Stepping inside a Hollywood studio never gets old. Sure, it’s a familiar sight for those of us who live in the Los Angeles area, but there’s still a magic to it that’s hard to convey unless you’re walking from one studio to the next. If you grew up watching movies like Batman or Ghostbusters or watched TV shows like Friends (heads up, I found Central Perk and may or may not have taken a gratuitous selfie there), know that this is where that work happened. And if you grew up a big Space Jam or Michael Jordan fan, know that this is where MJ really got his groove back during his first return to the NBA, playing pickup games between takes with fellow castmates and players.

This week, Jordan Brand and Warner Bros. began what we like to affectionately call Space Jam Season. The film is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year and to coincide with that, we are getting a retro release of the Air Jordan 11, a rebranding of the Air Jordan 9 that MJ wore in the movie and a brand new Air Jordan XXX1 that borrows quite liberally from the 11. But more than that, the movie is getting a renewed lease on life with a 20th anniversary Blu-Ray release, constant talk about a sequel which may or may not star LeBron James, and a brand new #MonstarsBack campaign featuring Blake Griffin and Jimmy Butler. Oh, and there’s the amazing Space Jam-themed court inside Warner Bros. Studios that’s being hosted by Jordan Brand. That’s kind of a big deal, right?

Last night, we got to check out the space that features all sorts of Space Jam memorabilia, a working OG Playstation with the eponymous game running, the shoes dropping over the next few weeks and a high school basketball game featuring the city’s top teams.
