Peak Athlete, Dwight Howard Spotted Wearing The Air Jordan 1 Bred

A few weeks ago Jordan Brand dropped one of their biggest releases of the year. You all know what I’m talking about, the Air Jordan 1 High OG in the Bred/Banned/Black-Red/Whatever you want to call it colorway. Everyone and their momma needed to get their hands on a pair, including newly signed PEAK athlete, Dwight Howard.

Atlanta Hawk, Dwight Howard recently signed with Chinese brand PEAK. Not too long ago we also gave you a first look at his first shoe with the brand, the PEAK DH2. So why isn’t he wearing shoes? Better yet, why is he wearing the Air Jordan 1 Bred? Well, apparently his endorsement allows Howard to wear other brands off the court, which he can be seen doing in the images above while enjoying as WNBA game with some of his Atlanta Hawk teammates. We’re assuming PEAK allows some of their players to do this as an incentive for them to sign with them. They’re a fairly new brand when it comes to making a name for themselves in the NBA, so they’re hoping that eventually their sneakers will be making a name for themselves. Only time will tell.

Official Images Of The Air Jordan 12 OVO Emerge

Anticipated for months now, ever since everybody originally thought they’d be dropping this summer, we still don’t know exactly when Drake’s Air Jordan 12 OVO in white will be dropping. But now we at least know that they definitely are dropping, as Nike’s official images of the pristine and premium white leather edition of the Air Jordan 12 have emerged on the web. If you’re familiar with the OVO Air Jordan 10 from last year, then you can expect the 12’s to be basically the same construction, featuring a white leather upper, sting ray textured toe panels, and golden accents. Rumors currently have the Air Jordan 12 OVO dropping in early 2017, but could the official photos showing up mean they’ll be releasing even sooner? Stick with Sneaker News for all updates on the anticipated Air Jordan 12.

Welcome The Extra Fly To The Jordan Basketball Shoe Family

Jordan Brand continues to create interesting entry-level models perfect for performance wear with a little extra in the design department to stand out on-court. The Jordan Extra Fly is the latest non-signature silhouette from the Jumpman, and it seems to be a takedown of another .Fly model known as the Jordan Ultra.Fly. Not only does this creation utilize the same Phylon midsole consisting of forefoot Zoom Air for extra cushion, but the Extra Fly also manages to incorporate Dynamic Flywire and a synthetic overlay mesh to match with fuse along the toe.

Bolstered diamond patterns make for an interesting and dynamic heel construction while vibrant colorways like Infrared will make this budget hoops model look anything but that. What do you think of the Jordan Extra Fly? Check out more detailed shots below and we’ll let you know when this pair is available this October.

Dwight Howard Can Wear Jordans Despite Being With PEAK Chinese Brand

dwight-howard-wears-jordan-brand-peak-deal

Dwight Howard is finally returning home to Atlanta after 12 seasons in the NBA. Once one of the most dominant big men in the game and arguably the face of adidas Hoops during his earlier days in Orlando, Dwight has since battled injuries and moved to Chinese brand PEAK for his main endorsement deal. But apparently, Howard is allowed to wear other brands off the court as he was shown wearing the recently released Air Jordan 1 Banned while hanging out with some of his new Hawks teammates at a WNBA game.

Chinese brands like PEAK are still playing catch up in a league dominated by Nike, Jordan Brand, and adidas. We’ve even seen strange situations like Klay Thompson blacking out the Swooshes on his Nike Hyperdunk 2014 until his Anta signature model was ready. For the most part, this could be Chinese brands accepting their entry-level place in the sneaker game or players just taking advantage of the distance between them and their new footwear partners.

Air Jordan 11 Low Golf Shoes Emerge

The Air Jordan 11 is the latest iconic retro from Jordan Brand to get a brand new treatment for Mike’s other favorite sport – and we’re not talking baseball either – but golf. We’ve seen cleated versions for MJ’s favorite post-retirement sport in the form of the Air Jordan 6 and Air Jordan 9 Low, but now the Jumpman is bringing the patent leather gem to the golf course in both the classic “Concord” and “Cool Grey” colorways in the near future.

The Air Jordan 11 Golf Shoes feature the classic mesh upper and patent leather mudguard while the overall silhouette is a low top construction. A new golf-friendly midsole and outsole unit should make these easy to wear on the course and also when hanging out in the club house. Stay tuned for a release date for these Air Jordan 11 Golf Shoes in the near future right here on Sneaker News and be sure to let us know what you think of their imminent arrival to the golf course in the comments section below.

Full family sizing will be available — adult sizes retail for $190, while GS, PS and TD sizes are listed at $140, $80 and $60 respectively.

Michael Jordan was seen wearing a golf cleat version of the iconic Air Jordan 11 Low Concord earlier this season, and now, it seems that the shoes are already in production to be offered to the public very soon.

To join alongside the previously introduced AJ 9 Golf, the most popular Jordan silhouette will be revised to suit the fairway or green in classic colorways of ?Concord? and ?Cool Grey,? as well as tonal black and white variations. Each embodies the design we’re all familiar with, although, it’s now revamped with a re-tooled flex sole unit.

An official release date has not been revealed yet, but, stay tuned to KicksOnFire for further updates.

I was always wondering when this would happen. Since the introduction of the AJ 9, it only seemed a matter of time before more styles will be reconfigured for the golf course.

Air Jordan 12 1 Air Jordan 12

Following an initial look, the revised Air Jordan 12 in cleat form is showcased in more images, as it’s now arriving at retailers nationwide.

With this particular iteration intended for baseball, the silhouette essentially retains its recognizable profile intact. The upper has been tweaked with a hint of modern flair with the black-based finish bearing a blend of carbon fiber, alongside leather paneling along the forefoot, while metallic silver accents grace the top eyelets to further exude a premium look overall. Finally, the model is adhered atop the defining molded cleats.

Retailing for $95, you can purchase one now at select JB and Nike stockists across the nation.

Author’s Take

I would definitely purchase this pair if I was playing baseball back in school. I?ll never forget the custom AJ 11?s that Derek Jeter wore during his career. Overall, these are great looking cleats.

Author’s Take

I never understood why Jordan Brand created the Jordan 1 Mid. I’m not biased against it, I just prefer the Jordan 1 High better. I’ve owned Mids in the past, but they really have to blow me away. This one does not.
