Author’s Take:

Renz Ofiaza, News: Aside from the positive message it sends and represents, this colorway is pretty appealing overall. It’s still versatile enough for everyday wear and it’s definitely one of the best iterations of the silhouette for this year.

The Nike KD 9 Home 2 Arrives Next Month

With the on-court colorway last year being the first “home” iteration, this Nike KD 9 Home 2 is essentially another home-inspired finish which Kevin Durant will prominently wear at the Oracle Arena.

While the aforementioned pair inherited a predominantly blue finish, this variation however, incorporates a two-tone makeup. White with subtle blue accents is evident on the frontal portion of the flyknit upper, while its fused mesh is draped in blue. Finishing off the design are white swooshes, blue visible Zoom unit and a white rubber sole.

The Nike Air Presto Utility Team Red Is Too Sweet

It’s been a cool minute since an Air Presto has caught my attention, but this brand new Nike Air Presto Utility Team Red has definitely got me interested. There’s nothing too crazy about the shoe, but this shade of Red always seems to be a colorway a tend to gravitate to.

The Presto Utility Team Red keeps things in tonal fashion as a comes with a waterproof, lightweight, synthetic leather upper paired with the TPU lace cage and your customary slip-on inner bootie. Below you will find the usual lightweight Presto sole unit with a heel-based Air-Sole unit and Duralon outsole. The all-Team Red motif is broken up by the hits of White placed on the back portion of the midsole, the Nike Swoosh branding and the Black hits noted throughout. If you’re a fan of the shoe just like I am, pick up a pair today from select retailers for $130.

The Nike Air Force 1 UltraForce Low Comes In Linen Leather

My biggest complaint when it comes to the Nike Air Force 1 is the lack of comfort. Now that they’ve began releasing UltraForce versions of the shoe, I see myself wearing/buying more pairs of this of Air Force 1. One pair I have my eye on is the Nike Air Force 1 UltraForce Low Linen Leather.

As the name of the shoe suggests, the Nike Air Force 1 UltraForce Low come with Nike’s lightweight Nike Ultra technology. In other words, the sole is cored out, resulting in a lighter and much more comfortable version of the Air Force 1. As far as the upper goes, it keeps it simple as a Linen colored leather takes care of the entire base, including the debossed branding, laces and lining. Are you feeling this version of the Air Force 1 Low? If so, expect to see the Nike Air Force 1 UltraForce Low stateside in the near future.

The NikeLab Air Max 90 Flyknit Is Here

You knew it was only a matter of time until the iconic Air Max 90 was given the Flyknit treatment, and here it is. NIkeLab has taken the Tinker Hatfield-designed sneaker and covered it in brand new materials.

Seen above, the NikeLab Air Max 90 Flyknit features a new lightweight and breathable Flyknit upper in two different colorways. The first is done up in Ocean Fog (blue) and the other in all-black. In addition to the new Flyknit upper, the Ocean Blue pair comes with premium suede detailing on the tongue, mudguard, and heel. The all-black pair has been hit with leather on the tongue and mudguard. Both are then finished off with contrasting Sail midsoles.

The NikeLab Air Max 90 Flyknit is beginning to arrive at select overseas retailers now so it should only be a matter of time until they release stateside. What are your thoughts?

Best Look Yet At The Nike Vapormax

nike-vapormax-release-info-march-2017-01

One of our most anticipated shoes this year has to be the Nike Vapormax, just look at this thing. Nike is known for their innovation and they won’t just settle for Flyknit, Lunarlon, and Air Max either. So they went ahead and transformed the way we look at visible air completely with the introduction of the Nike Vapormax, rumored to be headed to retailers on March 16th, 2017 according to The Drop Date. Of course, they Swoosh could also be holding onto this new model for the upcoming Air Max Day celebration, seeing as how it’d be fitting to introduce the next era of visible air while also paying tribute to the past.

We’ve already seen the fashion-ready variation with the COMME des GARCONS Nike Vapormax, but today we get the best look yet at the coming model featuring a dark grey and icy transparent bottom. The Vapormax features an outsole comprised completely of Air Max technology thanks to a new design that’s allowed the shoe to feature an exterior layer with no need for a traditional midsole. We can’t imagine how these will feel to walk in let alone run in, but we’re excited to find out.

Check out more detailed shots below and stay tuned for a release date confirmation in the near future. In the meantime, it looks like the Nike Vapormax is coming in March 2017.

Nike Explores The History Of Foamposite, Sharing Original Sketches, Samples, and More

Nike celebrates, a major anniversary this year, the 20th anniversary of the Nike Air Foamposite One. The sneakers that introduced an entire new design language and style to the basketball court?and the street?is no doubt one of Nike’s most important models of all time, and the brand recognizes its impact with a look back at its birth.

The brain-child of Nike designer Eric Avar, Foamposite technology was created to act as a “liquid foam” that wrapped the foot, providing a dynamic fit and support, as well as added durability in comparison to traditional basketball sneaker constructions. Recalling his original thought process for Foamposite, Avar states, ?There was this notion of what if you literally just dipped your foot in this liquid bath of material and it just sucked around your foot? And what if you could go play basketball in that? That was the inspiration and I tried hard to get people to see that.?

The time spent developing and designing the unprecedented Foamposite was obviously not in vain, as it’s gone on to become one of the most iconic and recognizable models in Nike’s history?all while still looking like it could be from the future. Celebrate the 20th anniversary with a look at a few original sketches and prototypes, including one with an Air Max heel unit, and expect the original “Royal” colorway of the Air Foamposite One to hit select Nike Sportswear retailers beginning tomorrow, January 20th. (Release info HERE.)

The Stone Island x NikeLab Sock Dart Mid Releases Next Thursday

Tobie Hatfield’s Nike Sock Dart was a cult-classic the moment it debuted in 2004. Since then, Nike Sportswear has rightfully returned the running model to its proper place as a heralded lifestyle crossover through collaborations with Hiroshi Fujiwara’s fragment design and a number of new constructions from Tech Fleece to new SE toolings. The original featured a game-changing computerized knit upper and was the first step toward Nike’s advancement in Flyknit technology. Now the upcoming Stone Island Nike Sock Dart Mid collaboration once again reinvents the model with updated water-resistant materials on January 26th in three colorways.

Stone Island transforms the Nike Sock Dart with a new mid-cut design with a silicon print upper created through Nike’s sandwich mesh fabric in Italy. What resulted was a graphic texturized upper with a faded aesthetic that not only will turn heads but maintains the Sock Dart’s heralded ventilation system and flexibility. The Stone Island Nike Sock Dart Mid also features an updated Ariaprene collar while the natural motion-tooled outsole adds additional multi-directional patterns for a better grip this winter season.

Stone Island’s NikeLab Sock Dart Mid collaboration will be available January 26th at NikeLab retailers, online at nike.com/nikelab, Stone Island Flagship Stores and at stoneisland.com. Check out more detailed shots below and stay tuned for more Release Date updates right here on Sneaker News.

Detailed Look At The Nike LeBron 14 Out Of Nowhere

LeBron’s just a kid from Akron, Ohio. That slogan has been uttered during every major career accomplishment for LBJ from his three championships to his four MVP trophies. The ‘Out of Nowhere’ campaign has been a larger theme involving a number of athletes for Nike Basketball this season inspired by LeBron’s incredible chase-down block in Game 7 of the NBA Finals, and today we get a detailed look at the Nike LeBron 14 “Out Of Nowhere” colorway.

The Nike LeBron 14 Out Of Nowhere colorway debuted during the Cavaliers’ win over the Golden State Warriors on Christmas Day (you can see more on-feet shots here) featuring an ACRONYM Presto-like colorway with Volt and Bright Crimson accents on Wolf Grey and Black base. The head-turning colorway also introduced the world to the new construction that completely ditched any sign of Posite material on the upper for a seamless mesh slip-on base. Traces of the hexagonal Zoom Air return here for maximum cushioning and responsiveness while a midfoot strap adds lockdown support.

While the Nike LeBron 14 Black Ice is slated for a January 28th release for $175 USD, we still don’t have a release date for the coming Nike LeBron 14 Out Of Nowhere just yet. Check out the most detailed look at the colorway yet below and stay tuned for more updates right here on Sneaker News.
