Air Max Day (March 26) is a worldwide event, and Brazil will celebrate the occasion with specially made wooden boxes for a few of the standout silhouettes featured in the 2017 Air Max Day collection.

Brazilian sneaker publication, SneakersBR, received the Nike Air Max 1 Master with a yellow-lined wooden box, and the color of logo on the boxes determine which shoe you get — emerald for the Air Max 1 Atmos, blue and red for the anniversary/OG Air Max 1s.

Only 30 of these special packagings were made and a majority is given out to friends and family, such as influencers, sneaker personalities, athletes and more.

Brazilian retailers such as Guadalupe Store and Maze in São Paulo, in addition to the Nike Copacabana in Rio de Janeiro, will have a few boxes available for its first few customers.

If you’re in the area, availability is scheduled for March 11th.

While its original Home and Away colorways have already debuted, the Nike Air Penny 4 will be offered in a copper theme as well for its Spring 2017 lineup.

Flaunting an understated profile of wolf grey with anthracite throughout its premium leather and suede construction, the subdued theme is punctuated by metallic copper accents along the trimming of its sides, as well as on the strap buckle, distinctive Penny logos and the classic air bag unit in the heel.

With its suggested price listed at $160, you can expect to find this pair at select Nike retailers very soon.

With the Nike Kyrie 3 Duke releasing tomorrow, this classic cool grey variation is expected to follow weeks after, in addition to a pristine multicolor option.

Overall flaunting a monochromatic theme, the defining cool grey hue simply covers the sneaker’s entire upper, tongue, laces and full-length sole unit. Vibrant volt accents are seen on the tongue branding and insoles, while the frontal portion os the outsole also incorporates a multicolor finish to round out its contrasting elements.

Finally, reflective Swooshes are applied on the inner lateral section of the sneaker and Kyrie’s signature is seen behind the tongues.

Priced at $120, this latest variation is set to make its debut at Nike retailers on March 24th.

Lost in the madness that is Nike Sportswear’s Air Max Day celebration throughout the entire month of March is the recently unveiled women’s exclusive Air Max Jewell, a silhouette that takes most of its inspiration from the 1998 classic Nike Air Max Plus, but with a smooth leather upper, embossed branding and more. While a performance rendition will be releasing later this week, April 1st will showcase the premium sensibilities of the silhouette with the Air Max Jewell “Tortoise Shell” Pack, a duo of seamless leather uppers with the vintage glasses inspiration arriving on the heel and outsole for a unique twist. Colorways range from a standard issue Black/Orange after the iconic retro glasses and a Sail with a grayscale pattern. There’s still no word yet on pricing for this Air Max Jewell luxe option, but stay tuned for more updates right here on Sneaker News.

Nike has created an exclusive pair of Air Force 1s for legendary musician Elton John. The Nike AF1 ?Jet? is a one-of-a-kind sneaker created to say thank you to Elton for his commitment to diversity and inclusion, and his long-standing relationship with Nike.

The upper of this Air Force 1 is inspired by two factors. A British Knight?s Armor and the Disco Ball. The design has a 1970s feel to pay homage to the early days of disco and the relationship between Elton and Nike. By doing that it also creates an aesthetic nod to Elton?s ?Knighthood? with the chrome effect.

The shoe is finished off with Nike BETRUE color inspiration and graphics. The shoes were designed, built and produced at Nike?s WHQ with the shoes themselves being manufactured in The Builder Lab within Nike?s Advanced Product Creation Centre which most recently created Odell Beckham Jr.?s NFL cleats and a vast number of the footwear for Track & Field athletes at the recent 2016 Rio games. The AF1 Jet was presented to Elton this past weekend in Eugene, Oregon.

Elton?s relationship with Nike began in the mid-1970s when Geoff Hollister created several one-of-a-kind shoes for the legendary musician. The Cortez, Daybreak, Tailwind hybrids appeared gained mythical status as they began popping up on the internet and in publications in the early 2000s.

The Nike Blazer Low you see above may look like a simple version and colorway of the shoe, but truth of the matter is that this pair was made exclusively for Paris Fashion Week which began on February 28th happened to conclude today.

Opting to give the shoe a subtle yet premium construction, the shoe comes dressed in a premium Black leather upper. The same hue can be found on the laces, lining, the stitching on the panels that make up the Nike Swoosh and custom embroidered PRS (Paris) branding on the tongue. If you take a closer look at the images, you will find that the medial side of the shoe also come in Black but are actually made out of suede. With March Madness on the verge of commencing, Nike has decided to unveil their upcoming Nike Zoom Rev Net Collectors Pack. This year’s pack opts for four different team-based colorways.

Each pair from the Nike Zoom Rev Net Collectors Pack will come equipped with a contrasting-colored Nike Swoosh on the panels all while sitting on top of a gum-colored sole unit. Additional features on the shoes include the graphics on the ankle padding, and the Net Collectors Society logo on the tongue. Available in Yellow, Blue, Green or Red, expect to find these at Nike.com in the coming weeks for the retail price of $110.

The legendary musician received several special make-ups of the Cortez, Daybreak, and Tailwind back in the 1970s, and today Nike reveals an Air Force 1 “Jet” made just for the cultural icon. This unique Air Force 1 is inspired by a British Knight’s Armor as well as a disco ball, which combines Elton John’s status as a knight and his influence on music.

The special tongue label as well as the rainbow gradient on the sole represents Nike’s BE TRUE message, which promotes diversity, inclusion, and most importantly, equal rights for all. This Air Force 1 is a special gift to Elton and will not release to the public.

Nike has made a huge announcement as they have unveiled their first performance hijab. For those of you that are not familiar with what a hijab is, it’s a head covering worn in public by some Muslim women that is attached to religion.

Nike had this to say about their Pro Hijab, ?The Nike Pro Hijab may have been more than a year in the making, but its impetus can be traced much further back, to an ongoing cultural shift that has seen more women than ever embracing sport.?

The purpose of Nike?s Pro Hijab is to make workouts easier for Muslim female athletes. The Nike Pro Hijab is set to hit retail during Spring ?18.
