Decent colorway of the Air Jordan 12 but there’s nothing about it that makes me feel like I need it. I’ll pass on these.

Air Jordan 5 Gold Tongue Releasing As Rio Olympics Come To A Close

By the time this shoe releases, Team USA will have racked up plenty of gold medals at the Olympics in Rio. For all of us Air Jordan fans who aren’t world-class athletes, we can still get some gold of our own with the all-new “gold medal” edition of the Air Jordan 5. With the 2016 Olympics kicking off this past weekend, Jordan Brand started things off with a bang by releasing the Air Jordan 7 Tinker Alternate. While this upcoming weekend there won’t be any Olympic-themed releases, next week there will be.

JB will be giving us a brand new colorway of the Air Jordan 5 that takes inspiration from the prized gold medal. This Air Jordan 5 features a white leather upper with black accents on the upper eyelets, inner liner, midsole, and the Jumpman branding on the tongue and heel. What captures everyone’s attention are the hits of Metallic Gold that cover the tongue, lace lock, and the shark teeth on the midsole. Author’s Take

If the tongue wasn’t patent leather/glossy I’m pretty sure I would have bought these. I love the combination of black and gold but that shiny tongue just makes these look too extravagant.

The Air Jordan 31 USA Hits Stores This Week

The wait is almost over. Jordan Brand’s rollout of the Air Jordan 31 featured both an international theme in honor of the Rio Olympics and an homage to the past given the inspiration behind the latest Jordan signature – the iconic Air Jordan 1. This Wednesday, August 10th, The Jordan XXX1 will debut in both a patriotic “USA” colorway and a “Brazil” look at select retailers.

The Jordan 31 is the third straight signature Jumpman model to champion a Flywave woven upper, but this time around, the contours of the silhouette are more lifestyle friendly than ever, taking design cues from the Air Jordan 1. You can find the similarities most notably on the ankle collar and tongue, but the colorways are what truly help this model stand out. The Air Jordan 31 “USA” utilizes a simple white base while accents of University Red and a Deep Royal Blue adds a clean finish.

The Jordan 31 “Brazil” has already released at select international retailers, but stateside availability is overdue. A vibrant touch of royal blue fades into a Volt-like gradient for a vibrant colorway in honor of the Olympics host country. Are you a fan of either colorway?

The Jordan XXX1 “USA” Olympic pair will release on August 10th for $185 USD. Stay updated on more Jordan release dates right here on Sneaker News.

The Wolf Grey Air Jordan 12 Releases This Weekend

The Air Jordan 12 has released this year in more colorways than ever, featured in a great selection of originals and all-new colorways alike. Even with all the options already out there for the twelfth Air Jordan this year, this grade school exclusive colorway is still going to make a few adults jealous that they won’t be able to fit into a pair. Indeed, this new “Wolf Grey” colorway in a clean and simple white and grey upper looks good enough to be released in full family sizing, but unfortunately for us larger-footed Air Jordan fans, that won’t be the case. For those that can fit into a pair, don;t forget that the Air Jordan 12 “Wolf Grey” drops this Saturday, August 13th at Jordan Brand retailers like Sneaker Politics.

Train Like Michael Jordan Did With The Jordan Breakfast Club

Flashback to 1989. Michael Jordan was yet to be an NBA champion, falling season after season to the dreaded Eastern Conference combination of the Bad Boy-era Detroit Pistons and Larry Bird’s legendary Boston Celtics. That offseason, Jordan was depleted and had hit a wall that he couldn’t quite break through. It was stopping him from accomplishing his dream of winning an NBA championship. So what did MJ do? He developed his patented Jordan Breakfast Club training regiment.

Michael would show up early for pre-practice one-on-one workouts with his personal trainer. Together they focused on strength and weight lifting to combat the extra physicality the game was bringing in the late 80s. Then his teammates began to join the early workout sessions, often times starting as early as 7:00 AM.

The Jordan Breakfast Club would go on to build the foundation of the work ethic that created the Chicago Bulls’ six NBA titles. ?Breakfast Club was a mindset more than a workout,? Jordan said. ?We wanted to be more prepared than anyone else.?

Jordan Brand Re-releases The Neymar x Air Jordan 5 Low

Jordan Brand’s been pushing the boundaries of where the Jumpman logo can go. Not only has the brand started representing the University of Michigan football, but they’ve also enlisted world-famous soccer star Neymar for a collaboration that hit retailers in limited numbers this past June. Now we have some good news: the Neymar Jordan 5 Low just re-released on Nike SNKRS.

The Air Jordan 5 Low “Neymar” paired a head-turning Reflect Silver upper with the timeless vibrancy of Infrared 23. What resulted was a speckled-heavy Air Jordan 5 Low complete with no.10 and no.23 stitched onto the heel in honor of both Neymar and Michael Jordan. An icy outsole added a new-aged finish to the premium low-top release priced at a gaudy $200 USD. If you missed out on your chance to grab the Neymar Jordan 5, you can pick up your pair today via Nike SNKRS.

Air Jordan 1 High Red Velvet Releasing As Part Of Upcoming Heiress Collection

Jordan Brand will be releasing more kids-only heat with the upcoming “Heiress Pack” aimed at bringing a grade school girl’s collection of premium themed signatures. It all starts with the Jordan 1 Red Velvet, a pair that transforms the Air Jordan 1 High into a red-carpet worthy offering.

The Air Jordan 1 High “Red Velvet” brings Mike’s iconic first signature up to date with a transformation through the use of burgundy velvet panels and metallic gold ‘Wings’ branding. The look could rival the “Pinnacle” releases if it were actual 24K gold. Matching Swoosh branding adds a contrasting leather material to the mix for added depth.

There’s no word yet on a release date for the upcoming Air Jordan 1 Red Velvet, but you can expect this grade school exclusive to arrive sometime during the debut of the Fall/Winter 2016 “Heiress Collection”. Stay tuned for more Jordan release date updates right here on Sneaker News.

The Air Jordan 12 GS Barons Drops This Weekend

Air Jordan 12 2 Air Jordan 12 Air Jordan 12 3 Air Jordan 12 1

This new colorway of the Air Jordan 12 GS is expected to make its arrival soon, as lifestyle images of the basketball silhouette are now showcased.

Dipped in a traditional palette of white/grey, the color scheme is reminiscent of MJ?s days with the Birmingham Barons in 1994, which is essentially a minor league baseball team and Double-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox major-league club.

Comprised of leather for its upper, the clean makeup is pronounced with hits of black notably evident on the upper eyelets, side panels, tongue, heel tabs and branding on the rear.

Retailing for $140, fans can purchase a pair at select Nike and JB retailers starting August 13th.

Is An Air Jordan Retro Michigan Collection In The Works

As some of you may know, Nike and Jordan Brand have a sponsorship deal with the University of Michigan. With that being the case, it appear as if this sponsorship will include a Air Jordan Retro Michigan Collection!

What you see above is an image that shows part of a poster that shows a complete Air Jordan Retro collection made up of Michigan colorways. A Maize and Blue color scheme cover all of your favorite Jordan retros. There’s a good chance that some of the football players will be rocking these this upcoming season, but to be quite honest, I’d be more pumped if Jordan Brand decided to release these to the public. Who would like to see these release? Let us know in the comments below.
