The golden Jordan Brand retro releases will continue this upcoming weekend despite the 2016 Summer Olympics officially coming to an end yesterday. Up next to get the golden treatment is the Air Jordan 11.

Since it is still Summer, Jordan Brand decided to go with the Air Jordan 11 Low for this release as the shoe is covered in a White tumbled leather upper that is beautifully contrasted by a Metallic Gold patent leather mudguard that is representative of victory during the Olympic games. Additional gold hits have been added on the branding on the tongue and heel while a Black inner liner adds some more contrast. An icy blue outsole wraps up this retro release that is scheduled to release on August 27th for $170. Kids sizing in 3.5Y – 7Y will also be available and will retail for $130.

Author’s Take

I was a fan of these 11s when I first saw them but then I realized that if I were to buy them I probably wouldn’t wear them that much. I’ll just save my $170 and pick up the Bred 1s next week instead.

Details Behind The Air Jordan 1 Top Three aka What The

Earlier today we gave you news of a release date of the Air Jordan 1 mash-up briefly dubbed the “What The” Air Jordan 1. Jordan Brand confirms that this upcoming release is actually called the Air Jordan 1 “Top 3” and features color detailing from the three most iconic AJ1s of all-time – the “Banned”, the “Chicago”, and the “Royal”. The number 3 is also a nod to Jordan’s third overall selection in the 1984 NBA Draft by the Chicago Bulls. According to Foot Locker Europe, the Air Jordan 1 “Top Three” is slated for a release on November 28th, 2016.

Cop The Air Jordan 1 Banned Early

Next Saturday, September 3rd, Jordan Brand is bringing back one of their most iconic sneakers in the Jordan 1 Banned, but you won’t have to wait that long if you head over to eBay today. 2016’s rendition of the pair that was infamously banned by the NBA for not including enough white throughout the colorway by 1985 standards, comes equipped with a remastered upper complete with tumbled leather on the toecap and the Swoosh branding.

The Air Jordan 1 “Banned” promises to be one of the biggest releases in the Jumpman’s 2016 release slate not only because of the historical implications that come with this pair, but also due to the quality control included in this year’s release. It wasn’t that long ago that Jordan Brand announced their Remastering program that would pay extra attention to detail on molds and factory completion to give you a better retro release. That methodology appears to have paid off with this “Banned” release as the traditional Varsity Red and Black combination benefits from OG Wings branding on the ankle collar, ‘Nike Air’ tongue tags, and more.

Are you excited about the return of the Air Jordan 1 Banned? Be sure to check out more detailed shots below and head over to eBay to secure your size today.

What The Air Jordan 1 Releasing After Black Friday

Jordan Brand continues to pay homage to the legacy of the Air Jordan 1 with a number of classic colorways releasing throughout 2016, and even their latest Air Jordan XXX1 model is heavily inspired by Michael Jordan’s first signature silhouette. But perhaps the most interesting Air Jordan 1 related story will be the release of the Air Jordan 1 “What The” on November 28th.

The eclectic “What The” style was first introduced to the world by Nike Basketball with all-over prints and patterns referencing past colorways from the lines of LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Kobe Bryant. The Jordan 1 What The has received plenty of Photoshopped concepts but we haven’t seen the actual colorway just yet. The “What The” Air Jordan 1 joins the likes of the Air Jordan 6 “Black Cat”, Air Jordan 11 “Space Jam”, and Air Jordan 3 “True Blue” for a rather busy upcoming Holiday 2016 season for the Jumpman. Are you excited about the concept? We’ll keep you updated on more release dates right here on Sneaker News and stay tuned for a preview of the Air Jordan 1 What The in the coming weeks.

Considered an OG colorway of the Air Jordan 3, the shoe will come dressed in a White premium leather upper offset by the True Blue hits noted on the misole, lining, eyestay and the Nike branding on the heel. A little bit of Red gives the shoe a nice pop as it’s placed on the Jumpman on the tongue, the lower eyelets and the branding on the outsoles. The beloved Elephant print not only seen on the heel and toe, but also on the eyestay, a feature that distinguishes this colorway from other OG versions. As of right now, the shoe is scheduled to release on November 25th for the retail price of $220. Author’s Take

The True Blue 3s are one of my favorite Air Jordans of all-time. I love Blue on sneakers and I love the 3s. Initially I wasn’t interested in getting a pair since I have the 2011 version, but as we get closer to the release date, I may just have a change of heart! Damn you Jordan Brand!

The Air Jordan 1 What The Will Release On Cyber Monday!

Not the actual image of the Air Jordan 1 What The what-the-air-jordan-1-release-date-2

Talks of a potential Air Jordan 1 What The began surfacing back in March. There were even a couple of photoshop images that showed us what some of us thought the shoe would end up looking like. Ever since then, not much additional info has been provided regarding this potential release. Now we just got word that the shoe has an actual release date! Wait, what?!

As of right now, all we know is that the Air Jordan 1 What The is inspired by some of the most popular colorways ever seen on the Air Jordan 1. These colorways will be strategically placed on the paneling of the shoe. Some hate the idea, while others love it. Regardless, the shoe appears to be releasing! The reason we say it’s releasing is because Foot Locker Europe already has a landing page for the shoe with a release date attached to it. As of today, the shoe is said to be dropping on November 28th, which happens to also by Cyber Monday! Are you hyped about this shoe, or is Nike/Jordan Brand doing too much? Let us know in the comments below and stick with KoF as more info begins to surface.

Release Alert: The Air Jordan 12 OVO White Is Postponed Indefinitely

The Air Jordan 12 OVO White was rumored to be releasing on July 30th. Obviously, that didn’t happen. Many of us thought that the date was simply pushed back but it was still well on its way. Now we just got word that the shoe is postponed, indefinitely!

According to reliable source @_PO2345, the shoe may not even be coming out this year. On one of his recent tweets, he did mention that the shoe could end up releasing during the first quarter of next year, so that’s good news, I guess. No word on what the hold up is, but better later then never, right? Or is it never late is better? See what I did there? Ha!

The Quilted Air Jordan 1 KO Is Here In Navy

Jordan Brand continues to up the ante on their lifestyle-grade retros. The Air Jordan 1 has been one of the most frequently remixed silhouettes in the Jumpman’s catalog, perhaps due to the fact that the model is instantly recognizable no matter what form, materials, or colorway it takes. Today we get a look at the Air Jordan 1 KO Quilted in a brand new Navy colorway perfect for any occasion.

The Air Jordan 1 KO has always been the less sought after rendition of Mike’s first signature thanks to the substitution of canvas for the usual leather panels. That doesn’t mean that Jordan Brand has paid any less attention to the AJKO series in recent years, as classic Bred, Chicago, and Royal themes have all hit retailers. Here an added quilted suede base contrasts the canvas overlays and branding while a standout white ‘Wings’ logo offsets the lifestyle grade Metallic Red Bronze eyelets throughout. Grab your size today from select spots like Sneaker Politics.

An Up Close Look At The Air Jordan 5 Olympic That Releases Tomorrow

Air Jordan 5 Olympic 1 Air Jordan 5 Olympic 2 Air Jordan 5 Olympic 3 Air Jordan 5 Olympic 4 Air Jordan 5 Olympic 5 Air Jordan 5 Olympic 6

Golden tones land on one of the most popular Jordan Brand silhouettes of all-time with the release of this new Air Jordan 5 tomorrow.

Jordan Brand will be giving us golden retros in consecutive weeks starting off with this Air Jordan 5 Olympic that comes dressed in a premium White leather upper. Black accents on the midsole, upper eyelets, inner liner, and the branding on the heel and tongue provide some contrast and balance. What stands out the most are the hits of Metallic Gold that appear on the shiny tongue and the signature shark teeth on the midsole. An icy blue translucent outsole finishes off this Air Jordan 5.

Wouldn’t it be dope if Jimmy Butler or Carmelo Anthony busted these out on Sunday for the Gold Medal game at the Olympics? It’s a long shot, but hey you never know.

You can purchase a pair beginning tomorrow, August 20th, for a retail price of $190. Click and bookmark our official Air Jordan 5 Olympic (Gold Medal) launch page now for more images, details and release info.

I’ve been going back and forth on whether or not I should pick these up but I finally made up my mind and decided that I’m gonna pass on them. I’m just not feeling the shiny gold on the tongue.

One of my favorite pairs that I’ve seen from Hamilton’s collection so far. The gum bottom looks real nice on the Jordan 12.

Air Jordan 5 Retro Gold Tongue Drops Tomorrow

Team USA takes on Spain in the Olympic Semi-Finals today at 2:30pm. The game promises to be one of the squad’s toughest to date in the men’s basketball bracket, and (fingers crossed) it should be a hard fought game especially considering Team USA’s earlier struggles against lesser opponents. Jordan Brand is celebrating the quest for another Gold Medal in an exciting new way with the introduction of the Air Jordan 5 “Gold Tongue” slated to release this Saturday, August 20th for $190 USD.

The Jordan 5 Gold Tongue keeps things relatively simple thanks to a clean white remastered leather upper with matching side panel mesh, a high-contrast black midsole, and an icy outsole. The real call to attention here is the Metallic Gold Coin accents throughout, found in the form of a patent leather tongue and on the mustang fighter jet-inspired shark teeth, speckled with black to match the midsole. Interestingly enough, this Olympic-referencing retro skips out on any American affiliation as the usual red, white, and blue colorway is absent for a new twist that instead focuses on the prize at hand – the Olympic Gold Medal.

What do you think of the latest Air Jordan 5 release? Check out more of the Jordan 5 Gold Tongue after the break, and if you can’t wait to grab your pair tomorrow, you can already find your size on eBay.
