The Air Jordan 4 Motorsports Pops Up Early

The Air Jordan 4 “Motorsports” won’t release until March 26th, but retailer Jimmy Jazz momentarily had these up on their site for a short while before taking them down for good. The white/blue/royal colorway gets the “Motorsports” nickname for its resemblance to a rare PE made for the Jordan Motorsports team; that version has a slightly darker shade of blue while also featuring the Mars Blackmon logo on the heel. False alarm, everybody, but at least we get a detailed look at a retail pair! More photos ahead.
Today we get our first look at the Mark Wahlberg x Jordan Brand collaboration that utilizes JB’s latest silhouette, the Jordan Formula 23. The Wahlburgers x Jordan Formula 23 was inspired by Mark Wahlberg’s A&E show ?Wahlburgers? and comes in three colorways that all utilize a different combination of white, green, and black. Each pair comes with the Wahlburger logo on the tongues and insole, and the Jumpman logo on the heels.
The Wahlbergers x Jordan Formular 23 is not expected to release to the public any time soon.
This Years Air Jordan 1 BHM Collection Features Velcro Patches

Jordan Brand is bringing some new features to this year’s Air Jordan 1 Black History Month offerings. Not only will the famed 1987 silhouette that started it all get luxurious Black/Metallic Gold constructions, but both the grade school girl’s sizes and men’s options will feature removable velcro patch branding.
We previewed the Air Jordan 1 BHM in a head-turning girl’s colorway last night. The Air Jordan 1 GG “Black History Month” benefits from a Metallic Gold patent leather on the side panels and toebox while a texturized black hits the forefoot and ankle for a simple yet unique option. A removable tongue patch alternates between classic Jumpman branding and Nike’s signature ‘BHM’ crest.
The men’s version of the Air Jordan 1 BHM takes a simpler approach thanks to a tumbled black leather. This pair also includes more patchwork options as the iconic ‘Wings’ logo can be swapped out for other options not yet showcased. The side panel Swoosh branding gets a matching gold leather aesthetic to coincide with alternating Jumpman and BHM tongue patches.

Flaunting a premium makeover of smooth black nubuck, the stealthy profile is punctuated with metallic gold accents utilized for its eyelets, as well as branding on the tongue and on the heel with an enlarged Jumpman logo, which is adhered atop a leather heel tab for more luxe appeal. Finally, a clean white midsole unit and black outsole finishes off the sleek profile.

The Air Jordan 1 High Pure White Is Dropping Early

While it’s suggested to be releasing sometime later this Spring 2017, the Air Jordan 1 Pure White is now revealed to be releasing at a few retailers sooner than expected.
Defined by its whiteout aesthetic, the classic basketball sneaker dons a premium tumbled leather construction, while another focal point is directed at the heel, ankle section and swooshes across its side panels, which bears miniature perforations for a more distinctive look. Further detailed with the signature wings logo on the collar area, the model is juxtaposed against a contrasting black outsole to round out its clean design altogether.
Priced at $160, select JB and Nike retailers have this pair releasing on Saturday, February 4th.

Luxe Construction On The Just Don x Air Jordan 2 Pink

Another look at the forthcoming Just Don x Air Jordan 2 Pink is provided, as it’s noted to be the third and final colorway of the standout collaboration.
Blue and Beach variations that dropped in 2015 and 2016 respectively were the other notable pairs, although, this latest variation is unofficially dubbed as ?Valentine?. Perhaps to coordinate with the upcoming holiday next month, the model is draped in a another monochromatic theme of light pink. The slightly vibrant tone essentially covers the sneaker?s entire profile, which is comprised of premium quilted leather and suede overlays.

Joining alongside the men’s AJ 1 BHM will be this women’s Air Jordan 1 GS, which essentially celebrates Black History Month (February).
Unlike the men’s predominantly black build, this GS variation dons metallic gold as its dominant tone, which is prominent across its side panels and toe cap. Black is also utilized, which adorns the laces, swooshes, ankle section and toe box, although, it also inherits a slight shimmer for additional flair.
Further detailed with removal branded velcro patches on the tongue, the sneaker is topped off with a clean white rubber sole unit to round out its profile altogether.

The New Jordan Formula 23 Will Be Available In More Colorways

Following its official introduction yesterday, a preview of upcoming colorways for the new Jordan Formula 23 is now revealed, as eight renditions are showcased, in addition to the inaugural black/white pair.
Essentially inspired by the classic Air Jordan 10, which takes the upper webbing and gore lace accents of the silhouette — the new lifestyle model also bears a synthetic leather mudguard that connects to the laces and provides lockdown and lateral support. Additionally, a neoprene collar provides a comfortable, one-to-one fit, as an injected phylon unit in the midsole provides lightweight cushioning and a sculpted surface.

This Air Jordan 1 Chameleon (All Star) will be debuting next month during the NBA All-Star Weekend festivities, and it’ll also join alongside this forthcoming AJ 6.

Jordan Brand Takes Over Tennis (Again) With Serena Williams

This tennis legend is a huge Michael Jordan fan. Before they would carve out their own path to greatness on the tennis court, they were watching MJ achieve it on the basketball court. Of course, since they were such huge fans of His Airness, they wore Air Jordans when they were kids and when they became Nike athletes. But little did they know that years later they would get a chance to work with Jordan Brand to create a special edition of their signature shoes but with elements taken from their favorite Js. It’s an honor that is reserved for people who can truly lay claim to being the GOAT of their field.
With that being said, was I talking about Serena Williams – who is now one major away from tying Margaret Court for the most singles tennis majors – or was I talking about Roger Federer – who just added to his already record major total by winning the Australian Open this past weekend against longtime rival Rafael Nadal – when it comes to tennis greats who now have at least tangentially, signature Jordan Brand shoes? The answer is both and once again Jordan Brand comes up on top like they always do.
The NikeCourt Flare AJ1 and the Nike Court Zoom Vapor Tour AJ3
In 2014, from seemingly out of nowhere, NikeCourt and Jordan Brand teamed up for the Zoom Vapor Tour AJ3, an amalgamation of Federer’s favorite signature shoe, the Nike Zoom Vapor Tour 9 and the greatest basketball shoe of all-time (IMHO), the Air Jordan 3. Decked out in the iconic White Cement colorway, the Vapor Tour AJ3 was the talk of the sneaker world and had sneakerheads actually tuning in to a first-round US Open tennis match just to catch a glimpse of the shoe and Michael Jordan, who was watching from the stands to show support for a fellow GOAT. Not that it needed it, but the Vapor Tour AJ3 in the White Cement colorway sold out in seconds and a few months later, a Black Cement colorway was met with similar love.
Not since Andre Agassi was on top of the world in Nike Air Tech Challenges have people paid attention to what’s on the feet of a tennis player. It spoke to the crossover appeal that MJ and Jordan Brand have that even though they are outsiders to the sport, they can come in and dominate the conversation like literally no one else in the world can. After that hurdle was passed, who was next in line? Enter Serena…
The synergy was just too good to pass up. In order to break her tie with Steffi Graf for most tennis majors in the Open Era, Serena Williams needed to get to 23. Considering her love for the Air Jordan 1 and how long lead times are for sneakers from concept to realization, Williams’ NikeCourt Flare in the Air Jordan 1 Banned colors had to have been in production for a while now. It was only a matter of time before Nike was going to be able to show them (and that beautiful box) to the world.
Over the next few weeks, we are going to be treated to two colorways of the NikeCourt Flare that pay homage to the Air Jordan 1 and then there will be an Air Jordan 1 with Serena’s logos. Obviously we live in a very different sneaker landscape compared to 2014, but I wouldn’t be surprised if these were some of the biggest releases of the year for Jordan Brand and it’s only January.
Greatness recognizes greatness is Jordan Brand’s strategy when it comes to sports that don’t involve a basketball. They’ve done it twice already with Federer and Serena in tennis, they teamed up with Neymar for a well-received Air Jordan 5 Low (which is an accomplishment in and of itself), and then there are obscene amount of cleated PEs official Jordan athletes like Dez Bryant, Dexter Fowler, and Keegan Bradley get in their respective sports. The only question now is, what’s next?
Well, at least Enzo Amore got to be in the Royal Rumble. I’m sure that spot could have gone to somebody who would have lasted more than a few seconds like Samoa Joe or Finn Balor or Kurt Angle or maybe even Shinsuke Nakamura, but I’ll take Enzo’s cameo along with his Air Jordan 6 Pinnacle Gold if only for Corey Graves’ amazing commentary as the Certified G made his way to the ring.
Last night the kickoff to Wrestlemania season got off to a great start as the main event picture started to become just a little bit clearer. The Royal Rumble match put together some match-ups we have never seen before – Goldberg vs. Undertaker being the most noteworthy – and also helped establish some stars who needed that little extra push like Braun Strowman (who was all over the place throughout the event) and Baron Corbin. With two more pay-per-view events left before the big show (not the wrestler), Randy Orton will be vying for a championship, Goldberg and Brock Lesnar will likely resume their feud in earnest, the Undertaker looks like he might have issues with Roman Reigns and John Cena will be in the title picture one way or another.
As is always the case whenever one of the major shows roll around, all of the WWE Superstars bring out their best gear and that includes their kicks. You know that John Cena is always going to represent for the kids and the everyman with his K-Mart Never Give Up sneakers, but check out what some of your favorites were also wearing last night including Enzo’s Jordans, Kofi Kingston’s LeBron Soldiers, Nikki Bella in adidas and more.
