The 2016 U.S. Men’s Basketball Team was announced yesterday and Jimmy Butler is one of the players who has been selected to represent for the red, white and blue when the squad heads over to Rio for the 2016 Summer Olympics.

Butler along with Carmelo Anthony are the only Jordan Brand athletes on the team as other players like Blake Griffin, Russell Wetbrook, Kawhi Leonard and Chris Paul – who are all signed to Jordan Brand – will not be a part of this year’s team. In an interview with Sole Collector yesterday, lots of NBA players announced what sneakers they would be wearing throughout the Olympics. Jimmy Butler dropped a bomb on us by announcing that he will be debuting the Air Jordan 31 in Rio.

The Air Jordan 31 was rumored to be releasing as early as September but there is still no confirmation. Who’s excited?

Jordan Brand has been breaking new ground the last couple of years by opening new retail stores in Chicago in 2015 and in Toronto earlier this year during All Star Weekend.

If you thought that 3016 Yonge was international, Jordan Brand will really be taking things to the next level as they plan on opening a new store in Dubai. The store, which will be known as DXB23, will be located in the Dubai Mall in the United Arab Emirates.

The Nike Middle East Twitter account made the announcement earlier this month and when searching through the #DXB23 hashtag on Twitter we see that June 29th has been mentioned as a possible grand opening date. At the moment there has been no confirmation or announcement from Jordan Brand/Nike yet.

The upcoming gradeschool rendition of the Air Jordan 12 consists of a vibrant Hyper Jade finish, which is set to make its official debut in a few more days.

Aside from its exclusive GS variation, the basketball silhouette will also be offered in a much smaller GP sizing, as showcased in the gallery above. Flaunting a two-tone combination of black for its nubuck upper, the inner lining, pull tabs, rear section, leather forefoot and outsole rendered in the defining hue to cap it all off.

Furthermore, subtle grey accents adorn the miniature branded side panels and metallic silver on the upper eyelets round out the design.

With GS sizes listed at $140, you can purchase this GP pair for $80. Availability is set on Saturday, July 2nd at select Nike and JB stockists.

For this year?s Quai 54 event, which is an annual streetball tournament in Paris, JB and Nike have joined forces once again to create a special series of footwear to commemorate the occasion, which is highlighted by the classic Air Jordan 2.

Joining alongside the AJ 2 will be another variation of the Jordan Reveal, as well as the standout AJ 30 Cosmos. Furthermore, an exclusive rendition of the Nike Kobe 11 and Flyknit Air Force 1 are also suggested to offered.

The release date for the AJ 2 is listed for July 22, while the AJ 30 Cosmos and Kobe 11 is set on July 9th. Furthermore, the Jordan Reveal and Air Force 1 Flyknit is scheduled to debut on July 16th.

Originally debuted back in 1999, this classic colorway of the Air Jordan 14 will be revived once again as part of JB’s extensive lineup for Spring/Summer 2016.

So not only did Fat Joe wear an exclusive white and gold Air Jordan 8 for the BET Awards last night, but there was also another pair that didn’t quite make it the Los Angeles.

Joe posted on his Instagram the Air Jordan 8 that you see above which features an all-black upper with a “TS” logo on the tongue which stands for his Terror Squad label, as well as lace dubraes with his face on them. The caption on the picture reads “Ok look. These were mine for a couple hours. damn baggage claim stole them in Vegas. I don’t blame you they are 1of1. sorry Reggie I guess I gotta charge it to the game #teamjordan#allthewayup #ripconfettis.” As you can see from the picture above it appears that this is the Air Jordan 8 Confetti that released over the weekend with a few alterations. The confetti print on the inside of the tongue is proof.

Looks like someone at the airport noticed just how exclusive these were and wanted them for themselves.
