Air Jordan 3 Air Jordan 3 1 Air Jordan 3 2 Air Jordan 3 3

The iconic Air Jordan 3 has received a lifestyle makeover this holiday 2016, as it’s defined by a new woolen composition.

Intended to suit the colder season, the basketball sneaker incorporates a cohesive textile fiber construction covering its upper, which enables more thermal insulation throughout. Defining characteristics of the Jordan 1 Rare Air include “NIKE AIR” branding on the heels and “AIR JORDAN” branding on the ankle instead of the traditional Wings logo that the Jordan 1 is known for.

Author’s Take

I’m still torn on the Jordan 1 Rare Air. If I were to ever buy a pair I think it would be one that’s not inspired by an OG colorway that way it doesn’t look like it’s trying to be something it’s not.

Just last week we gave you a first look at this upcoming new colorway of the Air Jordan 1 that is expected to arrive at retailers some time in February of 2017.

Now we come back with more images of this pristine Air Jordan 1 which features an all-white leather upper with perforation hits on the heel, Swoosh, and possibly the toe. The laces, tongue, inner liner, Nike Air branding on the tongue, and midsole are also all done in white with the only contrast coming on the outsole which has been colored black.

Your thoughts on this all-white Air Jordan 1? Stay tuned for more info and look for them to hit retailers in early 2017 for $160.

Author’s Take

All-white sneakers don’t do much for me, even if it’s an Air Jordan 1. I’ll be passing on these.

I don’t like the big perforations that take over almost the entire shoe. These are a pass for me.

Our First Look At The Jordan Super.Fly 5 PO

Jordan Super.Fly 5 PO 1

What you see above is the 2017 playoff version of the Jordan Super.Fly 5, better known as the Jordan Super.Fly 5 PO. Each year, Jordan Brand releases a playoff version, and today we get a first look at this year’s version.

The Jordan Super.Fly 5 PO has a look of its own as the upper looks nothing like the Jordan Super.Fly 5. The upper comes equipped with a wing-inspired midfoot strap, some added support on the ankle, some elephant pring on the mudguard and an overall lighter construction. Thoughts on the shoe? Stay tuned to find out when these get a release date.

Author’s Take

I don’t like it. It kind of looks outdated. Something we’d see in the early 2000s.

Blake Griffin May Wear These Jordans For The 2017 Playoffs

Blake Griffin is currently championing the Jordan Super.Fly 5, his Zoom-laden lightweight signature of sorts with the Jumpman. Sure, the Super.Fly imprint isn’t exclusively Blake’s given its flagship status with the brand, but there isn’t a better player to define the silhouette thanks to Blake’s high-flying attacks to the basket making him the perfect spokesperson for the dynamic creation. Today we get a look at the annual playoff rendition (think of it as Jordan Brand’s own Elite takedown when compared to Nike Basketball’s lineup) with the Jordan Super.Fly 5 PO.

The Jordan Super.Fly 5 PO gets an overhauled upper with a new wing-inspired midfoot strap, additional ankle support, an elephant printed mudguard, and a lighter construction to help Blake throughout the playoff push, should the Clippers make it there. What’s your first impression of the Jordan Super.Fly 5 PO? Stay tuned for more detailed shots in the near future right here on Sneaker News, and head over to our always-updated Air Jordan Release Dates page for the latest look at the Jumpman Holiday schedule.

The Jumpman still has plenty of special releases planned before the calendar turns over to 2017, and the Air Jordan 6 “Black Cat” should be one of your top priorities this December thanks to its premium leather construction, added perforations throughout the toebox and side panels, and additional 3M reflective detailing throughout. The Air Jordan 6 Black Cat is scheduled to be the last retro release of the year, as it will be arriving at retailers on December 30th, 2016 for $190 USD.

We’ll continue to see new Air Jordan 6 colorways throughout 2017 with “Alternate ’91” inspirations paying tribute to unreleased samples. Air Jordan 4 Motorsports Releases Next March

The Air Jordan 4 Motorsports is coming back on March 26th, 2017 for $190 USD, but this retro first released in 2006 will return with a slightly different colorway, and without the famous Mars Blackmon logo on the heel panel. The Air Jordan 4 Motorsports edition brings the Jumpman branding back to the heel after brief hiatus saw original ‘Nike Air’ branding land on the iconic “White/Cement” retro colorway this past year.

While Michael Jordan Motorsports may be a defunct extracurricular interest outside of the realm of basketball for MJ, the numerous colorways that released in honor of the biking imprint still have a lasting impact to this day as this Air Jordan 4 shows. A premium white leather base is accented by contrasting black throughout on the midsole, heel, and ‘Wings’ ankle support system while a vibrant Varsity Royal shade livens up the colorway throughout. What do you think of the Air Jordan 4 Motorsports coming back without the Mars Blackmon logo, though? Check out the best look at this coming release below and head over to our Air Jordan Release Dates page for an updated look at the coming Jumpman schedule.

This colorway is pretty appealing in general. I like it more with the wings logo overall, but, this revision isn?t that bad looking.

The Oregon Ducks Receive A Special Air Jordan 12 Wool PE

Air Jordan 12 Air Jordan 12 1

The premium Air Jordan 12 Wool released this past October, and recently, the Oregon Ducks were presented with their very own PE pairs.

Essentially similar to the recent general pair with a woolen and leather construction, this player exclusive edition is punctuated by the application of the Ducks logo embroidered across the tongue. In addition, the sneaker holds more value as it also incorporates Tinker Hatfield’s signature on the inner back pull tab.

Unfortunately, this model will not be offered to the public.

Author’s Take

I’m a fan of the revamped makeover and this iteration is simply more of a collector’s piece, especially with Tinker’s signature. Another cool PE in my opinion.

I’ve never owned a pair. It has a very unique look to them, which is one of the reason why I tended to stay away from them. I may just have to hold them in hand and try them on before I reach a decision.
