Where are all my Latino brothers and sisters at?! Nike is showing us some love this year by releasing this limited edition version of the Nike Cortez. Dubbed the Nike Cortez Latino Heritage Month, let’s get a closer look at the shoe that’s dropping tomorrow.
For thoe of you who aren’t aware, National Hispanic Heritage Months is recognized every yer from September 15th thru October 15th. This month is used to raise awareness, recognize and celebrate the history and contributions made by Hispanic and Latino Americans. The Nike Cortez Latino Heritage Month comes dressed in a Black upper done in a combination of nylon and nubuck construction. Without a doubt, the shoe’s most noticeable feature is the vibrant Mexican blanket-inspired Nike Swooshes placed on the side panels. Even more of the same colorful hues are noted on the insoles while “Cortez ?72? in Yellow is placed across the heel tabs. In addition, the insoles also read ?L.H.M.? in reference to the respective theme, all while sitting atop a White midsole unit and Green outsole. Priced at $90, you can expect to find this pair at select Nike retailers, starting Friday, October 7th.

Not really a fan of the Cortez, but I’m very proud of my roots and culture, for that reason alone, I may consider picking up a pair of these.
