Nike Continues With Colorless KD 9 Releases In Oreo

Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook face off for the first time in Thunder vs. Warriors Pt. 1 tonight and we have an inclining that you might want to turn on TNT tonight at 10:30PM EST. The Nike KD 9 has been featured in a number of PE colorways already, usually in a vibrant combination of the Warriors’ royal and yellow colors, but in terms of retail releases, the best colorways have used stark contrast and minimal vibrancy to look as good off-the-court as on it. We’ve already seen the Nike KD 9 “Oreo” release this past summer, but now another Nike KD 9 White Black release will be arriving at retailers this December 15th for $150 USD.

The KD 9 benefits from a molded Flyknit upper with a 3/4 length Zoom Air cushioning system for a comfortable ride that still allows for a lightweight feel allowing for quick cuts and signature impact absorption. If the first “Oreo” take wasn’t for you, there’s something to be said about the “Home” version displayed here as a marbled black and white toe and forefoot gives way to a ventilated white heel to contrast the speckled black midsole. What do you think of the Nike KD 9 White Black?

Check out more detailed photos after the break and stay tuned for more release date updates right here on Sneaker News.

The Nike Air Max 96 turned 20 this year. Although that may be the case, Nike did not do much in terms of celebrating the model this year. Yes, they brought the model back, but the releases and colorways were far and few in between. With the year coming to an end, Nike has decided to put on the spotlight on the anniversary with these two special releases.

Celebrating 20 years of existence is the Nike Air Max 96 and the Nike Air Max 96 II. The major difference between the two lies in the use of the Ultra sole placed on version II. Both versions come in a Black and White aesthetic, where Black takes of the upper and the White is found on the large Air Max unit. Both models are now available internationally for $169 each, which pair are you feeling the most? Stay tuned to find out when these drop stateside.

Author’s Take

Very clean and simple. If I had to pick between the two, I’d opt for the II version only because I know it will be lighter and more comfortable.

The Next Undercover x NikeLab Gyakusou Running Collection Releases Next Week

It’s been over six years since Nike first partnered with Jun Takahashi, founder of Undercover, in an effort to redefine the way we look at running apparel. The frequent updates to the Undercover NikeLab Gyakusou Running imprint have featured an undeniable aesthetic quality that’s been as innovative as it has been head-turning thanks to Takahashi’s unique sensibilities and Nike’s need to always improve functional athletic apparel for everyday use.

In the latest piece for Nike News, Takahashi talks about how running is his biggest source of creativity. This time around, Jun skipped over incorporating the meditative aspects of running for a capsule collection that preaches functionality and comfort. The hope was that those inspired by high fashion would gravitate to the latest Nike Gyakusou Running Collection and carve out time for running in their respective lives in the same way that Undercover’s founder does. The tonal colors utilized throughout were inspired by both urban and natural landscapes as well as traditional shades seen throughout Japan’s scenery. Here two new colorways of the well-received Nike LunarEpic Flyknit appear featuring additional branding on the heel tab and a new supportive web overlay for additional water resistant aspects.

While most of the preview shots revolve around Undercover x NikeLab Gyakusou’s latest running apparel collection, be sure to check out the brief footwear teaser below and know that the entire offering will be available on Nike.com/nikelab and at select NikeLab retail locations on November 10th.

Release Reminder: Nike Kobe 11 Invisibility Cloak

Nike Kobe 11 Nike Kobe 11 1 Nike Kobe 11 2

With the unveiling of the new Kobe A.D., this Nike Kobe 11 Invisibility Cloak, may perhaps be one of the last iterations of Bryant’s final on-court signature sneaker.

Taking cues from the Nike Zoom Kobe 7 that debuted in 2012, the low-top basketball sneaker flaunts a similar palette which is covered in a stealthy hue of all-black across its upper. Pops of hot pink pronounce the design, which is evidenced on the flywire system and sheath logo on the tongue, while reflective accents are visible with the Swooshes across its side panels. Finally, an icy blue translucent outsole finishes off the profile.

Retailing for $160, you can buy this standout pair at select Nike retailers starting tomorrow, Friday, November 4th.
