An Air Jordan XXX For True Chicago Bulls Fans

The Air Jordan XXX has been well-represented throughout these NBA playoffs thanks to the likes of Russell Westbrook, Kawhi Leonard, LeMarcus Aldridge and more. Now Russ is the last to don the most recent Jordan Brand signature model, and we’ll see plenty of it with the start of what’s poised to be an insanely competitive Western Conference Finals tonight. PEs aside, the Jumpman is slated to return to the brand’s roots with this Air Jordan 30 “Chicago Bulls” colorway featuring the timeless combination of Gym Red and Black throughout the woven upper. The well-received silhouette has managed to keep graphic-heavy releases to a minimum this season, and instead has opted for subtle gradients, unique worldly patches on the tongue, and icy outsoles. This Jordan XXX will hit retailers this Saturday, May 21st for $200 USD. More detailed photos below.

Get Ready For This Classic Air Jordan 5

Air Jordan 5 1 Air Jordan 5 Air Jordan 5 2 Air Jordan 5 3

The original Air Jordan 5 in Black/Metallic Silver is scheduled to make a return once again this season, as more images of the forthcoming model continue to be unveiled.

Notably one of the brand?s more popular offerings, the iconic sneaker is simply adored due to its versatile palette. Black consists as its dominating tone, which is utilized for its nubuck upper, while accents of Grey are implemented on the signature netting and reflective tongue. In addition, shimmering silver is prominent on the jagged midsole component, which also incorporates subtle Black speckling to perfectly coordinate with the color scheme.

Standout details include the original ?Nike Air? logo seen on the heel, unlike the typical Jumpman logo, fire red accents on the tongue and lace locks. All adhered atop an icy translucent outsole, you can purchase this pair at select JB and Nike accounts on July 23 for a retail price tag of $220.

Sneaker Grails: Carmelo Anthonys Air Jordan 12 Player Exclusives

The release of the Air Jordan 12 GS University Blue (shameless plug: check out our launch page for all the latest information) comes with a lot of emotional baggage. On one side, it’s great that Jordan Brand is releasing genuine heat exclusively in kid’s and women’s sizes so that they have something to brag about. On the other side, there’s a lot of sad dudes out there who have been waiting on a retro of this colorway for a long time since they first debuted during the 2003-04 NBA season on the feet of Carmelo Anthony. And then there’s my side, a fan of the Air Jordan 12 and the University Blue color but wouldn’t really consider himself a ‘Melo guy (love the M9s though).

As the original Jordan Brand “student”, Anthony has been fortunate enough to not only receive a signature shoe but also a collection of Air Jordan player exclusives that would make any Jordan stan tear up. Early on in his career, he rocked mostly Denver Nuggets-themed Jordans like the Air Jordan 2 and Air Jordan 20, but the ones that always caught my eyes were his Air Jordan 12s. Since the 12s are my second favorite pair of Js, I was pumped to hear that we would get a retail release of the same pairs – sans any Nuggets gold – he wore on the court. Sadly, this was during my college years so even if I did want a pair, I wasn’t always in a position to afford them. Education and beer money got in the way.

So I’ve waited for another shot at 12s in University Blue ever since and in that time, we’ve seen other University Blue colorways (I also missed out on the Black Nubuck 12s) pale imitators (I despise the Gamma Blue 12s) and numerous ‘Melo Air Jordan 12 player exclusives pop up either through the man himself or on sneaker blogs and eBay. In this edition of Sneaker Grails, here’s a look back at a handful of ‘Melo PEs that would be nice to own.

The next grade school variation of the Air Jordan 12 is set to debut very soon, as more detailed imagery of the silhouette is presented.

Composed of pristine white leather across its upper, the defining hues is prominent on outsole, rear section, inner lining, pull tabs, outsole and branding on the tongue to punctuate its simplistic two-tone color scheme.

Further detailed with metallic gold eyelets for more vibrancy and lavish flair, the sneaker finished off with matching white laces. Other notable design elements include miniature branded panels on the sides, while the texture on the leather mudguard is a bit more cohesive, compared to the majority of its upper component. In addition, more branding is prominent on the heel.

Retailing for a price tag of $140, you can find the model at select JB and Nike stockists on Saturday, May 21st.

The Air Jordan 12 Melo Releases This Weekend

Many fans of the Air Jordan 12 were excited to see that the “Melo” colorway was returning. But it turns out that there’s a catch. The white and light blue colorway that originally released in 2004 and was worn by Carmelo Anthony in personalized PE editions will only be returning in Gradeschool Girls sizing. All the large-footed collectors that were expecting to be able to grab a fresh pair are unfortunately left out in the cold, but they’ll be a special treat indeed for the young ladies this weekend when they hit select Jordan Brand retailers like Sneaker Politics.

Action Bronson Doesnt Wear Jordans Because Of A Personal Issue With MJ Himself

Action Bronson, one of the more colorful hip-hop personas in the game, has perhaps the most diverse sneaker rotation among rap celebrities. We fondly remember the Queens native, who has branched out from mixtapes to food and culture shows, wearing the Concepts x New Balance 999 “Kennedy” in Strictly 4 My Jeeps, but if you follow Mr. Wonderful on his various media channels, you’ll see that he wears a bevy of sneakers that you just don’t see other people wearing. In this latest edition of Sneaker Shopping with Complex, Action discusses his love for New Balance and the Ultra Boost and even reveals why he doesn’t wear Air Jordans because of a personal issue with MJ himself. Bring your torso to the full video below.

Another Air Jordan 2 Low is rumored to be releasing, and it has a release that’s actually right around the corner. Inspired by Michael Jordan’s alma mater, here is the first look at the Air Jordan 2 Low UNC.

The shoe starts off with a White tumbled leather upper. The all-white aesthetic is broken up by accompanying it with hits of University Blue and Midnight Navy accents placed in areas such as the lining, heel region, branding, outsole and the heel wrap. Author’s Take

I’m pretty sure many people would have loved this color on the Air Jordan 2 instead of the Air Jordan 2 Low. Regardless, it’s a solid colorway that will probably still garner a substantial amount of attention.

Early Stages Of The Jordan Westbrook 0.2

Jordan Westbrook 0.2 1 Jordan Westbrook 0.2 2

Here is a super early look of what is said to be the Jordan Westbrook 0.2. The shoe will be Russell Westbrook’s second Jordan Brand signature, and just like the first one, this pair will also be an off-court model.

Although it’s hard to tell exactly what the shoe will end up looking like based off of these drawings/sketches, we do notice features on the shoe such as the higher cut compared to the first Westbrook shoe. We can also see that there is multi-paneled construction and a toebox that appears to be more round. Westbrook branding appear on the tongue, and Jumpman branding can be seen on the heel. If they end up looking like something that resembles this, would you be happy with the results? Let us know what you think about the early stages of the Jordan Westbrook 0.2.
