Official Images Of The Nike Hyperdunk 2016 Ying Yang
By SoleInsider
Ying Yang describes how opposite or contrary forces are actually complementary, interconnected, and interdependent in the natural world, and how they give rise to each other as they interrelate to one another. Now that I’ve provided the definition of Ying Yang, let’s take a look at the official images of the Nike Hyperdunk 2016 Ying Yang.
This two-pair pack consists of two colorways of the traditional version of the Nike Hyperdunk 2016. The shoe comes in Black and White and White and Black . This “Ying Yang” duo comes in subtle colorways in order for the design to be the center of attention. It may be simple in color scheme, but it manages to work. Focal features on the shoe include the zig-zagging heel pattern, the thick midsole with branding on it, theDynamic Flywire, and the high-top construction. Black and White or White and Black? What’s it going to be? Stay tuned as more info of this release begins to surface.
As we near the thirtieth anniversary of the Tinker-designed Air Max 1 running shoe, Nike has taken the time to explore the evolution of this famous model – the first sneaker with visible Nike Air technology. Six distinct installments of the shoes have shown that the evolution is geared toward lightweight and breathability while keeping the soul of the shoes intact, and thus far, Nike has achieved what they’ve set out to accomplish. Soon enough, the next chapter of Air Max 1 will debut (likely the Ultra SE or the Flyknit that has been leaked out earlier), and of course, 2017 is when things will get interesting given the incredible 30-year milestone. Take a walk through Air Max 1 history below.

Do you plan on picking up a pair next month or will these be a pass for you?
United The Swoosh Rises: Top 10 Team USA Basketball Sneakers (Spoiler: Theyre Almost All Nikes)
By SoleInsider
It’s a tradition as timeless as the Summer Olympics themselves. Every four years, sports media and sneakerheads freak out over the latest Team USA Basketball group photos and how Nike has allegedly arranged the players to line up in ways that make sure rival brands are barely visible or not at all. In the latest controversy, adidas athletes Harrison Barnes and Kyle Lowry and ANTA’s Klay Thompson are all conveniently positioned in the back to make sure their sneakers are not the easiest thing to make out especially on a phone’s tiny screen.
Team USA Basketball
From Coach K covering up Dwight Howard’s adidas’ kicks in 2008 to Kevin Love apparently not having feet in 2012, it really does look like Nike is up to some shenanigans when it comes to these team photos. It makes sense from a certain perspective, of course, since Nike is the official Team USA outfitter and thus doesn’t want competition getting in the way. But despite the accusations of pettiness on the part of the swoosh, they kind of have every right to brag because they quite simply make the best Team USA sneakers. How do we know? Because we just tried to rank them and every time Nike/Jordan would always come out with almost a clean sweep. It’s hard to think of a non-Nike Team USA shoe that could realistically crack our Top 10 because since the original Dream Team, each squad has been dominated by Nike athletes. Maybe if Stephen Curry and James Harden were on Team USA to balance things out it would be a different story in 2016 but for now, the red, white, blue and the swoosh dominate.
Nike LeBron 10 (2012)
Nike
Sadly, LeBron James never wore this particular Gold Medal version of the Nike LeBron 10 in London, opting instead to wear the safer USA colorway throughout the games. Known mostly for being exorbitantly priced because it had Nike+ (remember that thing?) functionality, the LeBron 10 would go on to be one of James’ most successful signature sneakers, as they on James’ feet en route to winning both Olympic Gold and the NBA Championship a year later.
Nike Zoom Flight 96 Olympics (1996)
Nike
In the Summer of 1996, the Shaquille O’Neal-Penny Hardaway feud that tore up the budding Orlando Magic dynasty came to a dramatic conclusion when it was announced during the first day of the Olympics that Shaq had signed a mammoth deal with the Los Angeles Lakers. It overshadowed just about everything Dream Team 3 accomplished in Atlanta that year and it definitely outshadowed my favorite pair of kicks during that run, Penny’s Nike Zoom Flight 96. It would take me twenty years to finally score a pair and it was worth every uh, penny…
Air Jordan 6 Olympics (2000)
Worn by Ray Allen and the immortal Vin Baker, this special colorway of the Air Jordan 6 was a limited edition back in 2000 and it had plenty of sneakerheads scrambling for a pair when they dropped. It took a long time for Jordan Brand to finally bring them back, but the wait was well worth it as a new generation also got to enjoy the kicks and get hundreds of Instagram likes because hypebeasts appreciate their history.
Nike Shox BB4 (2000)
Boing in GIF form…
Reebok Question 2 Olympics (2004)
Nobody conducted himself better [than Iverson], nor behaved like a better representative of this basketball team than he did in the games. Maybe everyone believed Iverson needed to bring back a gold medal to use the Olympics to rehabilitate his image. They were wrong. There was far more virtue in defeat than victory here. America found out much more about Iverson without him winning the gold, than it ever would’ve with him winning it.
That’s a quote from Adrian Wojnarowski, dropping one of his many famous Woj Bombs. The 2004 edition of Team USA was probably the lowest point basketball-wise for our country not because it was the worst team we ever put out there (and it was pretty bad since Richard Jefferson was prominently involved and coach Larry Brown blamed everybody but himself for the debacle) but because we looked so helpless en route to a bronze medal. But what shouldn’t be forgotten was how well Allen Iverson not only played but how he conducted himself as an ambassador for our country, gracious even in defeat. By the same token, we probably don’t want to remember the Reebok Question 2 “Olympics” because it was a far cry from the original classic, but we shouldn’t shove it aside like it never happened because we got to see a different side of Allen Iverson while wearing that shoe. That’s worth something to me and it should be worth something to every basketball fan out there…
(Tie) Nike Air Ballistic Force and Nike Air Flight Lite II (1992)
Still waiting on that retro, Nike Sportswear. Proof positive that any brand can make any shoe a classic with the right color blocking. Something about the red, white and blue with gold accents just screams “awesome” when slapped on a shoe and when David Robinson and John Stockton wore the Ballistic Force and Scottie Pippen and Chris Mullin wore the Flight Lite II in Barcelona, they were things of beauty. Without those colors, they’re just another pair of kicks that time forgets…
Air Jordan 7 Olympics (1992)
If Michael Jordan didn’t realize how much of a big deal he was to the world, he certainly found out while he was in Barcelona as he and his Dream Team teammates were treated like rock stars throughout their entire stay. The Air Jordan 7 Olympics is almost certainly the best colorway of the 7 to ever come out but something about it could have been better. Oh yeah, the silver overlay. But what if it was…

Yeah, that would have taken the top spot or at the very least#2.
Nike Hyperdunk United We Rise (2008)
Nike
Holy hell, how embarrassing and earth-shattering would it have been if a Team USA that was filled with LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, Dwight Howard, Deron Williams, Chris Paul and Jason Kidd were to lose to Spain in the gold medal game? But it was none other than the Black Mamba who bailed them all out with a performance for the ages and basically answered the question of who was the alpha dog of Team USA when s**t hit the fan. Not a bad way to showcase the Hyperdunk all things considered…
Charles Barkley was the best player on the best team ever assembled. Yeah, Jordan could have been the best if he gave half a damn and wasn’t playing golf half the time in Barcelona, but Chuck took the title and ran with it while becoming a global icon in the process. His affable personality and cavalier attitude made him the champion of the people long before The Rock turned that into one of his many catchphrases. Not only that, Barkley parlayed his great run in the Olympics into a memorable 1992-93 NBA season where he won the NBA MVP and nearly won a championship as well. So what stopped him? A Jordan that gave more than half a damn, of course…
This also reminds me of a story that just makes me shrug my shoulders every time I think about it. Back in 2012, Nike Sportswear was dropping the Olympic retro pack including Nike Air Force 180 on the same weekend Jordan was dropping legendary Air Jordan 6 “Olympics” as well. I made a trip to the local House of Hoops right before it was about to open because I feared that I would miss out on a pair of 180s. When I got there, the line for the store stretched out quite a bit but nearly 90% of them were gunning for the Jordan 6. Knowing I wouldn’t have to line up to get my Barkleys, I just sat it out and watched the people file in get their Jordans. At this point, a dude would come up to me and ask if I was waiting for the Olympics 6s, but I said that I was waiting for the Chucks. He gave me a Kobe-like death stare and walked away, thinking that I was crazy for not lining up for a pair of Jordans. In 2016, I don’t know if that same guy makes the same statement since he’s probably ditched his Jordans for Ultra Boosts. Meanwhile, I’m just dwiddling my thumbs waiting for the 2016 Air Force 180 retro to drop down to a hundred bucks for less because everybody is sleeping on them while the Uptempo gets all the hype…

The Nike Presto Flyknit Releases In Classic Black And Volt
By SoleInsider
When it comes to Nike running shoes, there aren’t many more color combinations that have become as classic throughout the years as black and Volt. The high contrast mix of the darkest shade possible with one of the brightest and most vibrant shades in Nike’s color arsenal just always seems to work, no matter what the silhouette. Here to illustrate this fact is this upcoming edition of the Flyknit constructed Presto, featuring its woven textile upper in Volt interlaced with black, while more black is found in use on the translucent TPU support cage, laces, and outsole. Those that can’t resist these latest black and Volt sneakers can grab your pair of the Air Presto Flyknit Ultra at select Nike Sportswear retailers soon.
Kevin Durant‘s initial run with the Nike KD 9 was back during the Western Conference Finals when the Oklahoma City Thunder were up 3-1 on the Golden State Warriors. How times have changed. The Nike KD 9 “Pre-Heat” is that rare KD offering that marks the last games of KD’s Oklahoma City tenure and while Thunder fans are still getting over the loss, others can remember his time with Russell Westbrook fondly and look forward to next season. The subtle style of this debut KD 9 colorway features a simple and understated Wolf Grey Flyknit upper paired with touches of Bright Crimson on the Zoom-laden midsole unit. It initially dropped on June 20th but now retailers like Foot Locker are restocking the offering in limited quantities today. Check out a better view below and head over to Foot Locker’s Launch Locator to find a store near you.
With the Olympic colorway being its most notable iteration so far this season, the Nike Air Max BW is previewed in another variation, which is suggested to be part of the brand’s Fall 2016 lineup.
Dressed in a clean and bold two-tone combination, white it utilized for the sneaker’s mesh and leather upper, while it’s perfectly offset against a navy-colored rubber sole unit that’s equipped with the signature air bubble unit in the heel for enhanced cushioning. Additionally, subtle accents of brown adorn the heel via branding.
A release date for this pair has not been announced yet, but, stay tuned to KicksOnFire for further updates.
Following an alternate neon iteration, the Nike Air Max 95 is presented in another new colorway, which is part of the brand’s Fall 2016 collection.
Styled in a layered colorway, white canvas is dominant across the upper, while complementing accents of brown leather encompasses throughout its mudguard and toe cap. Solidifying the palette is a navy-colored sole unit that incorporates the signature air bubble units for enhanced cushioning. Finishing touches include matching white laces and 3M reflective details located on the tongue and heel to increase its visibility at night.
Look for this pair to be available at Nike retailers nationwide in the coming weeks ahead. Stay tuned for updates.
A new colorway of the Nike Kobe 11 has just surfaced that has some similarities to the Parade colorways of the Kyrie 2 and LeBron 13 Low.
This Kobe 11 comes equipped with an engineered mesh upper that’s done in a variety of colors. The inner liner also has the same print/graphic while the Swoosh, midsole and fuse mudguard have been done in black. It’s still unclear what the theme/inspiration is behind this colorway of the Kobe 11 but there’s a possibility that it could be some type of Olympic/Brazil backstory to it. No release date has been announced yet but stay tuned to Kicks On Fire for more.
The NikeSF Twitter account posted the tweet that you see above which pictures two upcoming Nike Foamposite colorways, the Nike KD 9, and the Air Jordan 7 Tinker Alternate. The caption reads “Something big is coming to the City on 7.23. Nike+ SNKRS presents GOLDEN AIR. #SNKRS” It’s very likely that all of these sneakers will be releasing exclusively in San Francisco this weekend, though nothing has been confirmed by Nike yet. By SoleInsider
If you happen to be a fan of OG Air Jordans then this weekend you’ll have the opportunity to pick on one of the most popular and classic Air Jordans ever.
After a long hiatus, the Air Jordan 5 Black/Metallic Silver will be making a triumphant return this weekend with the original Nike Air branding on the heel. Looking at the OG colorway of the a Air Jordan 5 we can see that it comes dressed in a Black nubuck upper with Fire Red detailing on the branding on the tongue and the lace locks. Metallic Silver then appears on the shark teeth on the midsole as well as on the 3M tongue. Other details include the clear mesh netting on the side panels, Nike Air on the heels, and an icy blue translucent outsole.
You’ll have a chance to pick up a pair on July 23rd for $220. Is this a must cop or an easy pass for you? Let us know down below and make sure to click and bookmark our official Air Jordan 5 OG 90 Black/Metallic Silver 2016 launch page now for more images, info and release details.
The quality on this Air Jordan 5 doesn?t even look all that great so I don?t think that $220 price tag is justifiable. I?ve always wanted this colorway of the Air Jordan 5, but I?ll have to pass on these.
Ken Griffey Jr. will officially be inducted into the baseball Hall of Fame this upcoming weekend and Nike will be celebrating by releasing a special colorway of the Nike Air Griffey Max 1.
Known as the Nike Air Griffey Max 1 InductKid, not only does this all-white pair of Griffeys celebrate The Kid’s Hall of Fame induction, but it’s also another release that commemorates the 20th anniversary of the silhouette. This Griffey Max 1 features a an all-white leather upper with perforations that can be seen throughout. The only hits of color come on the Swoosh branding on the tongue and heel which have been done in bronze to reference the statue/hardware he’ll receive at the hall of fame.
You can look for the Nike Air Griffey Max 1 InductKid at select Nike retailers on July 23, 2016 for $150.
Being that this is a reference to Ken Griffey Jr.’s hall of fame induction, I think Nike could have done a much better and creative job with these. There’s nothing really memorable about an all-white sneaker.
