The OG Movie-Worn Nike Mags Will Soon Be Up For Auction

Yup, those Mags. If you were at Comic-Con in San Diego this weekend, you may have came across the actual movie-worn Nike Mags that were on display. The holy grail sneakers worn by Michael J. Fox’s character Marty McFly in Back to the Future II has been recreated by Nike (twice) and was mass produced for a charity auction in 2011, while the auto-lacing version was raffled off for charity last year. Now it looks like a high roller may be able to own the Mags of Mags pretty soon.

The original movie-worn pair is currently at Prop Store, a movie memorabilia store and auction house. They decided to make the extremely rare pair of sneakers available via auction this Fall.

According to the Prop Store officials, the shoe is estimated to sell for around $32,000 to $45,000, which is kind of “low” since that’s around the same price range you’d have to pay for the auto-lacing system pair that dropped last year. Above you will see the OG pair. Do you think the estimated price is too low for a old worn pair of sneakers, or should it sell for more, considering the history behind it?
