The Nike Air Force 1 Low Gets Woven
By SoleInsider
No, it’s not another Flyknit version of the Air Force 1, but the timeless silhouette does get woven in a different way for this latest construction. In the more traditional woven material that Nike has been using for years, the Air Force 1 Low receives the basket-weave-like paneling for this all-black colorway, also featuring leather and patent leather atop a contrasting white outsole. If you Air force 1 fans like what you see, find them arriving now at select Nike Sportswear retailers like Rock City Kicks.

Nike Unveils The Hiroshi Fujiwara-Designed Air Max LD-Zero H
By SoleInsider
Hiroshi Fujiwara’s sense of style is emphasized by tonal colors and the unmistakeable sleekness that aesthetic provides. It’s no wonder that almost all of his side-projects with Nike and NikeLab have become acclaimed hits, but the brand has only scratched the surface in terms of what H of HTM has to offer. Today, Nike unveils the Air Max LD-Zero H designed by Hiroshi. It makes use of the LD-1000 upper and the full-length Max Air outsole seen in the most contemporary Air Max models. Arriving in the signature navy/white colorway, the Air Max LD-Zero H will release tomorrow, March 19th exclusively on nike.com/airmax.
Earlier this week Nike released a pretty impressive Air Huarache Easter Pack that was designed exclusively for the ladies. As is the case many times with Huaraches, lots of guys were unhappy because they ONLY released in women’s sizes and they weren’t able to get a pair.
It’s not all bad news for the guys because a brand new colorway of the Nike Air Huarache has just surfaced, and don’t worry this one’s for you fellas. This new sleek Air Huarache is highlighted by black snake/python skin overlays that appear on the side panels and toe. The rest of the shoe is also done in a traditional black neoprene along with a contrasting white midsole and black rubber outsole.
You can find this Black Python colorway of the Nike Air Huarache at select Nike retailers now for a retail price of $120. What are your thoughts on this colorway?
It’s been quite some time since I’ve seen a colorway of the Nike Air Huarache that I’ve liked as much as I like this pair. The black python overlays give such a nice luxurious look to the shoe. I’ll definitely be trying to buy a pair.
On deck to release tomorrow is the next sneaker from the collection with the Nike Air Max BW Ultra that draws inspiration from the city of London. The mudguard on this BW Ultra is inspired by Victorian patterns and features London’s design heritage in black. The majority of the upper is then done in beige/tan while a white midsole provides some contrast.
Scheduled to release on March 18th at select Nike retailers and nike.com for a retail price of $150, will you be picking up the Nike WMNS Air Max BW Ultra London? Let us know down in the comments below.
Initially I wasn’t a fan of the Air Max BW Ultra judging from colorways that I’ve seen in the past. But this tan pair looks appealing thanks to the addition of the graphic mudguard. Not bad, not bad at all.
An Interview With Tiffany Beers, Senior Innovator For The Nike HyperAdapt 1.0
By SoleInsider
The name Tiffany Beers is one you’ve most certainly heard of before. She’s got one of the coolest titles within Nike – Senior Innovator – and her job is to uplift shoes to unthinkable levels. She started her career in Plastics, working for the Rubbermaid company, and somehow ended up under the wing of Tinker Hatfield, the greatest footwear designer and innovator in history. Once a protege of Tinker’s, Tiffany will most certainly carry the brand to the future, and her vision from within the Innovation Kitchen is a big reason why Nike continues to shatter convention and bring some revolutionary products to the main stage.
Releasing this weekend will be the first PE version of the Nike Kyrie 2 with this Duke colorway that pays homage to the place that Kyrie called home before he was drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The Nike Kyrie 2 Duke PE comes dressed in a predominantly Black upper with Game Royal detailing on the outsole and branding on the tongue, heel and strap. Reflect Silver then covers the Nike Swoosh on the midsole, as well as the Kyrie and number branding on the tongues and the DUKE branding on each heel. For those of you that care, the Duke writing on the heel will also be reflective so it’ll give off a nice shine when hit by the light.
You’ll be able to purchase the Nike Kyrie 2 Duke PE right on time for March Madness when it hits nike.com and select Nike retailers on March 19th for $120.
With March Madness kicking off this week the timing for this Duke colorway couldn?t be better. If you?re a fan of Duke then I definitely recommend picking up a pair. I?m not so these will be a pass for me.
Nike Reveals Gilas Pilipinas (Philippines) 2016 Olympics Uniform
By SoleInsider
Day 2 of the Nike Innovation Summit is under way in New York City and one of the highlights so far is the reveal of the uniforms that the Men’s and Women’s USA Basketball Olympic squads will be wearing in Rio this summer. Kevin Durant – wearing the new Nike KD 9 of course – and Elena Delle Donne were in attendance to show off the new gear.
Along with Team USA, several other countries were also represented, including China, Canada, Brazil and more. But the real highlight for me was the reveal of the Gilas Pilipinas (Philippines) uniform in both home white and road blues. We did it, people. We’re on the main stage.
@kustoo
Revealed yesterday to the public, the Nike Vapor basketball uniform concept will feature a slimmer fit that allows for base layer options like sleeves and compression gear that doesn’t impede a player’s performance. The Gilas jersey features updated fonts, colors and numbering. Although we didn’t see it in action, the iridescent name and numbers will actually appear and disappear based on how the light bends respective to the athlete.
Gilas Pilipinas – led by former NBA player Andray Blatche (no, seriously) – will wear the uniforms in July as they try to qualify for a spot in Rio at the 2016 FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournamte in Manila. The Philippines is grouped with France, New Zealand, Canada, Senegal and Turkey.
While the road for Gilas will be tough in 2016, I’m already looking ahead to 2020 when thesetwo will suit up for senior team.
Someone really needs to talk to them about their hair though…
The Nike Air Huarache’s tenure as Nike Sportswear’s go-to model is probably over. The silhouette has since been replaced by the likes of other Huarache silhouettes that showcase new technology and modern revamps, but that doesn’t mean that Tinker Hatfield’s 1991 classic isn’t still very much a part of the magic that happens over at NSW. The move has afforded the Swoosh with opportunities to dress up the retro in a number of lifestyle looks like this recent “Black Snakeskin” drop. Synthetic snake leather hits the overlays for a bold finish while a more traditional black neoprene makes up the majority of the upper for that signature slip-on comfort. Be sure to check out more photos below and grab your pair right now via Rock City Kicks.
Heres What Kevin Durant Had To Say About The Nike KD 9
By SoleInsider
Not even twenty-four hours removed from pulverizing the Boston Celtics, Kevin Durant is back to work. Today, for Day of Nike’s Innovation For Everybody event in New York City, KD clocked in some key hours with Nike to debut the new system of dress for Team USA basketball and to speak with media about his new signature shoe, the Nike KD 9. Durant’s a veteran of the signature shoe game, and with nine shoes under his belt, there’s not many individuals out there who understand the shoe production process as thoroughly as he does. Without further ado, here’s a short interview with Kevin Durant with a group of media.
Which Pair From The Nike Air Force 1 Low J Pack Has A Better Look
By SoleInsider
The say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. If that’s the case then the Air Jordan 1 is on full-blush mode right about now. The Nike Air Force 1 Low J Pack is inspired by none other than the Air Force 1 and pays its respects by coming in the same colorway and color blocking as the classic Jordan silhouette.
The Air Force 1 Low comes dressed in a leather upper coming in either the Royal or Bred color scheme. As you can see on the images above, the same color blocking is also used on the shoe to mimic the look to the exact specifications. Nike branding is seen on the tongue and heel, while a white midsole and tonal outsole complete the look. Said to be dropping sometime in the Spring/Summer we’re hoping that it’s only a matter of time before you can get your hands on a pair.
The shoe is cool. I just see the point of it. Jordan Brand recently came out with an Air Jordan 1 Low in the Bred and Royal colorway. If you want the look if the Air Jordan, why not just get the actual pair?
Nike Just Released The St. Patricks Day Colorway Of The Nike Air Force 1 High OG
By SoleInsider
First and foremost we want to wish all of our readers out there a Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Now if you want to buy a fresh pair of green kicks, Nike just made these St. Patrick’s Day Air Force 1s available.
Previewed on the sight earlier this week, this colorway of the Nike Air Force 1 High OG definitely has some St. Patty’s Day vibes to it thanks to the white leather upper combined with the Pine Green detailing on the Swoosh, ankle strap, outsole and the Nike Air branding on the tongue and heel.
Readily available now on nike.com for $120, will you be scooping up a pair?
I don’t own more than a couple of pairs of green shoes, but this Air Force 1 is a pair that I wouldn’t mind adding to my collection. The only things I’d have to do is buy more green clothes to match with the kicks.
