The newly-introduced Nike Zoom Mercurial Flyknit Spiridon receives a traditional palette of black and white for its latest iteration this summer, as the model is also offered in squadron blue and gym red.

The soccer boot/sneaker hybrid silhouette is essentially defined by its sleek and streamlined knitted upper with an extended sock-like collar that provides a comforting fit. All dipped in black, a tonal leather overlay is applied on the heel for additional reinforcement and premium flair as well. Finally, a crisp white Zoom Air sole unit rounds out the overall composition.

Retailing for $200, select Nike retailers overseas have this pair listed for availability on July 18th, so a stateside release should be imminent.

The Nike Chapuka Will Be Making A Return This Year

Nike Chapuka Nike Chapuka 1 Nike Chapuka 2 Nike Chapuka 4

During Rochambeau’s fashion show during New York Fashion Week: Men’s S/S 2017, the classic Nike Chapuka sneaker made its debut once again, which unbeknownst to many, was initially introduced in 2001 but was quickly placed back in the vault.

More than a decade later, the model has been revived with modern tweaks, as the silhouette itself still flaunts contemporary appeal with its cutout style. Comprised of suede with breathable mesh, the fashion-forward sneaker’s unique upper offers maximum breathability and sufficient comfort throughout. All adhered atop a white sole unit, the model is previewed in navy, burnt sienna, sand and black colorways, but more may be expected.

Look for this silhouette to be officially unveiled in the coming weeks ahead. Stay tuned to KicksOnFire for more updates.

Author’s Take

It’s cool to see it come back. Since I’m older, I appreciate these type of styles more. It’s not bad and the colorways are solid.

I?ve always liked this model ever since I saw Scottie rock the pair. I?m a fan of that enlarged branding, plus the design is just appealing in my view. It?s nice to see that this colorway will be offered again.

The Nike Air Safari is one of the OGs in the sneaker game as it made its debut way back in 1987. The shoe gets overlooked a lot but Nike hopes to change that with this new premium release.

Officially known as the NikeLab Air Safari Royal, this new version of the classic runner from the Swoosh features a premium leather and suede upper with safari detailing appearing on the ankle, heel and toe. Two colorways are offered at the moment with one coming in Black and the other in Russet (orange). Both have been completed with Vachetta Tan detailing on the inner liner and midsole as well as white sole units.

Both colorways are available now directly from nike.com for a premium price tag of $220.

Author’s Take

Beautiful materials on the upper and the addition of Vachetta Tan is also very nice. That $220 price tag is crazy though. I’m pretty sure these will get marked down quick.

This Blacked Out Nike Air Zoom Cabos Can Be Yours Now

Nike Air Zoom Cabos 1 Nike Air Zoom Cabos 2 Nike Air Zoom Cabos 3 Nike Air Zoom Cabos 4

A couple of weeks ago we received our first look at new silhouette from Nike that seemed to be collaboration between their Basketball and Sportswear divisions.

Known as the Nike Air Zoom Cabos, this new sneaker is a modified version of Gary Payton’s Nike Zoom Flight The Glove. The shoe features a full mesh upper with bungee cords that extend from one side of shoe to the other. The bungee cords work as a lacing system to provide you with a lock down fit. Pull tabs have been added on the tongue and heel as well as the same sole unit as the Zoom Flight The Glove.

If you’re interested in picking up this Black/White/Reflect Silver colorway you can do so now directly from Nike for $135.

Author’s Take

I like the mesh upper and the use of bungee cords instead of laces. I’m just curious to know how comfortable they are.

The Nike Hyperdunk 2016 Flyknit Gets The Oreo Treatment

In addition to the USA Home and USA Away versions of the Nike Hyperdunk 2016 Flyknit that release next week, we’ll also be seeing something a little more neutral arrive at retailers.

Unofficially dubbed as the Oreo colorway, this Hyperdunk 2016 features a full Flyknit upper done in a combination of white and black. Additional Black hits have been added on the branding on the midsoles as well as the laces. Finishing off the clean look on the pair of Hyperdunk 2016s is a white midsole and icy blue translucent outsole.

You’ll be able to purchase your pair at select Nike retailers on July 18th for $200.

via: Nike

Author’s Take

I was really feeling the USA Away colorway, but now this pair has become my favorite. I know I said I don’t really do white Flyknit sneakers, but there’s so much black on this shoe that the white becomes more of a grey. Real clean colorway. The only thing I don’t like is that $200 price tag.

Kevin Durants Biggest Fans In Asia Create Abstract Nike KD 9s

Kevin Durant’s Asia tour with Nike continued on Day 4 with a special event in Hong Kong, where fans presented KD with their own unique artistic creations on the KD 9 silhouette. While attendees were able to paint up their own colorways on mini KD 9 replica sculptures, the highlight was certainly the full-sized abstract sculpture of the shoe created by Annabelle Ho, a student at Hong Kong’s Polytechnic University Institute of Textiles and Clothing. The bold look for the KD 9 featuring a multi-textured upper with everything from golden rope to studs incorporated into its design was inspired by KD’s birth year, which happened to be the Year of the Dragon. A second KD 9 art piece by Aiden Kwong uses balloons to represent dreams and hopes without boundaries. See a photo recap of the event here.

Nike’s CEO is taking a stand against racial injustice. Mark Parker is one of the most powerful people in America thanks to his standing as chairman, president, and CEO of Nike, and today he used his influence to pen a letter to his employees demanding change.
