Detailed Look At The NIke Air Foamposite Pro Silver Surfer

Nike is celebrating 20 years of Foamposite through a number of original colorways of Eric Avar’s head-turning creation returning to store shelves, but Nike Sportswear and Nike Basketball have some new options in store for us too, like the latest Nike Air Foamposite Pro headed to retailers this March. Known as the “Silver Surfer” colorway, this Metallic Silver creation is the perfect foil to the recently released Dr. Doom Foamposites thanks to a unique carbon fiber upper splashed with a chrome Swoosh on the side panel to coincide with black accents throughout.

Today we get the best look yet at the Nike Foamposite Pro Silver Surfer courtesy of some lucky soul on eBay that got their hands on this pair early. Rumor has it that this pair will be a bit more expensive than the usual Foamposite Pro retro as well, with a price point of $250 USD given the premium construction throughout. What do you think of the coming Nike Air Foamposite Pro Silver Surfer?

While we still don’t have an official day pinned down for this Silver Surfer Foamposite release, you can head over to our Release Dates page for an updated look at Nike Basketball’s coming schedule, and if you can’t wait, know that you can find this premium carbon fiber creation right now on eBay.

The Nike LunarEpic Flyknit 2 Releases Tomorrow

Nike Running hit the sweet spot when they introduced the Nike LunarEpic Flyknit in both low and high silhouettes last year. The revamped Lunarlon tooling featured targeted cushioning to help those troublesome pressure points on runners’ feet finally seek some relief, and the Flyknit technology utilized a natural yet snug fit complete with differences in the woven textile based on where your feet needed more natural movement. Today we get a look at the sequel, the Nike LunarEpic Flyknit 2, in lowtop form slated to debut stateside tomorrow, February 2nd followed by a global release on February 16th.

The Nike LunarEpic Flyknit 2 does more of the same, just better. The refined silhouette features an upgraded Dynamic Flywire construction, a new slip-on sock-like fit for a natural ride, and awesome new colorways to jumpstart the model. Today we get a look at 6 debut pairs ranging from the simple and standard Black/White option all the way down to a uniquely color-blocked Multi-Color choice. The smooth ride is courtesy of the laser-siped Lunarlon midsole that was unveiled on the original and can now be found in other creations like the Nike LunarCharge LE. Are These ACRONYM x Nike Air Force 1 Downtown Samples Finally Releasing

ACRONYM is known for their head-turning collaborations with Nike Sportswear. Not only have they redefined the Nike Lunar Force 1 in the past, but their take on the Nike Presto was one of last year’s most coveted creations from NSW, and for good reason. But could an oft-forgotten sample from the imprint be coming back based on the success of another lifestyle must-have from the Swoosh in the Nike SF-AF1? All signs are pointing to yes, as ACRONYM’s own Errolson Hugh posted three sketches of the coming ACRONYM Nike Air Force 1 Downtown on his Instagram today, hinting at a coming release.

Samples of the ACRONYM Nike Air Force 1 Downtown have been floating around for over a year now, and while the silhouette is definitely head-turning in its own right, perhaps it needed some momentum from the recently released Nike SF-AF1 to truly get Nike Sportswear behind the design and release the model at retail. The Nike Air Force 1 Downtown has been primarily a women’s silhouette in the past, but ACRONYM adds even more premium details, an updated mid-top strap with a strange buckle contraption, medial side zippers, and unique contrast stitching on the Swoosh side panel branding. We have more detailed shots of past samples that look almost identical to Errolson’s recent sketches, so check them out below.

If you can’t wait for a release announcement regarding the coming ACRONYM Nike Air Force 1 Downtown, know that you can find sample pairs on eBay today.

The ACRONYM x Nike Air Force 1 Is Coming Soon

As a follow up to last year’s standout ACRONYM x Nike Air Presto Mid, the fashion imprint helmed by Errolson Hugh, has reportedly worked with the Swoosh once again to reinterpret the iconic Air Force 1.

With the silhouette celebrating its 35th anniversary this year, the model is suggested to be offered in a plethora of variations. This particular iteration, however, is reminiscent of the recently released Nike SF-AF1 with its boot-like aesthetic and utilitarian vibes. Notable detailing includes ACRONYM branding, zippering system and a distinctive buckled ankle strap.

Previewed in three colorways, a release date for the style has not been announced yet.

Stay tuned to KicksOnFire for further updates.

Iced Jade Highlights The New Nike Air Icarus Extra

While the classic Nike Air Icarus returned in a few colorways last year, its modernized update with this Nike Air Icarus Extra, has just released in an iced jade/racer blue colorway.

Essentially similar to its original counterpart, this variation bears a more premium construction with a mixture of suede, leather and textile across its entire profile. Iced jade dominates its majority, while contrasting black accents are scattered throughout.

Pops of racer blue are implemented on the Swooshes, inner lining, branding on the rear and portion of the outsole for more vibrancy, as a crisp white midsole unit finishes off the bold profile.

Noted as a quickstrike offering, you can find this stand out pair at select Nike retailers overseas now.

Compared to its predecessor, the model flaunts a raised silhouette comprised of a plush collar design and seamless Nike Flyknit bootie. The sneaker essentially maintains its soft and smooth ride of the original, thanks to a laser-siped Lunarlon midsole and pressure mapped outsole.

Each retailing for $160, additional colorways will be available for purchase as well when it drops at select Nike stockists in North America starting tomorrow, February 2, while more retailers will have the style by February 16th.

This All-Black Nike Air Zoom Talaria 16 Drops Tomorrow

We just went over the Nike Air Zoom Talaria ’16 Blue and let you know that the shoe would be releasing tomorrow. If you love the model but were looking for something a bit more subtle looking, take a look at the all-Black Nike Air Zoom Talaria ’16.

The Nike Air Zoom Talaria ’16 is a model that pays tribute to the OG Talaria that made its debut way back in 1997. This includes the suede and breathable mesh build, laces and lining. The Grey-colored branding and the midsole provide subtle contrast. Lastly, the rainbow-like gradient design can be easily found on the outsole. Black Suede On The Nike Match Classic

There’s just something about suede. When (most) sneakers get covered in the buttery material it elevates the overall look and feel of the shoe.

That’s exactly the case with this Nike Match Classic. Covered in a black hairy/shaggy suede upper, subtle touches of white are then seen on the Swoosh branding as well as on the rubber sole unit. Additional smooth suede detailing can be seen on the heel as a finishing touch. Are you a fan of this new colorway of the Nike Match Classic covered in suede? Let us know in the comments below.

We already know that the Nike LunarCharge was designed by borrowing elements from past Nike Sportswear silhouettes, but now Nike is taking things a step further.
