A Detailed Look At The NikeLab Roshe Two Premium

The Nike Roshe Two is finally here and it’s wasting no time getting premium Flyknit and leather overhauls for the upcoming Fall/Winter 2016 season. The shoe should have been done in all University Red or all Night Maroon. I don’t like the way the two shades of red look together.

First Look At The Nike Presto Mid Utility

The Nike Presto has been one of Nike Sportswear’s most sought after retro releases through most of the summer, but now we’re starting to see how the famed silhouette will do for the colder seasons ahead thanks to the introduction of the Nike Presto Mid Utility.

The high-arching slip-on upper features a new zipper construction, a stretchy mesh and neoprene combination, and the original cage support system for a functional yet head-turning look. Think of it as a general release of ACRONYM’s Nike Presto collaboration. The Nike Presto Mid Utility comes equipped with five color options highlighted by a Triple Black. While it probably won’t replace your boots in winter, the latest mid-top Presto does feature a unique enough design to feel new again.

These five colorways are slated to release this coming Fall/Winter 2016 season. Stay tuned for more updates regarding this updated Nike retro offering in the near future.

The Nike Spiridon Gets The Updated Ultra Treatment

Nike’s cult classic running model, the Nike Zoom Spiridon, got a boost thanks to a premium effort from NikeLab complete with luxurious mirror-like Swooshes followed by the return of some head-turning original colorways. Now Nike Sportswear is adding some modern amenities to the silhouette like a lighter overall ride with the introduction of the updated Nike Spiridon Ultra.

The Nike Zoom was one of the earliest running models to ever come equipped with Zoom Air. Pair that technological update with a sleek design complete with a breathable mesh and oversized Swoosh and it isn’t too hard to see why the shoe was such a standout back in 1997. Nike finally gave running purists the retro they deserved, but just in case you were looking for something a bit lighter, NSW returns here with an updated outsole that rids the silhouette of some of its vintage weight.

What do you think of the updated Nike Spiridon? Check out more detailed shots below and be sure to head over to our release dates page for more of the latest sneakers headed to retailers.

Can Lightning Strike Twice With The Nike Roshe Two (Video)

When the Nike Roshe Two was officially announced, the reaction from the Kicks On Fire staff was mixed…

Juan Martinez, Editor-In-Chief: [W]hile the Roshe still has plenty of fans in the general public, there are lots of people who have moved on to Ultra Boosts, Pure Boosts…

Renz Ofiaza, News: Maybe in a colorway that I like, I?ll appreciate it more, but so far, I?m all for the new and simple Roshe Two.

Juan Carrillo, News: I love the extra stability, cushion and flexibility that the new sole unit provides, and the new look on the upper is very sleek.

Andres Carrillo, News: Although it seems like there?s actually some technology to this pair of Roshes, I?d have to see them in person to decide if the $90 (or $130 for Flyknit) is worth it.

You can’t go anywhere without seeing somebody wearing a pair of the original Nike Roshe One (or Run as it was originally called). But nowadays you won’t see anybody calling the shoes “cool” anymore. They have become mainstream and thus are as just as likely to be worn by your uncle who buys one or two pairs of shoes a year as they are to be seen on a sneakerhead. It has been a minute since we’ve been excited for a Roshe release and Nike seems to have sensed that with the reveal of the Nike Roshe Two. With upgrades across the board, is the sleeker look enough to start a phenomenon again like the original? Time will tell for sure…
