Nike’s annual Doernbecher Freestyle Program which debuted in 2004, continues this year, as it’s essentially a collaboration with OHSU Doernbecher Children?s Hospital in Portland, Oregon.

Featuring the Nike Air Max Zero, designed by 10-year old Chehayla Hyatt, who currently battling cystic fibrosis — one day while receiving treatment, she looked up and spotted a flock of wooden birds hanging from the ceiling. ?Mom,? she said, ?the birds are like the Doernbecher staff. They take us under their wings.?

With this theme in mind, the vibrance and wisdom is simply prevalent across the silhouette’s color palette of barely orange, sunset glow, lime green and purple.

The Nike Air Force 1 Ultra Flyknit Mid got off to a strong start when it made its debut earlier this year. As the year went by, the hype went down and the releases began to slow down. Regardless, in my opinion it’s still one of the best models of 2016, so when I saw that another colorway was on the way, I was pretty happy to hear the news.

What you see above is the Nike Air Force 1 Ultra Flyknit Mid Heather Grey. As the name suggests, it comes with a Flyknit upper done in a Heather Grey colorway. More of the same hue is found on the leather hits noted on the heel, strap and Nike Swoosh. Below you will find a White Ultra (cored out) sole unit to give you contrast and comfort at the same time. With reports of the classic Nike Air Penny 4 returning next year after its absence in the market for several years, images of the forthcoming OG Away-colored pair have now surfaced online.

Essentially correlating with the Orlando Magic, the retro basketball sneaker dons a predominantly black nubuck and tumbled leather base, with the defining dark neon royal accents evidenced across the trimming along the quarters and heel. Nike surprised us all this week, actually only the city of New York, by releasing a very limited colorway of the Nike Air Max 1.

The Nike Air Max 1 Cork that you see above released exclusively and without warning and exclusively at Nike Soho earlier this week. Limited to only 100 pairs, as you can see the on the etched detailing on the heel, this Air Max 1 features a full cork upper with gold accents on the upper eyelets. Other details include gold on the inner liner and laces, and a white sole unit.

Yet, another updated/hybrid version of the Nike Air Force 1 has created. Made for the women, this Nike AF1 is known as the Nike Air Force 1 UltraForce Mid. What makes this one different from other AF1s? It comes with a breathable bootie.

Aside from the aforementioned breathable bootie, being that this is an Ultra Air Force 1, you know Nike is going to core-out the sole, thus making it more lightweight and comfortable. The Light Bone upper rocks a tonal look constructed out of a combination of leather, neoprene and some mesh, while the entire Ultra sole comes in a tonal White. Ladies, what do you think?
