Our First Look At The Nike Cortez Be True

This year’s Nike Sportswear Be True Collection will also include the classic Nike Cortez. Said to be releasing this Summer, today we get our first look at the Nike Cortez Be True.

For those of you who aren’t too familiar with the Nike Sportswear Be True Collection, it’s an annual collection of sneakers that support that LGBT community. An ongoing theme of many of the Be True has each pair come with a rainbow-themed color scheme and the Cortez you see above is no different. The Be True version of the Nike Cortez has the model dressed in a White nylon upper paired up with the Pure Platinum suede hits on the overlays. The shoe also comes with Black hits noted on the Swoosh as well as on the heel. What really makes the shoe pop and gives it that “Be True” feel is the multicolor stripe on the tongue. Nike will also provide you with 7 different colorful lace dubrae options to help give the shoe even more of a customized feel. Dropping sometime this Summer, stay tuned as more info and images of the shoe begin to surface.

The Next Set Of Nike Air Force 1 Tech Craft Releases Is Coming This Saturday

Think of the Nike Air Force 1 Tech Craft as the ‘Pinnacle’ version of Bruce Kilgore’s iconic basketball creation. The shoe had some serious fashion aspirations as it was introduced during Rochambeau’s NYFW Men’s runway show and features NikeLab updates in the form of premium leather, deconstructed ankle collars, and a ventilated side panel that adds a modernized touch to the mid-80s staple. The Nike Air Force 1 Tech Craft will return for the Spring 2017 season with a new Obsidian/University Red high-top option and a tan leather that’s more on the Clay side of the spectrum than all of those Timberland-inspired “Flax” looks. Inner sock lining also features vibrant accent shades with a unique foam insole textured with fractal elements for supreme comfort. Both colorways of the Nike Air Force 1 Tech Craft will be available this Saturday, May 27th at select retailers and on Nike.com.

Nike Unveils The LeBron Soldier 11 Prototype

“I hope that you’re the one, if not, you are the Prototype.” The debut Nike LeBron Soldier 11 colorway, first thought to be the “Strive For Greatness” option and now nicknamed the “Prototype” for its murdered-out black suede and mesh and simple icy outsole will release on May 31st for $140 USD. Nike Basketball refined past Soldier installments for the latest offering as the LeBron Soldier 11 benefits from not 1, not 2, not 3, but 4 protective lockdown straps now bolstered with a ribbed texture to coincide with a recurring triangular motif on the heel and outsole. Swoosh branding is almost camouflaged here on the midsole while the signature Dunkman logo is stitched onto the midfoot. Check out more detailed shots below and grab your pair from select retailers, Nike+, Nike SNKRS, and Nike.com next week.

Nike Cortez Be True Releasing This Summer

How often is the coolest part of a sneaker the lace dubraes? Not often, but that happens to be the case for the upcoming Nike Cortez Be True, as Nike Sportswear is proudly standing by their Equality campaign for the LGBTQ community for this special edition colorway slated to release later this Spring 2017 season. The Nike Cortez gets a rainbow-themed makeover that’s most notable on the multi-color stripe on the tongue expanding over the ‘Be True’ branded tag, a unique pink sock liner with an inscribed message that we can’t quite make out on these teaser photos, and 7 different ‘Be True’ lace dubrae options. As for the actual upper, the Cortez keeps things simple and refined thanks to a classic combination of white nylon and pure platinum suede while black Swoosh branding matches the midsole stripe and heel. Check out more preview images of the Cortez Be True below and be on the lookout for the entire Nike “Be True” 2017 Collection in the near future right here on Sneaker News.
