The Nike Zoom Flight Bonafide Is Releasing On May 11th

One of Nike Sportswear’s most unusual models of the year so far finally hits retail next month with the debut of the Zoom Flight Bonafide. Love it or hate it, there’s no denying that the combination of a one-piece Flyknit upper and the classically-bold and still futuristic Zoom Flight 95 sole is certainly a head turner, especially in the multicolor version that accompanies the more subdued black and grey colorways. If you’re ready to pick up a pair, mark their May 11th release date on your calendars, and then go find them at select Nike Sportswear retailers and Nike.com.

Nike Basketball Flip The Switch Signature Pack Releases In May

Are you ready for the grind of the long NBA regular season to finally come to a close for games that actually matter? Us to. The NBA Playoffs are right around the corner, and Nike Basketball is celebrating with their latest Flip The Switch Collection, a vibrant array of signature models (sorry, there’s no Nike Kobe AD here folks) that are meant to embody the energy surrounding a playoff atmosphere through metallic gradients, multi-color hints, and jagged Swoosh branding.

The LeBron 14 features a colorway more readily associated with his time in Miami, as a stark white and black contrast upper features University Red hints. The most notable change is on the midfoot strap, where the Swoosh features jagged design cues in both black and red. The KD 9 Elite has the Larry O’Brien Trophy on the mind with an updated metallic gold Swoosh to contrast the melange grey Flyknit upper and gradient midsole. The Kyrie 3 and PG 1 are linked through similar shades of blue and purple gradients throughout.

The Nike Basketball Flip The Switch Collection will drop May 5th, 2017 with prices ranging from $110 – $175 USD. Stay tuned for more Release Date updates right here on Sneaker News.

The Nike Air Max Zero Is Releasing In Metallic Gold Too

The Nike Air Max Zero is the latest model to get in on the Air Max 97 trend. Later this week we’ll see a number of different Air Max silhouettes don the “Silver Bullet” look featuring that Metallic Silver, but if that aesthetic isn’t for you, there are still more classic colorways to be referenced during the AM97’s 20 year anniversary. We’re speaking of the Nike Air Max 97 Metallic Gold, of course. This is the first time we’ve seen that colorway translated onto a different Air Max model, as the Nike Air Max Zero Metallic Gold features touches of red on the heel counter while gold mesh and synthetic overlays match a metallic visible air unit borrowed from the Air Max 1. The Swoosh even has hidden reflective 3M features. The Nike Air Max Zero Metallic Gold drops April 17th, for $130.

Nike Updates The Air Current With New Upper and Sole Designs

The Nike Air Current gets some major updates for this new edition dubbed the Current Slip On. We’re not sure why Nike is calling this new version a “Slip On” despite it having laces just like the original version of the Air Current, but that’s besides the point of the new modifications to the once-radical late 1980s runner. Today we get our first preview of the Current Slip On, which is built with a mesh upper, neoprene collar, and seamless taped reinforcement for a modern take on the classic design. While most of the upper and sole unit are completely overhauled, they do retain the original midfoot elastic strap and small lacing system at the top. The Nike Current Slip On will release on Nike.com soon as it is already available in Asia.

Our First Look At The Nike Dualtone Racer

Above you will find a brand new Nike model knows as the Nike Dualtone Racer. Based off the images and name of the shoe, we’re pretty sure that you figured out that this new model is a modified version of the Nike Flyknit Racer. Let’s get a first look at the shoe and see how it differentiates from the OG Flyknit Racer.

For starters, the Nike Dualtone Racer is constructed out of mesh, not Flyknit. Another subtle difference is the fact that it comes with a midsole that appears to have more of a smooth finish to it. Flywire appears to remain in play, while the hit of suede on the heel adds a nice touch to the shoe. NO word yet on when these will drop or what the retail will be, but being that it’s made out of mesh and not Flyknit, we’re pretty sure it will be less than the $150 the Flyknit Racer retails for. Thoughts?

The Nike Air More Uptempo Triple Black Releases Friday

nike-air-more-uptempo-reflective-releasing-tomorrow

The Nike Air More Uptempo is going to be one of the most sought after sneakers by year?s end and it has the momentum of Supreme and last year’s retro releases to thank for it. Granted, the 1996 retro basketball model has long-since been a lifestyle staple thanks to its bulky ?Air? side panels and uniquely comfortable midsole unit. And while we?re going to guess that less than 10% of our readership will walk away with any of the Suptempo colorways, that doesn’t mean that you can’t still grab a nice substitute. The Nike Air More Uptempo Triple Black or Reflective depending on your nicknaming preference drops Friday April 14th for $160 USD. It utilizes that classic Triple Black look that’s always been a classic look for the model, it’s just usually paired with white piping for those ‘Air’ panels to directly benefit. Instead, a 3M Reflective piping replaces that look with matching stripes on the lacing system and heel. If you can’t wait until tomorrow, check for your size on eBay and Stadium Goods.

Preview Upcoming Colorways Of The Nike Dualtone Racer

It sure took a few years, but Nike has finally made a takedown version of the popular Flyknit Racer. This summer the Dualtone Racer makes its debut, featuring a silhouette quite familiar to any fan of the Flyknit Racer, but built in mesh instead of Flyknit with a smoothed-out midsole. Previously seen in suede, this mesh construction in obviously a more sporty option of the shoe as opposed to the lifestyle-leaning leather build. Do the Dualtone and other models like the Air Zoom Mariah Racer that are soon releasing foreshadow the end of production for the Flyknit Racer? Will a Flyknit racer 2 finally be dropping? We’ll all have to wait and see, but in the meantime, you can expect these mesh Dualtone colorways to appear at retail soon.
