The Nike Air Force 1 Low Jones Beach Gets The Retro Treatment Eight Years Later

Back in 2009, Nike dropped the Nike Air Force 1 Low Jones Beach. A fan favorite (especially in New York) , this special version of the Air Force 1 Low pays tribute to New York?s Long Island and its biggest summer destination, Jones Beach.

The 2017 version is said to mimic the same design and construction as the pair that dropped back in 2009. It comes with a sandy Tan canvas upper complimented by the seaweed graphic noted on the leather heel panels. Providing the shoe with some light color are the water-inspired Light Blue accents placed on the Jones Beach tongue tag representing the area?s iconic brick water tower. Lastly, the shoe is given clear outsoles with a map of Long Island visible underneath to complete the detailed theme of the shoe.

As of right now, the Nike Air Force 1 Low Jones Beach appears to be releasing in-store only this Saturday, July 22nd in the New York area at select retailers like Extra Butter and Renarts. We also expect the shoe to release on the Nike SKNRS app later that day, where you can get access to ?SNKRS Presents: Jones Beach North?.

Official Images of The Nike Air Max 97 Ultra 17 Silver Bullet

As most of you know by now, a whole lot of Air Max 97 goodness is on its way. Today we take a look at the official images of one of those upcoming releases, the Nike Air Max 97 Ultra ’17 Silver Bullet.

This version of the Nike Air Max 97 Ultra ’17 is given the classic Silver Bullet finish. Most of the shoe comes in Silver, while Red and White accents can be found on the branding and midsole. If you missed out on the AM 97 Silver Bullet, this modern version is definitely not a bad consolation prize (aside from being more comfy as well).

Look for the Nike Air Max 97 Ultra ’17 Silver Bullet to release first on August 5th via Nike SNKRS, followed by a global release on August 17th. Retail price is set at $170.

The Nike Hyperdunk 2017 Low City Pack Is Officially Unveiled

Above you will find six different styles of the Nike Hyperdunk 2017 Low that make up the upcoming Nike Hyperdunk 2017 Low City Pack. This special pack celebrates basketball’s global capital cities by paying homage to New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Manila, Beijing and Madrid. The cities listed are known for having a distinct competitive fire, and flare to the game.

Below you will find a description of each flavor that shows why each style chose their respective colors and graphics. A release date for each pair has also been provided. Take a look

Nike Hyperdunk Low 2017 ?Madrid? ? July 20

When the sun dips in Madrid, the city?s hoopers hit courts for games with locals and visitors alike. Transcending culture and social barriers, the game unites and creates a new sense of community.

The sunset timing of many of the city?s games inspires the Nike Hyperdunk Low 2017 Madrid, launching July 20. The MDZ emblazoned on the side and heel references a localized pronunciation of the city?s name, Madrid.

Nike Hyperdunk Low 2017 ?New York? ? August 2017

Testing skill in New York City on a single court isn?t enough. One has to establish themselves across the hallowed concrete of the five boroughs? most famous courts to reach icon status. Over generations, a blueprint for this all-city status has emerged, and each summer the Big Apple?s hungriest talent follows it to prove their metal.

With a schematic blueprint city map drawn in basketball-inspired lines, the Nike Hyperdunk Low 2017 NYC alludes to the city?s path to basketball success. The shoe launches early August.

Nike Hyperdunk Low 2017 ?Manila? ? August 2017

Surrounded by a towering concrete parking structure on all sides, Manila?s Tenement Court Taguig stands as one of the basketball world?s most striking environments. It?s cemented in community infrastructure and serves as an inescapable reminder of homecourt advantage and the heart and soul of the city?s basketball culture.

This court?s iconic aesthic is represetted by an allover gray and concrete-style midsole of the of the Nike Hyperdunk Low 2017 Manila. The shoe releases in August.

Nike Hyperdunk Low 2017 ?Beijing? ? August 1

Beijing is home to nearly 20 million people. And though its rapid basketball community isn?t blessed with an abundance of courts, there?s no shortage of stiff competition in places like Dongdan. With no room for mistakes in play, the city?s game requires players to go from rough to polished to stay on court.

The brilliant Emerald colorway of the Nike Hyperdunk Low 2017 Beijing reflects the reality of not only needing to show off, but to prove your worth too. The shoe launches August 1.

Nike Hyperdunk Low 2017 ?Chicago? ? August 2

Coined by Chicago-born basketball player Saieed Ivey, a Simeon Highschool graduate who was murdered in Los Angeles in 2014, FINAO (failure is not an option) has since become adopted citywide as a rallying call for the Windy City?s next generation of hoop talent. The phrase is inked on bodies and hash-tagged on social media to serve as a poignant reminder of the importance of embracing opportunity.

The Nike Hyperdunk Low 2017 Chicago honors Ivey?s legacy and Nike is proud to help raise awareness for his mission. Dressed in a colorful, hopeful pattern formed by a variety of hand-style articulations of FINAO. The shoe releases August 2nd.

Nike Hyperdunk Low 2017 ?Los Angeles? ? August 3

Los Angeles is a study in contrasts. From the beach to the hills, there?s a distinct change in vibe. Contrasts are also evident on local basketball courts. Outside city limits, players from Orange County and the Inland Empire have also raised the level of SoCal basketball. Hitting the floor at King Drew Magnet High School is the region?s ultimate equalizer. At the Drew, nobody cares where you?re from, as long as you can ball.

A special Drew League tongue and distinct color fade on left and right side (one representing LA, the other Orange County and the Inland Empire) of the Nike Hyperdunk Low 2017 LA pays homage to the coming together of worlds united by love of basketball. It launches August 3.
