Guess Whos Back The Jordan Son Of Mars!
By SoleInsider
Jordan Brand has plenty of releases many of us are looking forward to in 2017. Today we also got word that the Jordan Son Of Mars is also making a return next year! One of Jordan Brand most recent and craziest hybrids returns to the spotlight after sitting on the sidelines for quite some time. The first color to leak is this brand new Black and Metallic Silver offering. Let’s get a closer look.
For those of you not too familiar with the Jordan Son Of Mars, it’s essentially a mash-up of a handful of Jordans put together to create a brand new design. This particular colorway is done in an all-Black leather upper, including the elephant print, the perforated panels, and even the lasered cross-strap. Black and Metallic Silver take care of the midsole, all while sitting on top of a Blue translucent outsole. Like what you see? Expect these to drop on January 1st for $160.
Not only does Jordan Brand have the nerve of bringing these back after an unsuccessful first run, they have the nerve of charging $160 for them! How?! Haha.
A premium iteration of the iconic Air Jordan 3 will be offered soon to close out 2016.
Straying from its usual leather construction, this variation evokes more lifestyle appeal and suited for the colder season instead. A cohesive textile fiber construction that enables more thermal insulation essentially covers its upper, while a sail white rubber sole unit further complements and caps off the classic, yet simple two-tone design. Notable details include Jumpman embroideries on the heel and tongue.
Priced at $200, you can purchase this pair at select JB and Nike stockists starting Saturday, December 17th.

I?m all for applying new materials on classic JB silhouettes. This pair doesn?t look that bad. Maybe I?m just biased but, the colorway is versatile and it?ll be suitable for the colder weather.
This Air Jordan 11 Low Barons consists as the next iteration of the classic basketball silhouette, which is expected to make its debut next year.
Reminiscent of MJ?s days with the Birmingham Barons in 1994 — a minor league baseball team and Double-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox major-league club — the model dons a subdued color palette of black, metallic silver and white.
The sneaker?s defining element is focalized on its patent leather overlays, rendered in ash grey, while tonal black nubuck comprises the remainder of its upper. Furthermore, details such as the number ?23? and Jumpman logos are embroidered on the heel tab. Finally, a crisp white sole unit rounds out the overall profile.
Retailing for $175, this pair is suggested to debut at select JB and Nike retailers sometime during April 2017.
It does somewhat evoke the 72-10s a bit. I?m generally not a fan of the sneaker in low-cut I?m not really a fan of the silhouette in low-top form, but, it?s always an appealing profile.
For the first time possibly ever, Jordan Brand will be releasing Air Jordan 11s in back to back weeks. Today we saw the highly anticipated release of the Space Jam 11s with next week bringing us the GS exclusive Heiress pair.
Closing out the 2016 Heiress Collection, this Air Jordan 11 features a Night Maroon upper in a combination of premium nubuck leather and velvet. Metallic Gold branding has then been placed on the ?23? on the heel, the Jumpman by the ankle, and the branding on the tongue. A white midsole and translucent maroon outsole wrap things up.
Take a look at the latest detailed images above and look for this Jordan 11 to release in extended GS size (up to 9.5y) on December 17th for $220.

Was thinking about buying these when I first saw pictures of them, but after seeing them more and more I decided I’ll pass. It would be too hard to wear these with the right thing.
The Air Jordan 1 Mid is not as popular as the OG High, or even the Low, but Jordan Brand continues to create and release new colorways.
One of the latest that will be closing out the year is this Sequoia colorway. Covered in a predominantly suede upper, leather overlays are then seen on the ankle and midfoot. Max Orange lands on the Jumpman logo with a white sole unit capping things off.
Look for this Sequoia colorway of the Air Jordan 1 Mid to release at Jordan Brand retailers in the near future.
If you were a fan of the Air Jordan 12 Wool that dropped not too long ago, we’re pretty sure you’re also going to want to pick up a pair of the Air Jordan 3 Wool. Done in a similar construction and color scheme, the new look Jordan 3 is only one week away.
An ideal look for the current season, this version of the Air Jordan 3 opts for a very minimal aesthetic as the entire upper comes in a tonal fashion as it’s seen done in a wool constructed upper. No contrast, no elephant print, just a simple wool design, which also happens to include the branding on the tongue and heel. Matching colored laces and lining complete the simple look of the upper. Below is an off-White sole to complete the major traits of the shoe. This premium version of the Air Jordan 3 will be releasing on December 17th for the retail price of $200. Is this a must-cop?

I’m actually a fan of this new wool construction, but I don’t see myself picking up a pair because I don’t see myself wearing a wool-constructed pair of sneakers very often. Living in Southern California does that to you. I’m not complaining though.
The Air Jordan 11 GS Heiress (Red Velvet) Drops Next Weekend

Essentially a lifestyle-inclined iteration of the iconic basketball sneaker, the model is defined a premium material construction consisting of nubuck, leather and velvet across its entire upper.
The vibrant red hue is complemented with accents of metallic gold via branding to further exude its luxurious makeup. Finally, a crisp white midsole unit and maroon translucent outsole finishes off the overall profile.

Man Crashes Car Into Store To Steal Air Jordan 11 Space Jams
By SoleInsider
The Air Jordan 11 Space Jam is certainly one of the most coveted silhouettes from Jordan Brand’s historic lineage.
With its official release today, one man in Louisville couldn’t wait this past Wednesday, as he decided to smash his car through a retailer — City Gear — and steal a large quantity of the highly-sought after silhouette, in addition to other Air Jordans according to a detective.
Although no injuries were reported, a large hole is gaping on the wall of the building with debris scattered throughout.
You can still purchase the sneaker at retailers now for $220.
Now that the Air Jordan 11 Space Jam release is out the way, the next Air Jordan to drop is the Air Jordan 3 Wool and it happens to release next week! Done in a brand new colorway and construction, here are the shoe’s latest images.
Just like the Air Jordan 12 Wool that dropped not too long ago, this version of the Air Jordan 3 is done using the same type of construction. The all-wool design takes care of the entire upper, including the Jumpman branding on the heel and tongue. The same hue is found on both the laces and lining to help give the shoe a tonal look, kind of like the Cyber Monday 3s. Also like the Cyber Monday 3s, this 3 comes without its signature elephant print on the upper, instead opting for a more sleek and minimal look. Lastly, an off-White sole unit is placed below to create some form of contrast and clean things up a bit. The shoe will release on December 17th for the retail price of $200. Thoughts on the new look on the Air Jordan 3?

The Air Jordan 1 has had an awesome run the past few years with a number of OG colorways returning to store shelves accompanied by some rather surprising new looks (think the “Shattered Backboards” and “Top Three” looks). While we just got word that the Royal 1s and Shadow 1s will be returning in 2017, today we get a look at the latest installment of the alternatively branded Air Jordan 1 “Rare Air”.
This particular Air Jordan 1 Rare Air is known as the “Max Orange” colorway and has a familiar aesthetic if you were a fan of the two “Shattered Backboard” styles that released in the past year. But this pair is all about the unique branding choices Jordan Brand made. Not only is the iconic ‘Wings’ logo ditched for a simple ‘Air Jordan’ callout on the ankle collar, but now the Rare Air pairs will come with ‘Nike Air’ branding on the heel panel. For more colorways featuring this new choice, click here.

To follow up on the recent True Blue offering, the iconic Air Jordan 3 will be offered in a premium iteration to close out 2016.
Straying from its usual leather construction, this variation evokes more lifestyle appeal and functionality for the colder season. The sneaker features a cohesive textile fiber construction that enables more thermal insulation, which essentially covers its upper. Distinguishable elements consists of “Air Jordan” branding in place of the Wings logo, in addition to ?Nike Air? embroidered across its heels.

This colorway is pretty appealing in general. I like it more with the wings logo overall, but, this revision isn’t that bad looking.

The Latest Jordan Westbrook 0.2 Colorway Is Out Of This World
By SoleInsider
Jordan Brand’s Space Jam extravaganza featured the likes of Blake Griffin and Jimmy Butler, but noticeably absent from the whole short film and apparel collection was Russell Westbrook, the current frontrunner for the NBA’s MVP award given the Thunder point guard’s current feat of averaging a triple-double every game. That doesn’t mean that the Jumpman forgot about Russell, as he’s had one of the stranger signature lines to ever be created for a basketball player given that his only model is a lifestyle takedown inspired by the Air Jordan 1, Air Jordan 7, and Air Jordan 10.
Today we get a look at a galaxy-like colorway of the Jordan Westbrook 0.2 inspired by all of the Space Jam 20th Anniversary happenings going on this weekend. The offering features a premium black suede upper with contrasting graphic panels featuring an homage to the cosmos. What do you think of the look? Check out more detailed shots below and know that select youth sizes are available today via Jimmy Jazz.
Buy, Pass, Wait: So Are You Buying The Air Jordan 11 Space Jam Or Not
By SoleInsider
It’s very rare that a weekend of sneaker releases comes down to one pair, but this is a yearly tradition. For as long as some people reading sneaker blogs have been alive, Jordan Brand gets to drop their proper (no low-cuts, now overpriced packs here) annual Air Jordan 11 without much competition from other brands, including Nike. It’s usually the Saturday or two before Christmas, but this year we’re getting the 11 a little bit early as part of Nike’s 12 Soles Collection (you’ll remember last year that Nike moved up their Air Jordan 11 72-10 drop and it may or may not have something to do with adidas releasing new Yeezys at the same time).
Not the actual Space Jams dropping this weekend, but who cares?
With so many pairs alleged to be available and a controversial design decision that have turned off a vocal minority of sneakerheads, there is plenty of talk that this year’s Air Jordan 11 Space Jam might actually be a “failure” in comparison to previous years. Some define failure as not selling out in minutes and see these sitting on store shelves as a sign that the Jordan empire might be cracking, while others are upset about these not being true Space Jams in their eyes. Our guess is that plenty of people will cop these with less shenanigans and foolishness compared to previous years and Jordan Brand will be quite happy with their sales. Especially when you realize that in a few weeks the same people complaining about the “not Space Jams” will be more than happy to give JB 400 bucks for the Suede 11s.
Oh, and there are other sneakers dropping this weekend, along with a Monday drop for the What The Nike Kyrie 2. Enjoy this Space Jam edition of Buy, Pass, Wait.
Juan Martinez, Editor-In-Chief: (GOT ‘EM) I would have bought them even if I had to pay $220 plus tax. It’s the last Jordan retro I needed to get out of my system and while it isn’t the Space Jam per se, I’m not bothered by it. However, if you’re not happy with these, do a hard pass. If you don’t think Jordan Brand isn’t planning to bring back the actual Space Jams at some point in the future, you haven’t been doing this for long.
Renz Ofiaza, News: (BUY) I actually dislike the slightly higher patent leather cut at first, although though this variation is a replica of the OG pair. I’m pretty biased towards this theme and I’m looking forward to see how this version sells.
Juan Carrillo, News: (PASS) All year long I was undecided as to whether or not I wanted to pick up a pair of these. Now that the shoes are finally here, I’ve decided to pass up on them. To be quite honest, I’m not the biggest fan when it comes to 11s. I’ve only owned two pairs and one of them happens to be a low-top. I got the 72-10 last year and being that it’s an all-Black shoe, I really don’t see the purpose of picking this one up since it kind of looks like last year’s release. Yeah, it’s a classic and one of the best Jordans of all-time but to be I don’t feel like I need it in my collection.
Andres Carrillo, News: (GOT ?EM) The Space Jam 11 is a pair of sneakers I’ve always admired from afar because I thought there would never be a real opportunity for me to pick them up (for retail). I’m happy Jordan Brand made lots of pairs this time around and I was able to cop. I’ve seen lots of pictures and the more I see them, the more I like them. I’m sure they look better in person. I can’t wait to get these in-hand on Monday. Hurry up UPS man!
Reebok Question Mid Blue Toe
Reebok
EIC Juan: (BUY) Allen Iverson crossed up MJ in these, so yeah, I want them. I have more Questions than I can count at this point, thanks to my personal obsession with them and Reebok’s seeding structure. I can never have enough and this is just another one to cross off the list.
Renz: (WAIT) One of the nicest colorways on the silhouette, and since it’s a classic, it should please a lot of die-hard fans that remember this pair. I’m not too tempted with the retail price though.
News Juan: (PASS) It’s a cool colorway of the Reebok Question, but I just don’t myself picking up a pair of Questions at retail price. Perhaps if they find their way to the clearance rack I’ll pick up a pair, but I’m not about that retail price life when it comes to this model.
Andres: (WAIT) There’s only a few colorways of the Question Mid that I would ever consider buying, this Blue Toe pair is one of them. That being said, I wouldn’t pay full retail for them. I’d consider buying hem for around $100.
Under Armour Curry 3 TCC
Under Armour
EIC Juan: (PASS) I like the story but the colorway isn’t really doing anything for me. I can’t tell if the upper is a hard red or blood orange or crimson, so I’m going to have pass on it for now because of my poor eyesight.
Renz: (PASS) While the sneaker hasn’t been as popular. This variation is one of its stronger options. The colorway looks really nice on the sneaker, but, I’m still not interested.
News Juan: (PASS) Meh. An all-Red sneaker on a model that I’m not too fond of. I hope one day I find a Curry 3 I like, I just know it won’t be this one.
Andres: (PASS) The Curry 3 does look better in red, but I still don’t like it enough to actually buy a pair. At this point I don’t think I’ll be picking up a pair of Curry 3s at all..
Nike Kyrie 2 What The (Pick One: North America or International)
Nike
EIC Juan: (INTERNATIONAL) It’s either the most daring What The pair or the laziest, I can’t tell at the moment. I appreciate that the details in the shoe are what justify their nickname as it borrows from Kyrie’s championship season and other Kyrie 2 releases, but damn if that Off-White isn’t bound to be a victim of dirt and yellowing over time. I might get the North American pair if it’s available ($120 is practically an impulse buy), but I pine for the Asia-exclusive because I’m a contrarian jerk who likes things he can’t have easily.
Renz: (NORTH AMERICA) Both iterations are really solid but I’m leaning towards the sail-colored pair since it’s a lot cleaner and sleeker-looking in my opinion. I also like the reversed idea of the What The theme. With the Kyrie 3 releasing soon, this is a nice way for the Kyrie 2 to close out.
News Juan: (NEITHER) Not really a big fan of this tonal “What The” rendition, but the latest normal “What The” Nike creations have been lacking so maybe this isn’t such a bad look after all. I just wouldn’t call them “What The” colorways. Either way, both are a pass, but if I HAD to choose one, it’d be the overseas version.
Andres: (NEITHER) I guess I kind of understand what Nike was trying to do with the “What The” theme this time around (mash up of materials instead of colors), but I don’t think it was well executed. The thing that bothers me the most is that both pairs are tonal. Like how am I supposed to see all of the details when the shoe is all one color?? Nice try Nike, but you could have done better, especially since this is Kyrie’s first “What The” sneaker.
