and suede/nubuck make up the construction of the shoe. White accents on the sole and branding round out the look of the shoe. Said to be dropping sometime in April for $175, stay tuned as more info on this upcoming 2017 release is soon to follow.

Juan Carrillo, News: I’ve never been too big on the 13 Lows, but if I had to choose a colorway, it would definitely be the Air Jordan 13 Low Brave Blue. It reminds me of the Air Jordan 13 Flint which I’m a big fan of.

NBA 2K17 Kicks: Reverse Or Not, Shattered Backboard Air Jordans Look Amazing

Welcome to the first edition of NBA 2K17 Kicks, a recurring Kicks On Fire feature where we try to recreate upcoming sneakers as best as we can using the in-game shoe editor. If you’ve been following our work in the past, you’ll know that sometimes we can get them surprisingly close to the real thing and other times we end up with a comedy of errors that maybe should never be talked about again. But that’s the fun of this exercise and of course, it gives me an excuse to fire up the PS4 Xbox One and try their screenshot options.

To celebrate the release of the new game, let’s take a look at our hero and yours, Russell Westbrook. The Oklahoma City Thunder guard is the early season candidate for NBA MVP because everybody expects him to do crazy Russell Westbrook things for 82 games out of pure spite thanks to Kevin Durant leaving OKC to join Stephen Curry and the Golden State “they blew a 3-1 lead in the Finals” Warriors.

As one of the faces of Jordan Brand, Westbrook will be wearing the Air Jordan XXX1 all throughout the season, including a pair we’ve already seen him wear, the Air Jordan XXX1 Shattered Backboard. The Banned XXX1 is available in 2K17 so we used that in the shoe editor and the result was… a better looking shoe. It might just be the poor image quality, but the orange in the upper just doesn’t pop like it should unlike in the Air Jordan 1 Shattered Backboard. We had to fix that in the game and I think the end result was “more orange is better.”

NBA 2K17 - Shattered Backboards NBA 2K17 - Air Jordan XXX1 Shattered Backboard 1 NBA 2K17 - Air Jordan XXX1 Shattered Backboard 6 NBA 2K17 - Air Jordan XXX1 Shattered Backboard 5 NBA 2K17 - Air Jordan XXX1 Shattered Backboard 7 NBA 2K17 - Air Jordan XXX1 Shattered Backboard 4 NBA 2K17 - Air Jordan XXX1 Shattered Backboard 9 NBA 2K17 - Air Jordan XXX1 Shattered Backboard 8 NBA 2K17 - Air Jordan XXX1 Shattered Backboard 2

But we didn’t stop there as we also made the Air Jordan 1 Reverse Shattered Backboard which takes the hit 2015 release and gives it more of a Chicago feel. Westbrook might not wears 1s in the NBA, but he has been known to rock them plenty of times off the court. The kicks were easy enough to replicate using the color palette as the XXX1 Shattered Backboard although we changed the materials to leather where it was necessary to give them a more natural look.

NBA 2K17 - Air Jordan 1 Reverse Shattered Backboard 7 NBA 2K17 - Air Jordan 1 Reverse Shattered Backboard 1 NBA 2K17 - Air Jordan 1 Reverse Shattered Backboard 2 NBA 2K17 - Air Jordan 1 Reverse Shattered Backboard 3 NBA 2K17 - Air Jordan 1 Reverse Shattered Backboard 4 NBA 2K17 - Air Jordan 1 Reverse Shattered Backboard 5 NBA 2K17 - Air Jordan 1 Reverse Shattered Backboard 6

The unforeseen result of all this? Now I want both Shattered Backboards that are dropping next weekend. As if we don’t have a busy enough Jordan holiday season already, ugh…
