The 2017 NBA All-Star Weekend kicks off today at New Orleans, Louisiana, and to further celebrate the midseason classic, Jordan Brand‘s newest flagship location at 221 Chartres St. has a full gold Air Jordan collection on display.

Featuring a number of MJ’s beloved styles such as the Air Jordan 1, Air Jordan 3, Air Jordan 4, Air Jordan 5 and Air Jordan 11 amongst a few other silhouettes — each pair is essentially dipped in metallic gold.

While the pairs aren’t available for purchase, you can still view and appreciate the entire set if you’re currently in New Orleans.

Previewed yesterday at the menswear label’s pop-up shop at 330 Hudson in NYC, this PSNY x Air Jordan 12 Wheat is noted to be the next variation, which follows the original grey-colored pair that debuted back in 2015.

Similar to the initial release, the sneaker is defined by a premium monochromatic makeover. Smooth nubuck covers its entirety, which is draped in a workboot-inspired wheat color scheme. All adhered atop a gum outsole to match its tonal aesthetic, the model is topped off with PSNY branding located on the tongues and insole.

Priced at $300, this standout variation is suggested to release at select JB and Nike stockists sometime during Summer 2017.

If you watched the Grammy’s this past weekend, you were treated to A Tribe Called Quest’s epic performance in which they made it clear that they were not down with the President of the United States. They called the current President “Agent Orange” during their performance and also chanted “Resist” to let it be known that they’re not going to simply accept all these changes America is currently undergoing.

Feeling inspired, Spike Lee decided to get these customs Air Jordan 1s done using the Air Jordan 1 High BHM. One of the most anticipated release this upcoming weekend is the Air Jordan 6 All Star.

This brand new colorway of the Air Jordan 6 takes on a unique look as the entire upper is done in an iridescent leather that shifts colors when hit by the light. The iridescent leather upper is complemented by black detailing on the laces, tongue, inner liner, heel tab, and midsole. Lastly we have a semi-translucent outsole that matches up nicely with the colorful upper.

Many people may not be aware that a GS colorway of the Air Jordan 6 will be releasing this weekend.

Covered in black all throughout the upper, this colorway of the Air Jordan 6 for the smaller footed crowd features a nubuck/suede upper with a glossy textured leather overlay. Other details include a white midsole and an icy blue translucent outsole. Additional black detailing is seen on the tongue, laces, inner liner, and heel tab.

Any ladies plan on picking up the Air Jordan 6 GS Heiress this weekend? Release date is scheduled for February 17th (tomorrow) for a retail price of $160.

A lot of the attention on this weekend’s releases is being focused on the All Star-themed releases from Jordan Brand. But don’t forget that the OG Chicago colorway of the Air Jordan 13 will also be arriving at retailers.

Worn by Michael Jordan in the late 90s, this OG colorway of the Air Jordan 13 comes constructed out of a white tumbled leather on the majority of the upper with bright red detailing on the mudguard, heel, and midsole. Black accents on the tongue branding and outsole complete the Chicago theme. And of course we can’t forget about the hologram on the ankle.

When Jordan Brand releases a new colorway of the Air Jordan 1 it’s usually a hit or miss. It appears that they’ve hit the bullseye with the new All Star colorway that will release this weekend.

Taking on a classic and simple black and white leather construction on the majority of the upper, this Air Jordan 1 stands out due to the iridescent detailing that has been placed on the toe as well as on the ankle/heel. Iridescent aglets, a white midsole, and a translucent/iridescent outsole completes the look on this Jordan 1. Dropping on February 19th in men’s and GS sizes, will you be grabbing a pair?

A Tribe Called Quest shut down the Grammys and shouted a deliberate anti-Trump message, calling the current President “Agent Orange” during their performance and chanting “Resist” loud and clear for the world to hear.

Spike Lee got the message and was inspired enough to curate these custom Air Jordan 1s featuring the Q-Tip and Busta Rhymes inspired words in bold red and white. The premium black leather base ditches the Wings logos on the ankle collar and Vachetta Tan Swoosh branding adds subtle contrast to the political statement.

If you somehow pass by 330 Hudson in New York City, you’ll treat yourself with an initial look at the PSNY x Air Jordan 12 Wheat, which is currently on display at the menswear label?s pop-up shop.

With the original grey-colored pair scheduled to be offered once again in limited quantities at this very same location today, this variation is essentially constructed in the same premium suede build, although, covered in a monochromatic Wheat theme.

It’s unclear if this pair will be offered to the public in the near future, but, stay tuned to KicksOnFire for further updates.

As you all know, the 2017 NBA All-Star Game was scheduled to take place in Charlotte. Last March, the state of North Carolina passed House Bill 2, a controversial bill that was deemed discriminatory to transgenders and the LBGT community as a whole. In response to the events, the National Basketball Association made the decision to relocate the mid-February festivities to New Orleans, citing in short that the values and principles of the NBA were not aligned with House Bill 2.

For the basketball fans of Charlotte, there was clearly a void. But Social Status, with one of its busiest locations in the heart of the city, is stepping in to shine brightly with a complete All-Star experience for the community and particularly the youth that had yet to experience the hoopla of All-Star Weekend. Beginning tomorrow, Social Status and Jordan will host daily events highlighting the All-Stars of the Charlotte community and the Jordan athletes in the NBA.
