Nike Marks The Return Of Instant Happiness With The Presto Ultra Flyknit

Nike Sportswear is proud to present the next evolution of their iconic Presto line with the introduction of the Nike Air Presto Ultra Flyknit. The Nike Air Presto debuted in 2000 with a futuristic design and attention-grabbing ad campaign that was noteworthy for being one of the first times that crazy colorway names adorned a particular sneaker. As if that wasn’t enough, the Presto was marketed as a t-shirt for your feet and came equipped with t-shirt sizing instead of the usual numeric system. All of that wouldn’t have mattered if the shoe wasn’t incredibly comfortable though, and now a decade and a half later, the Presto line is as relevant as ever. The Nike Presto Flyknit utilizes the woven technology complete with a stretch collar while the iconic TPU cage overlay adds signature Presto style cues. For the first time ever, the Nike Air Presto will come in a mid-top silhouette for a modernized aesthetic. 5 monochromatic colorways will debut this Spring 2016 season, all of which can be viewed below. The Nike Air Presto Ultra Flyknit will arrive via Nike SNKRS on April 28th followed by a global release on nike.com/sportswear and at select Nike shops on May 5th.

Fun With NIKEiD: 24 Nike Kobe 11 #MambaDay Designs

Welp, it’s all over. No, I meant Kobe Bryant’s career (as far as we know), not the #MambaDay option on NIKEiD; there’s still time to do the latter. I would know because when I put my order in last night I got a confirmation saying I might get it by the end of the month… of June.

For the first time since the Nike Kobe 9 dropped a multicolor option on NIKEiD, the sneaker world has been feverishly trying to put together designs for their #MambaDay sneaker. With a two upper options to choose from (solid and stats) and a relatively simple color palette that recalls basically Kobe and the Lakers (not sure why there’s Metallic Silver and Cool Grey but whatever). Sure, it won’t have the resale value of the Black Mamba Pack, but that’s not the point of making the shoes (at least I hope it isn’t for most people).

Depending on when you’re reading this, you have less than ten hours to go to make your pair and hopefully get it by Christmas. Here are some samples to get you started in this Mamba-filled edition of Fun With NIKEiD. The Gum sole is very underutilized.

An Initial Look At The Nike Kobe 11 Muse Pack

Nike Kobe 11 6 Nike Kobe 11 Nike Kobe 11 1 Nike Kobe 11 2 Nike Kobe 11 3 Nike Kobe 11 4 Nike Kobe 11 5

With Kobe Bryant?s historic basketball career ending yesterday, April 13, scoring 60 points in a win, today a new tribute to the Black Mamba is showcased in the form of this Nike Kobe 11 Muse Pack.

Essentially connected with the Swoosh’s iconic design pioneers such as President & CEO Mark Parker, Eric Avar and Tinker Hatfield, the range includes three corresponding pairs that honors Bryant, which dates back to the Huarache 2K4 — the first sneaker he wore after signing with Nike in 2003 and eventually leading to his own signature line.

Featured first consists of the “Avar Muse” aka “Brave Blue” colorway, which takes cues on the Yosemite National Park?s ?El Capitan? rock formation. The model’s blue hues represent the sky and water seen from the California summit, while the taupe collar lining and outsole mimic the textured granite formation.

Finished off with boot laces as a nod to the outdoors and hiking, the model is now available at select retail locations in limited quantities for $200.

Stay tuned in to KicksOnFire for release details on the upcoming Tinker Hatfield (black/red) and Mark Parker (black/blue) pairs.

Also, enjoy the video below!

It’s a cool tribute and I’m liking the overall colorways. Out of the three, I’d have to side with Avar, then Hatfield.

Releasing Later This Summer Is The Nike Air Max 1 Flyknit Ultra

NIKE AIR MAX 1 ULTRA FLYKNIT 2 NIKE AIR MAX 1 ULTRA FLYKNIT 1

Just like the Air Force 1 received the Flyknit Ultra treatment earlier this year, Nike will be doing the same exact thing with the Nike Air Max 1.

The Nike Air Max 1, considered by many the best Air Max silhouette of all, will be stripped down even further and made even lighter thanks to a Flyknit upper and Ultra midsole/outsole. The Nike Air Max 1 Flyknit Ultra does not yet have a release date but up above we can see what the shoe will look like as the new upper will be composed of a combination of Flyknit and textile with Flywire for added support. The outsole will also be modified to make the shoe lighter and more comfortable.

No exact release date is know yet but the Nike Air Max 1 Flyknit Ultra is expected to release some time this Summer. Are you liking the new look?

Author’s Take

These are not the best images for me to give a good opinion on the shoe, but I can’t say that I’m too excited about them so far. I I’d like to see better pictures.
