Jordan And Nike To Release Limited atmos Pack

We’ve known for quite some time that the original elephant printed Nike Air Max 1 “Atmos” colorway would be coming back for Air Max Day ever since Nike allowed fans to vote on their retro of choice last year. One thing we didn’t expect: Jordan Brand and Nike Sportswear to team up to release an extremely limited “Atmos Pack” featuring the famed atmos x Nike Air Max 1 “Elephant” (or an Air Max 1 heavily inspired by the original) and a yet to be unveiled special edition Air Jordan 3 colorway to match.

Both the Nike Air Max 1 and Air Jordan 3 are two of Tinker Hatfield’s most recognizable designs, and there have been plenty of elephant printed crossovers in the past atop the 1987 running silhouette. J23App reported earlier today that the Nike Air Max 1 x Air Jordan 3 “Atmos Pack” will be limited to Tier Zero retailers only, so you can expect the offering to be extremely limited. We still don’t have a look at the Air Jordan 3 Atmos, but something tells us it will feature traditional cement elephant print with that signature jade highlight to match the Air Max 1. Get excited.

Stay tuned for more details regarding this rumored Jordan Brand x Nike Sportswear “Atmos Pack” right here on Sneaker News.

Introducing The Nike PG 1, NBA 2K Colorway Revealed

Nike has taken the lid off the Nike PG 1, Paul George’s signature shoe debut with Nike Basketball, via a press release. After a brief tease earlier this morning, the All-Star will rock the NBA 2K colorway – highlighting his turn as this year’s cover athlete for the video game – on Thursday, January 12 at the O2 Arena in London when the Indiana Pacers take on the Denver Nuggets. He will join the likes of Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant and LeBron James as active Nike Basketball signature athletes.

The lightweight low-cut sneaker follows George’s preferences and was designed by Tony Hardman, known for his work on the Nike Zoom Run The One and the Nike Hyperchase, the latter of which was worn by George extensively. Signature details on the shoe include a bobber lace lock that was inspired by George’s fishing hobby, his jersey number on the heel and more. For the 2K colorway, the PG 1 will feature a unique sockliner that has George’s video game likeness.

According to the press release, the shoe will feature:

  • Forefoot strap with Flywire technology loop system provides adaptive support
  • Zoom Air unit under the forefoot and plush sockliner provide responsive cushioning
  • Full-bootie construction delivers a snug, 1-to-1 fit
  • Multidirectional scale-inspired blade traction provides ultimate court grip

The Nike PG 1 NBA 2K doesn’t have an official release date as of yet, but it is expected to drop in the spring time with a retail price of $110. Stay tuned to Kicks On Fire for more information as it comes.

Nike Unveils Paul Georges First Signature Shoe, The Nike PG 1

Nike Basketball extends its legacy of signature athletes with the introduction of Paul George and his first-ever signature shoe, the Nike PG 1. Designed by Nike Basketball designer Tony Hardman (who also penned other low-cut hits like the Run The One and Hyperchase), the PG 1 features a low-cut build with a forefoot strap and Zoom Air cushioning – an ideal package for  Paul George’s versatile play on both ends of the court.

This launch colorway makes use of a light grey body with an iridescent Swoosh, translucent outsole, and fish-scale detailed on the upper. It also features Paul George’s 2K-rendered portrait on the insoles as a nod to his love for gaming, while the round lacelocks and fish-scale detailing on the outsole are inspired by his love of fishing.

Paul George is Nike Basketball’s 21st signature athlete in 44 years. He is also fourth active NBA player with a Nike signature shoe. The Nike PG 1 releases soon for an MSRP of $110.

Paul George Teases The Nike PG 1 Reveal

When the Indiana Pacers take on the Denver Nuggets inside the O2 Arena in London for the NBA Global Games 2017, there’s a really good chance Paul George will be wearing some new kicks. What makes us think that? Just a hunch. Well, either that or this subtle hint of an Instagram post George just put up a few hours ago teasing his first Nike Basketball signature shoe, the Nike PG 1.

First glance at my first Nike signature shoe! More to come from London? #PG1

The Nike PG 1 is a long time coming for both George and Nike. More than a few people have been asking for a Paul George signature shoe for some time now. His devastating injury during the summer of 2014 shook up the basketball world and maybe a plan or two from Nike. Two and a half years later, we’re (probably) now hours away from the official reveal. Who says nothing interesting happens during these overseas games?

Stay tuned to Kicks On Fire for more details as we get closer to the actual unveiling of the Nike PG 1.

Check Out The Box For Paul Georges Upcoming Nike Signature Shoe

paul-george-signature-shoe-box

Nike Basketball’s new collective of signature basketball shoes have finally been unveiled with the Kyrie 3 and LeBron 14 making their respective debuts this past holiday season, but that won’t be the last we hear from the Swoosh either. Paul George is expected to get his own model in the future, and that day is coming sooner than you might expect.

Teammate CJ Miles teased an unboxing of the looming Nike PG 1 signature model with an official box showcasing Paul George’s new logo on it, only to open it up to reveal a bait and switch inside. You can check out a teaser image of the shoe here, but know that Paul George’s signature logo doesn’t match the new insignia featured on the box previewed by his teammate here, so there’s still a chance that the model has been tweaked a bit. Stay tuned for upcoming info regarding the PG 1 in the near future right here on Sneaker News.
