Remember The Jordan Training Shoe That Everyone Thought Was The Next Air Jordan Its Releasing

Remember when we thought this shoe was the Air Jordan XXX? Part of that was due to the mysterious way that Marcus Jordan posted the model on social media, leaving plenty of people to speculate on what the next signature Jordan model would look like. Luckily, it’s just Jordan Brand’s take on a lifestyle training crossover model belonging to the Jordan Trunner series. Part training model, part running silhouette, this anonymous Trunner adds cusual qualities in the form of a synthetic croc-skin midfoot strap and mudguard, a functional and breathable mesh throughout the upper, and speckling across the cushioned midsole unit. No word yet on a release date, but today we get a preview of three upcoming colorways, including a “Red October” vibe. What do you think of Jordan Brand’s latest? Check out more photos below.

The Air Jordan 14 Oxidized Green Returns Tomorrow After More Than A Decade

Air Jordan 14 Air Jordan 14 2 Air Jordan 14 1

Originally debuted back in 1999, this OG colorway of the Air Jordan 14 will finally be available to the public this weekend — seventeen years later.

Essentially a remastered takes, the model stays true to its original counterpart as the Ferrari 550M-inspired basketball sneaker is comprised of smooth/tumbled white leather for its upper, which is solidified by contrasting black accents implemented on the midsole, tongue, inner lining and laces to cap off the simple two-tone palette. The sneaker is further pronounced with hits of legend blue and green across its entirety, while Jumpman symbols located on the shield, two metal-tip laces, sole, heel, toe box, and insoles round out the distinguishable details.

Retailing for $190, you can purchase the model at select Nike and JB retailers tomorrow, Saturday, July 16th. GS sizes (3.5y ? 7y) will be offered and listed at $140.

Author’s Take

The color combo is essentially a classic, but I?m not really fond of this model. Although it hasn?t been seen since ?99, I?m sure fans of the silhouette are elated for the revival.

Bearing similarities to Ray Allen?s Championship PE, this luxe variation of the Air Jordan 11 Low is now showcased in more detail, following its official reveal.

With its shimmering gold hue correlating to the first-place medals given out during the Summer 2016 Olympics, which will take place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (August 5 – 21), the defining tone is also complemented with white leather utilized for the remainder of its upper for additional premium flair. Further detailed with black accents on the tongue and inner lining, the model is topped off with a clean, white midsole unit and icy translucent outsole that’s treated with a hint of blue.

The sneaker is suggested to debut at select Nike and JB retailers sometime in September for a price tag of $170.

Author’s Take

I?m not that really into the silhouette in a low-cut profile aside from the recent varsity red and navy/gum colorways, but, I like this style even more in this finish. I also like how leather is applied on the upper.

This Air Jordan 2 Was Made To Look Like A #2 Pencil

Air Jordan 2 1 Air Jordan 2 2 Air Jordan 2 3 Air Jordan 2 4 Air Jordan 2 5 Air Jordan 2 6 Air Jordan 2 7 Air Jordan 2 8 Air Jordan 2 9

Do you remember back in school when teachers made you use a #2 pencil to take tests on scantrons because supposedly that’s the only lead that the machines were able to read? The pencil usually came in an orange/yellow color with a pink eraser at the top and a silver plastic around the eraser.

D’Wayne Edwards and the team over at over at Pensole Footwear Design Academy decided to create an Air Jordan 2 that looks exactly like a #2 pencil. Seen in the pictures above, this Air Jordan 2 features a golden yellow upper with a pink inner liner. The shoes also includes pink rubberized lace aglets. Metallic piping has also been added to represent the “ferrule” of a pencil, or the metal piece that holds the eraser in place. Black detailing on the heel counter, an off-white midsole and a grey outsole complete the look on this Air Jordan 2 that is currently on display at Deadstock Coffee in Portland, Oregon. There are no plans to release these to the public yet but let’s keep our fingers crossed and hope that changes.

Author’s Take

Super dope. Having gone to school for 17 years of my life (so far) I’m very familiar with a #2 pencil. I think the people at Pensole did an amazing job with this Air Jordan 2.

Not only will Jordan Brand be bringing back the Air Jordan 14 Oxidized Green this weekend, the Jumpman will also be dropping a new colorway of the Air Jordan 1 Low No Swoosh.

Having made its debut earlier this year in three different colorways, this new low top version of the modified Air Jordan 1 Low features a White tumbled leather upper this time around. The immediately recognizable Swoosh branding from the side panels has been removed to give the shoe more of a lifestyle/luxurious look. However we do see Nike Air branding on the tongue and the Wings logo on the heel. Waxed laces and gold lace aglets have been added to go along with the premium look of the shoe.

Let us know in the comments below if you plan on scooping up a pair when they release on July 16 for a retail price of $150. Head over to our Air Jordan 1 Low No Swoosh White launch page for additional images, release information and other updates.

I considered buying the black or olive pair earlier this year and I’m just not feeling this all-white colorway. These are a pass for me.

Next we’ll be seeing the return of a classic sneaker in its true and original form. I’m talking about the Air Jordan 5 in the OG Black/Metallic Silver colorway.

This original colorway of the Air Jordan 5 will be making its grand return on July 23rd with the beloved Nike Air branding on the heels. Part of Jordan Brand’s new remastered initiative, this Air Jordan 5 features a Black nubuck upper with Fire Red detailing on the branding on the tongue and the lace locks. Metallic Silver then appears on the shark teeth on the midsole as well as on the 3M tongue. Other details include the clear mesh netting on the side panels, Nike Air on the heels, and an icy blue translucent outsole.

Releasing on July 23rd for $220, is this a must cop or an easy pass for you? Let us know down below and make sure to click and bookmark our official Air Jordan 5 OG 90 Black/Metallic Silver 2016 launch page now for more images, info and release details.

Author’s Take

The quality on this Air Jordan 5 doesn’t even look all that great so I don’t think that $220 price tag is justifiable. I’ve always wanted this colorway of the Air Jordan 5, but I’ll have to pass on these.

Here’s a not so bold prediction: The Air Jordan 6 Pinnacle Metallic Gold will be the flashiest Air Jordan release of 2016. Being that the shoe is covered in a Metallic Gold motif, it’s pretty hard to bet against that.

Considered a Air Jordan Pinnacle release, this special version of the Air Jordan 6 will come dressed in a combination of Metallic Gold and White. The shiny Metallic Gold upper is nicely contrasted by the White detailing found on the lining, tongue, midsole and pull tab. It also comes with an icy translucent outsole as well as with tonal branding and laces. No exact release date yet, but we do know what the Air Jordan 6 Pinnacle Metallic Gold is scheduled to release sometime during the holiday season. Hot or too much? Ned more info? Make sure you visit our Air Jordan 6 Pinnacle Metallic Gold hub page for all the latest news and images of the shoe.

These look like they belong in a trophy case, not on my feet. It’s cool, just a little too flashy for my taste.

This December, Jordan Brand will be bringing back the beloved Air Jordan 9 Retro OG White Black True Red. If you’re a fan of the 9s, this has to be considered a must-have in your collection.

The Air Jordan 9 Retro OG White Black True Red is classified as a Retro OG release for the simple fact that it will come with ‘Nike Air’ branding on it. While you may not be able to see it once you put the shoe on, real OG enthusiasts will appreciate the fact that it comes with Nike Air-branded insoles. Coming in a White, Black and Red colorway, the majority of the shoe is made out of leather to give the shoe its subtle aesthetic. Additional branding can be spotted on the heel, tongue and sole unit. Author’s Take

Not really a big fan of the 9s. Glad to see the shoe make a return for fans of the model, but it’s definitely not a shoe for me. Nothing appears to stand out on the shoe. Very generic looking in my opinion.
