The Nike Roshe Two finally hit retail shelves before the end of Summer 2016, giving Dylan Raasch’s instant-classic Nike Roshe Run a sequel worthy of the original Zen-inspired lifestyle creation. But now that the Nike Roshe Two is out and doing its thing, you can expect a number of variants and offshoots to come to fruition like Nike Skateboarding’s own take on the silhouette, the Nike SB Roshe Mid.
That’s right, Nike SB has finally used the Roshe Run as inspiration. There were other silhouettes that came to fruition like the Nike SB Trainerendor that had certain Roshe elements to it, but this high-arching Nike SB Roshe Mid is one of the strangest cross-brand incorporation of the Roshe’s DNA that we’ve seen yet. The upcoming model is slated to release on October 1st in grade school sizes to start, but we hope to see more of this Roshe Mid on the horizon throughout Fall 2016.
The Nike SB Roshe Mid features a neoprene sock-like fit extended around the ankle for dynamic support while an oversized midfoot strap connects the heel in a cage-esque overlay. Even the toecap gets added dimension thanks to Tape technology to match the rugged outsole unit. What do you think of the latest take on the Roshe? Stay tuned for more updates right here on Sneaker News and grab your pair on Saturday, October 1st.
