Introducing the Nike SB Roshe Mid

The Nike Roshe Two finally hit retail shelves before the end of Summer 2016, giving Dylan Raasch’s instant-classic Nike Roshe Run a sequel worthy of the original Zen-inspired lifestyle creation. But now that the Nike Roshe Two is out and doing its thing, you can expect a number of variants and offshoots to come to fruition like Nike Skateboarding’s own take on the silhouette, the Nike SB Roshe Mid.

That’s right, Nike SB has finally used the Roshe Run as inspiration. There were other silhouettes that came to fruition like the Nike SB Trainerendor that had certain Roshe elements to it, but this high-arching Nike SB Roshe Mid is one of the strangest cross-brand incorporation of the Roshe’s DNA that we’ve seen yet. The upcoming model is slated to release on October 1st in grade school sizes to start, but we hope to see more of this Roshe Mid on the horizon throughout Fall 2016.

The Nike SB Roshe Mid features a neoprene sock-like fit extended around the ankle for dynamic support while an oversized midfoot strap connects the heel in a cage-esque overlay. Even the toecap gets added dimension thanks to Tape technology to match the rugged outsole unit. What do you think of the latest take on the Roshe? Stay tuned for more updates right here on Sneaker News and grab your pair on Saturday, October 1st.

Nike SB looks to make the Janoski more appropriate for the Fall season. How so? By converting it into a mid and giving it a boot-like aesthetic. Let’s take a closer look at this readily available colorway of the Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski Mid.

The Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski Mid is equipped for the colder months by coming with wool-like insulation on the interior part of the shoe. In addition, the shoe’s upper is done in leather, while D-ring lace eyelets give them even more of a boot-like feel to them. The majority of the shoe comes in an Obisidian colorway, while the hits of Brown noted on the laces, piping and tongue tag give the shoe some nice contrast. Lastly, an off-White sole unit rounds out the look of the shoe. Out now, pick up your very own pair today for $100.

The wool on the lining is a nice added touch. The color scheme is clean and the hits of Brown really give it that boot feel. Good work, Nike SB.

Nike Air Max 97 1 Nike Air Max 97 2 Nike Air Max 97 3 Nike Air Max 97 4 Nike Air Max 97 5

The Nike Air Max 97 will soon be celebrating its 20th anniversary. The shoe hasn’t been in stores since 2012, so you know Nike is planning on doing something to celebrate this Air Max’s 20 years of existence. What you see above is the Nike Air Max 97 Silver Bullet. There is good news and bad news about this shoe. The good news: It’s releasing! The bad news: It’s releasing only in Italy.

The Nike Air Max 97 was a special model because it was the first Nike shoe to feature a full-length Air unit on the sole. The Silver Bullet colorway was designed by Christian Tresser and it was an instant hit in Italy, for that reason, Nike has decided to make this retro an Italy exclusive to help celebrate the models 20th anniversary. Italy’s colors appear on the tongue and heel to help give the shoe a nice little touch. Said to be dropping on October 5th, you will be able to find them at select retailers such as Slam Jam, NikeLab ST18, Excelsior and One Block Down in Milan, Holypop in Rome and LuisaViaRoma in Florence.

Author’s Take

I used to have an Air Max 97 when I was in middle/high school. My mom picked them up for me at a second-hand store. I wasn’t sure what they were back then, but I thought they looked dope. Dope to see the model make a return, I hope other colorways arrive stateside.

I don’t consider myself a fan of the Air Max 95, and if I were to ever pick up a pair it would be something with some color on it.

I love burgundy, so if more would have been added possibly on the midsole and Swoosh, it would have looked better.

The Nike Air Python Premium returns in a new colorway this Fall 2016, which is almost similar to the monochromatic gym red variation that debuted in Spring 2015.

This pair, however, flaunts the eye-catching hue across its Air Jordan 2-inspired upper, which is embossed in snakeskin for a touch of luxury. All resting atop a contrasting white Air Force 2 sole unit with a gum outsole, the model is topped off with matching laces, eyelets and branding gracing the tongue tab and rear.

Priced at $150, look for this latest lifestyle silhouette at select Nike accounts now.

Author’s Take

I like the silhouette in general and this color combination is always a crowd pleaser. I’m not really a fan of the python upper, but, it’s not a deal breaker.

Hard Work Can Pay Off With The New Nike KD 9 University Red (Video)

After some slight confusion, the Nike KD 9 University Red (or “Hard Work”) now has a new release date and would’t you know it, today’s the day Kevin Durant’s latest drops in stores. Featuring a red and black Flyknit upper, some might even dare call it a “Bred” colorway. I won’t, because there’s enough sneakers called “Bred” in this world that we don’t need another one if we’re being honest here.
