Dots All Over This Nike Hyperfr3sh

Following its recent Palm Tree iterations, the lifestyle Nike Hyperfr3sh is introduced in a new finish of polka dots for the season.

Comprised of a simple black textile build that ensures lightweight comfort and breathability, the component is detailed with the defining pattern across its entirety in contrasting white. The pristine hue is continued towards the midsole component which mimics the latest HyperDunk to essentially create a simple two-tone makeup.

Rounded out with matching laces, other elements include two-tone pull tabs to match with its respective palette, and miniature swoosh branding across the rear. More branding can also be seen on the tongue tab as well.

You can find this latest variation of the silhouette at Nike retailers starting March.

Author’s Take

In the right colorway, I’m a fan of the silhouette. This iteration is solid in my view, since it’s in a classic pattern as well. Fans of the sneaker should be excited.

The Stylish Nike Swoosh Hunter In Vachetta Tan

Previously showcased in tonal hues of white and black, the newly-introduced Nike Swoosh Hunter is unveiled in yet another colorway, this time sporting the currently trending Vachetta Tan finish.

The lifestyle silhouette is essentially comprised of premium leather across its textured base, which also incorporates an embossed geometric pattern that flows towards its ankle portion. Further detailed with signature removable strap, the aesthetically pleasing nude tone is nicely complemented by a clean white natural motion sole unit equipped with soft foam cushioning.

Other notable details include matching stitching throughout, reflective swooshes on the strap and orange-colored branding on the insoles. An official release date has yet to be announced, so stay tuned in to KicksOnFire for further details.

Author’s Take

I don’t like the silhouette that much, but in this colorway, I’m already biased. The design is clean overall, but again, I just like the colorway too much.

The Supreme x Nike Air Max 98 Collab Will Be Hyped To The Max (Video)

The formula goes “Supreme + Nike = Stupid Amounts Of Hype”. If there was a scouter for these things, you know it would be going over 9000, that’s for sure. From Nike SBs to Air Force 1s to Foamposites and most recently the Air Jordan 5, anytime the two brands come together, it is bound to get plenty of attention. The next in line for these two titans of streetwear is the Nike Air Max 98 with not one, not two, not three, but reportedly four colorways set to release later this year. Nike Scrapped The KD 8 Servant For Being Too Religious

Last Summer Kevin Durant revealed a never-before-seen version of his KD 8 signature shoe that featured an angelic graphic in an ivory/grey colorway and a bright crimson outsole. We learned that the shoes were completely scrapped and were made just for Kevin Durant, but turns out there’s a bit more to the story. During the NBA All-Star Weekend festivities in Toronto, Sneaker News learned why this great KD 8 release was shelved thanks to some insight from Nike Basketball Design Director Leo Chang. The shoes, dubbed the “Servant” colorway as a nod to Kevin Durant’s devotion to Christ, was deemed “too religious” by Nike as it featured angels as well as biblical references on the tongue as well as the insoles. This is somewhat of a contradiction, given Nike Basketball’s continuing Christmas and Easter traditions. Leo happened to have a pair on his feet, so it appears that pairs were made for friends and family, but never beyond that. Recap KD’s Instagram pics below and let us know if you think Nike should’ve released these.

Eric Kostons Next Nike SB Signature Shoe Is Unlike Any Other Skate Shoe In History

Introducing the Nike SB Hyperfeel Koston 3. Legendary skater Eric Koston is back with a new silhouette that could change the game, as this preview of his next signature is aptly featured in the Lakers’ signature purple and gold colors. There does seem to be a bit of a correlation between Kobe’s Flyknit high-tops and this Nike SB model, as an ankle collar provides even more flexible stability in a way that we’ve never seen a skate shoe do before. A lunarlon footbed and natural motion grooves on the outsole only further the tech in this Koston offering, but we’ll have to wait and see what else is in store once we get a better preview. For now, enjoy a full look at this Kobe-like Koston below and let us know if you’re a fan of the Hyperfeel Koston 3 by taking your thoughts to the comments section.

Skepta Shows Off His Nike Air Classic BW Blacklisted Collaboration

English rapper Skepta helped push the grime scene into a global phenomenon. What resulted was some universal appeal, a friendship with Drake, a mass following of his Boy Better Know label (of which Drizzy got a tattoo), and now a Nike Air Classic BW collaboration. The ‘Roadman’ rapper unveiled the understated collab earlier today, as the Classic BW utilizes some premium nubuck and suede, all drenched in a murdered out black-on-black for a simple and refined look. He’s calling it the colorway “Blacklisted”. Not too bad for his first Swoosh collab. No word yet on the nature of this release, but check out a few preview shots straight from Sketpa’s Instagram account below.

The Nike Air Foamposite One Fruity Pebbles Is Back and Ready For More Campouts

Do you remember when people actually camped out for a grade school Foamposite last year? The “Fruity Pebbles” Foamposites made a lot of noise thanks to a multi-color rainbow array on the outsole and now the look is back for 2016. Instead of a white base, the Nike Air Foamposite One returns with a matte black look to allow the cereal-esque bottom to shine. We doubt this Lil Posite will result in a similar response to long mall lines full of sneakerheads ready to appease their grade schoolers on a weekday, but then again who knows. Check out a better view below and we’ll keep you updated on an actual release date right here on Sneaker News in the near future.

Nike Gave A Former Employee An Awesome Farewell Gift

Sometimes even when you’re an employee at Nike, you don’t get every pair of sneakers you want. That was the case for former Nike Sportswear Digital Brand Manager Victor Nguyen-Long, who had the Air Jordan 3 “Black/Cement” elude him for years. That all changed recently, but ironically not until after he left the brand to take on a larger role elsewhere. It was Victor’s Nike Sportswear team that hooked him with the 3’s at last, complete with custom lace dubrés and wooden box to commemorate his time at the Swoosh.

First Look At The Nike Swoosh Hunter Vachetta Tan

The Nike Swoosh Hunter release is just days away as several retailers are reporting stock this weekend (February 29th). As expected this purely lifestyle shoe is getting the predictable NikeLab treatment of tonal leather uppers as the trendy “Vachetta Tan” look reaches yet another sneaker. Does this mean that a red and navy pair are in the works? It seems likely, given the brand’s affinity for Vachetta Tan, red, navy, white, and black. Peep a detailed gallery below and we’ll let you know when these hit stores, or if these will release alongside the white and black pairs this coming leap year Monday.

Nike To Release The Air Max Zero Tinker Hatfield And More On Air Max Day

Nike celebrated Air Max Day in a big way in 2015 by releasing the Air Max Zero, a sneaker that originally lived as a conceptual design decades ago. In January, the yellow version on Tinker’s sketch released exclusively through the SNKRS App, but sources say that the yellow/black pair will indeed make a return during the 2016 Air Max Day festivities. In addition, a new, never-before-seen colorway of the Zero is also scheduled to drop. Air Max Day is held annually on March 26th, so expect Nike to bring out some other heat as we lead up to this tradition that while celebrated since the 90s, has become official just two years ago. Will you be copping the Air Max Zero this March? Stay tuned for more details.

Another look at this latest vibration of the Nike Air Max 95, dubbed “Phantom” is presented yet again, this time depicting the silhouette in a lifestyle setting.

Defined by its muted palette, light bone and wolf grey essentially covers the majority of its signature paneled upper of mesh, suede and leather. In addition, pristine hits of white are implemented on the tongue and midsole component to reinforce the colorway.

Finished off with a contrasting black outsole and matching laces to complement its aesthetic, purchase a pair at select Nike stockists overseas now, although it’s set to arrive at stateside retailers very soon.

A Bold Nike Air Max Thea

Nike Air Max Thea Nike Air Max Thea 1 Nike Air Max Thea 2

While a tonal iteration of the Nike Air Max Thea in University Red was previously offered, another rendition of the women’s model is presented, although this time receiving another touch of contrast.

Composed of a breathable mesh upper with tonal synthetic overlays adorning the toe cap and vamp, smooth leather is also utilized on the side panels and heel counter, which bears perforations to allow breathability. With the defining tone prevalent across its entirety, contrasting black accents adorn the inner lining, tongue tab, laces, Swoosh branding, pull tabs and frontal portion of its outsole.

Rounded out by a clean white full length sole unit, you can find this pair at select Nike accounts overseas now, while a stateside release will follow soon.

Author’s Take

I’m a fan of the model’s design. This colorway is a clear-cut classic. Ladies should consider purchasing a pair.

Gratitude: Nike Hooks Up Employee With His Air Jordan Grails For Going Away Gift

Nike Employee Going Away Gift 2 Nike Employee Going Away Gift 3 Nike Employee Going Away Gift 4 Nike Employee Going Away Gift 5

Nike has used to have a Digital Brand Manager named Victor Nguyen-Long. For reasons that I am not aware of, Victor decided it was time to move on to his next venture in life which included him leaving his current position with Nike. As a sign of appreciation, Nike decided to give Victor a going away gift that I’m sure he will cherish forever: a pair of his Air Jordan 3 Black Cement grails that he never managed to get a hold of after years and years of trying.

Victor took to his IG to show all his followers exactly what it is that he got as a going away gift. He went on to write,

?Every sneakerhead has a handful of J?s they?ve always wanted, but never managed to get. They?re the ones that got away?

The NSW digital team managed to get a hold of Victor’s grails and decided to gift them to him as a thank you for all the hard work he put in during his time with team Nike. Not only did he get his Air Jordan 3 from the CDP, his grails came inside a custom wooden box that came with personalized VNL Wings that mimicked the Jordan Wings logo, a set of custom deubres with his initials on them, and best of all, the box comes with the names of his Nike Sportswear co-workers lasered on the bottom of the box. Victor went on to say that the gift was ?A beautiful memorial to the best damn team in the world.?

If you were put in Victor’s position, which grails would have been inside that box. Great work Victor, best of luck in your future endeavors!

On-Hand Look Of The Nike KD 8 Bible The Servant

If you were in Toronto for NBA All-Star Weekend and managed to get into all the hot spots in the city, there’s a good chance that you cam across some pretty sweet exclusive footwear. Take for example the sneaker that @kustoo came across. Said to be named the Nike KD 8 Bible The Servant, this is a KD with a theme we’ve never quite seen before.

The shoe is said to reference Kevin Durant’s latest nickname, “The Servant”, while also paying homage to his loyalty to the Bible and Christianity religion. The shoe is inspired by Kevin Durant?s favorite Bible verse, Matthew 11:29 which reads, ?Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.? KD likes that verse so much that it appears on the insoles of the shoes. The upper of the shoe comes covered in graphic that show grey and white angels all over Flyweave upper. Adding some color to the shoe is the Pinkish translucent outsole seen below. One thing worth mentioning is that @kustoo was informed that this KD 8 will not be releasing to the general public. Would you have wanted to see the shoe release?

Author’s Take

Pretty cool, and this coming from a man who is not the religious type whatsoever. The  subtle upper paired up with the bold sole look really clean.
