With everyone focusing on the Space Jam 11s, the Red Velvet Jordan 11, and the upcoming Air Jordan 11 Suede, it was easy to forget that Jordan Brand is releasing another iconic silhouette this weekend in winterized form: the Air Jordan 3. Jordan Brand has been tinkering with different textiles and materials on some of their most famous retro silhouettes throughout 2016. We saw the Air Jordan 12 get a Wool overhaul this past fall, and now the Air Jordan 3 “Wool” is headed to retailers on December 17th for $200 USD.

The Air Jordan 3 Wool ditches all traces of that iconic elephant print as the upper is transformed thanks to a durable lifestyle wool construction in Dark Grey. The midsole and outsole unit get an off-white Sail treatment in an effort to make this pair more casual in aesthetic. It’s a little hard to see the Jumpman branding on the tongue and heel thanks to matching Dark Grey stitching, but the iconic logo is still there. What do you think of the Jordan 3 Wool?

After a big year for the Air Jordan 1 in 2016 which saw the bringback of a number of OG looks as well as coveted new colorways like the second “Shattered Backboard” colorway, it looks like Jordan Brand doesn’t have plans to stop production of the legendary silhouette any time soon. We already know that the much-loved “Royal” colorway is returning in 2017, and we’ve recently learned that two new all-white and all-black colorways with perforated leather details are arriving early next year.

As we await to see what else Jordan Brand has in store for the Air Jordan 1 High, today we get a closer look at the black-out colorway, that almost goes “Triple Black” except for the white outsole and alternate white laces. One of the Jordan Brand’s most controversial silhouettes will be returning in 2017 with the release of the Jordan Son Of Mars.

Dressed in a colorway inspired by the OG Metallic Silver Air Jordan 5, this Son Of Mars features a full Black leather upper with perforations on the ankle, Metallic Silver is then placed on the Jumpman logos on the tongue and heel, as well as on the shark teeth on the midsole. Last but not least we have an icy blue translucent outsole.

Look for the Jordan Son Of Mark Black Metallic at select Jordan Brand retailers beginning on January 1, 2017 for $160. The shoe will be available in mens and kids sizes.

Shadows, Breds, Royals & Chicagos. Those are without a doubt the most loved OG colorways of the Air Jordan 1. Although I tend agree with that, one OG that should warrant more love and attention is the Air Jordan 1 High OG Storm Blue. The more pictures I see, the more I feel like they need to be a part of my collection. It’s such a simple colorway with a classic color scheme. Introducing the first release of Jordan Brand’s 2017 calendar, the Jordan Son of Mars “Black Cat”. By now you’ve already decided on whether you’re going to go after the premium style of the Air Jordan 6 “Blck Cat”, a new take on the classic 1991 retro featuring additional perforations, reflective 3M touches, and a new smoky black outsole unit perfect for a minimalist way to stunt in throughout 2017. This Jordan Brand hybrid takes a similar approach thanks to touches of Black, Anthracite, and Metallic Silver, but accomplishes everything in a different way thanks to a pattern-heavy splash of elephant print throughout.
